watching it, you know, the lead up to the final hour of pre-draft coverage on ESPN and Brent Michaels of poison is, is, is, you know, he's a Pittsburgh guy. He's a Steelers fan. Yeah. And so he's got his faux cowboy hat and he's got a Steelers regalia on. He's, I think they're with Wiz Khalifa. And watching it without sound is maybe the, the funniest way you can take it in, because it's apparent that the crowd is half comatose. Mm-hmm. And at one point, Brent Michaels, you could tell he's just trying to get people going. And he has, he has, he has everyone's waving their, he's, I'm sorry, he and Wiz Khalifa in his band, they're waving their hands, right? Yeah. And the audience is kind of going along, but in like the least spirited. What is it? It's like, it's that page section. Yeah. In the head of where it's like, oh, we put seven dolphins fans here. And now there's 12 Ravens fans. And then there's 13 Bengals fans. And it's just a very awkward experience.
I listen, I, I think the concept of the draft on the road is great. And it's the same thing with like if they eventually do this with a combine. Yeah. Same thing with the Super Bowl. It's better than at the radio music city hall. Yes. Exactly. And I do think it when done right, you get, you get that local flavor. But man, did they have a ways to go to make it not feel forced regardless of where it is? Like this Brent Michaels thing. I have no problem with you having these concerts. That, that's a cool thing. But it is apparent that when you're trying to televised them, if it's a turd, there's no running from it. And like, they're just was like, I can't imagine like Brent Michaels. And I he's not known for self awareness. So he probably doesn't feel this way. I would feel like such an a hole. If I was Brett Michaels singing a bunch of football fans who three seconds out there, you get also does not care about you at all. Kind of like a cheese look
myself in the mirror type moment for him. Is it not like you're I don't think he's capable of that. You're an hour. No, you're an hour before round two. Yeah, but it's not a heavy hit a moment. I'm not trying to take shots. If you like poison, you like poison. That's fine. There are a lot of people that love Brent Michaels. A lot of people that love hair metal. I'm not taking a shot at this. But it has been 40 years since poisons had a hit. Yeah. So maybe this is the closest thing he's had. This is his big moment right here. I thought he was like someone out concert still, wasn't he? He has been for a long time. Okay. A 2000 cedar. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know the venue. Yeah. We got a nice little venue. I don't know. By the way, let's get out three other seats. I bet you he would destroy. Is that right? Are we selling out quick and loans? I don't think we are. Yeah, what's funny is that is I and I heard Ken this morning Ken was getting on like the house band that was like playing Renegade and doing all that other stuff. And he was saying, well, if the draft comes back to Cleveland, they have to do a whole bunch of Michael Stanley and a whole bunch of everything. When the draft was here in Cleveland, I went. They did all the same stuff. Yeah. They did everything that
the Browns, you everything you think the Browns would do and all the local hits. They did them. I was there. I listened to all of it. It is not a great draft. It's not a great experience in general. By the way, they tried. They put like all sorts of different stuff you could do inside the stadium, but it was just different than how this is set up now where there's like hundreds of thousands of people. Well, in Cleveland, with how it currently is, that's a tough setup over there because the space by, but, but why would they would have done like fourth street for being honest about it? Like I think conceptually the NFL draft is one of the this, this, this is not just a successful financial event, but I think this thing can continue to grow and become something even more special. The more it goes there, but they got to tamp down some of the corporate crap in this because it sucks the soul out of it. You know, like I don't see the NFL draft experientially as a media member, different than I do the NBA draft or an all star event. Like I'm sorry, that all star events like I when I was in Charlotte, we hosted the NBA all star game and I remember
saying like, oh, it's a NBA event that's in Charlotte, but isn't about Charlotte because the and there are different. Yeah. And again, like I get that leagues aren't going to think how can I embrace this area? How can I? But it's noticeable. Like you when you're in a town, I think I think it's really here. You had to go to the different events. Okay. When the all star game was here for the NBA, I remember like going to go into our city and they had, they had like all sorts of different events that were inside the mall there. It was weird though because it was like a G who's it was the guy that always goes around with the clock that I can think of now. Flava Flava Flava. Yeah, but it was like you go to a store and Flava Flava would just be there. And it was like a lot of that, but it was like they don't advertise that. That wasn't something that was like come see Flava Flava at Tower City. It was like you just happen to be there. And then there's all sorts of NBA stuff. And then there's Flava Flava. And different different things like that. It kept up winning up everywhere. All right. Flava Flava. Am I not saying Flava Flava? You're saying Flava. Am I not giving them? Yeah. It's
due justice. Yeah. Yeah. I would say so. You're going full government. Yeah. Am I waiting it up too much? I think many people listen. Yeah. It's very nice back. I would say, I would say, you know, sound like a great broadcaster, but this government names a great call. Flava Flava. Yeah. Yeah. Sounds like you're being a bit of a public enemy. Okay. Then see Flava Flava. Oh, I got the job. We all we all got that. We got that. I didn't know after you saying Flava Flava. Listen, I watched all of his MTV shows because that was back. That was back when MTV was really after it. All right. So when it comes to, and we're going into some calls here, two and six, four, seven, four, double, nine, two, we don't want to hear what you guys love. Great show. Flava of love. So you got it right there. But two and six, four, seven, four, double, nine, two. What do you want the Browns to do tonight in the second and third rounds? What do you want them to stay away from? Drafts? I hated Arizona. Jeremiah love when you have. I know. Listen, I think he's going to be a very good player.
