Make this March one to remember, join the Court of Legends leaderboard so you can make it legendary. Trey Hendrickson moments ago, introduced as the newest member of the Baltimore Ravens. Hendrickson just took a picture with Eric Costos and the GM was under fire for the crew Max Crosby situation and head coach Jesse Minter. Hendrickson asked about what it would have been like to play with Max Crosby, and obviously this would never have happened, but said that would have been a phenomenal opportunity. So Trey Hendrickson, good company man already, day one on the job.
And if you're a Las Vegas Raiders fan, if you're Max Crosby, all of this has to make you absolutely sick. And speaking of absolutely sick. So yesterday I missed the show, and I know that it's become a running joke amongst like especially longtime listeners and viewers of the show. I get notes from newer listeners and viewers. Thank you very much that are like, hey, why aren't you working? I haven't in my contract, you know, I work six and a half days a week basically during football, more time off outside of football season. Yesterday was not like a schedule day off for Nick Costos yesterday was actually I'm bragging and I am, this is me trying to be like, look, I am a tough guy. I'm not, but I'll pretend to be in the almost seven calendar years, it's crazy. Almost seven calendar years that you better, you bet has been on the air. And summer 2019 yesterday was the first day I've ever missed because I was sick.
That has not happened in the history of the show. I had COVID in 2020. I was pretty sick in December of 2020, early December 2020, did the show the entire week felt like at the time, like the show was starting to get off the ground with me and Ken felt like I couldn't miss a week during football season work the entire week. It took me yesterday was not possible, it was impossible. So I have a sinus infection and I know this because I went to our urgent care yesterday. I thought I had COVID because it was kind of like similar symptoms, but not the, I guess it wasn't right. I have a sinus infection. I got tested for it. Don't have the flu either. So if you remember on Wednesday, my voice was pretty scratchy, not a hundred percent, but I wouldn't say I was sick during the show on Wednesday. The day went on on Wednesday, I was like, oh, well, this is a little interesting. And me and my wife made the decision because by like nighttime, I ain't had gotten worse.
And I don't want to get my wife sick and I don't want my daughter to get sick and my wife's with my daughter like while I'm at work, right? So I make the decision, we make the decision for me to sleep on the couch. So I go downstairs to sleep on the couch, right? And it's about 11 o'clock hits and I'm still awake and I wanted to go to sleep early. And I'm laying there and I'm wide awake and I have a splitting headache and I start to like not full on hallucinate. It's not like I was on like magic mushrooms. That's not what it was. But you've all, we've all experienced, right? Like fever dreams when like you're sick and you have like these real, lacked out dreams. I'm having that while I'm awake. So if you're in the local area here in New York and I'm sure a lot of you are not, but even if you're not, you'll understand what I'm about to say. Like it starts, is it lightning or thunder that happens before a rainstorm?
I don't know. Anyway, one of those things starts happening and I see like the bright flashes of light outside. And I thought like we're getting nuked, like we're under attack. Like this is the level of like feverish that I felt like I was. Like it was just a rainstorm and in my head, I'm thinking the United States of America is under attack. Like we're all in trouble right now. And you're having these thoughts and like as I'm having these thoughts, I'm like I'm really sick. None of what I'm thinking about is true right now, but it's all really insane. I go up to pee, sorry for you speaking in those crude terms to use the bathroom, whatever. And as I'm freezing, like I'm shivering. And as I'm standing there and I'm going to the bathroom, I'm like I'm gonna faint. Like what's going on here? I walk out, finish, fall on the couch, break out in a cold sweat. So the point that like I felt my arms afterwards, I'm like soaked because of this cold sweat.
So I feel like my fever had broken in that moment. So that's like the middle of the night. So take this back to about 11 o'clock p.m. Wednesday night. In that moment, I'm thinking do I need to text like the guys now? When I made the decision in that moment, no one's going to answer everyone sleeping. I'll just wait till the morning and see how I feel. I ended up texting Bill at 5 a.m. to be like, hey, like kind of need you to call Chris or call somebody to see if they can do the show today because there's no way I'm going to be able to do it. So that's what it took. Fever dreams wall awake, basically hallucinating, cold sweat to the point that I'm soaked in the couch is soaked, splitting headache and barely able to speak. Thankfully, on some end time, now I'm on a cocktail of a moxicillin, Advil, cold insinus. I've had the medicine ball from Starbucks, like that big tea contraption thing.
Ready to go now. These are the things that we do for you here, our fans on you better you bet. So that was a way of me just talking about how cool I am. Here I am. Sick as a dog. Still at work. Final hour power hour coming up next, ESPN NFL draft analyst, the great Matt Miller kicks it off. This is Westwood One Scores.
