The brothers outlined five ingredients for reconnection: attention, curiosity, vulnerability, responsiveness, and erotic/affective engagement, emphasizing that couples must be intentional about staying connected and willing to take emotional risks through open communication. They discussed how electronic devices and daily routines can distract couples from each other and stressed the importance of asking open-ended questions rather than yes/no questions to maintain curiosity and connection in relationships.