But what's the worst thing you can do to a special running back, put him behind a bad offensive line? And oh, by the way, give him nothing at quarterback. I mean, I told you, waiting up to yesterday, it just felt like the owner was going to get what the owner wanted. Yeah. And the owner got what the owner. There was not an awesome four call that was the owner stepping in saying, I want to sell tickets. And I, this is what I want. And this is how this is going to go. It's a little ashton genty for me on that one. Yeah. Like again, I think ashton genty will be a good football player. But not if the Raiders don't get a better offensive line in front of a Mac to add on to that as well. Jeremiah love now being selected at number three overall comes into the NFL with the most guaranteed money ever given to a running back. Yeah. For even playing a snap. So I didn't love that. Um, I'm actually trying to screw the chiefs was very peculiar how that whole thing went down with Delaney and Peter Woods. Yeah, I almost wonder. Like that was I don't think their intention was to just take Delaney. I really don't I won't I won't be sold on that. I I it just it doesn't make sense. He wasn't
going to be taken before nine anyway. And so they gave up picks. I I think they wanted Reese. And I think they were just thinking the giants weren't going to go Reese there. And then they they they'd made the trade and they jumped the gun. And then they just kind of got stuck. I can't remember whom said this. I think it might have been any Reese. It might have been Brett Beach. One of them. I'm pretty sure came out and said the second car now tape went off the board at four. They they realized it was Delaney or bust. And I was angry. And I don't I don't believe him. I don't believe him. No, because it just makes no sense. He was going to be there at nine. And so the idea that you had to trade up for him. It just it just I think the Cowboys were trying to trade up two for Delaney. That was the other. The Cowboys. The Cowboys were sitting pretty. In fact, the Cowboys did exactly what they should have done. They traded up one spot for 11. And that was exactly what they needed. No, I actually remember what it was now. There've been a big rumor that day that Washington was going to Laney at seven. That that was and that and again,
that was a smoke screen because I think they were going. And what you saw when you saw how the board was breaking and how it broke properly. Like they were always going to choose sunny styles over Delaney. So is there a draft you loved or hated? Yeah. So and I hate to steal it from Ross because I had this before we had Ross on. But I absolutely loved what the Jets did there. Because I like I like to deek we've talked about to deek a lot. I think it's the best tight edit in the class. And then I love with I love them getting Cooper trading in to get Cooper was fantastic. Now the problem they have is that they don't have a quarterback and they don't have a head coach. So I don't think you're going to see the payoff with that. But the idea that they got the value they got where they got. I don't know that anyone could have had a better draft. So I think I think it was really tough to have the number two pick this year because what they needed most of all was a quarterback very similar to the Browns. So I I like David Bailey. I think it makes sense. They traded your main Johnson for sweat the nose tackle from. So you needed another edge rusher. So these a good get Omar Cooper juniors a good get. And I think specifically
across from Garrett Wilson. It's a good get. I actually if I can just focus on the Titans and just on their wide receiver picks. I really like that. Like I didn't like Kendrick Faulk. That was in trading. I didn't see I didn't see take coming for the Titans. That was that was the first shock of the night for myself. And that was that was incredible. And I experienced it in real time and it's stung. But the bet once you have your franchise quarterback, the next best thing you can do is try and get him a wide receiver to help make his life easier. I know Tyler Shock already has a lavet and they've got a couple other weapons, but Jordan Tyson in that dome could be lights out for Tyler Shock. And Kim Ward and Carnault take could be really, really fun today. It wouldn't surprise me. I one of the things it surprised me is that I thought that the Titans were going to double up at wide receiver because they just don't have that. I just don't love what they have around him. Yeah. But so I was surprised for the trip for Falk. But I hated the Falk since since you mentioned the quarterbacks involved in all of this then like it is it. I mean, it is interesting
that you have cam wore the number one from last year. And what do they do? They went out and got you a wide receiver. And then Tyler Shock, the third quarterback off the board last year, they went out and got him a wide receiver. The giants didn't do that to help out Jackson Darn, at least not yet. But it is interesting. Like once you get that quarterback, then you can start to see some of the pieces come in and you can see just how it's like, all right, let's go help out the quarterback and let's get this figured out for. And I got to give props to how he rose man. He's already got enough. But to move up to no Pittsburgh was going to take Makai Lemon and to snake Makai Lemon, when you know you're going to be trading AJ Brown on, you know, June 1st. Yeah. And the rare that was really smart. The rare Eagles Cowboys trade that I think any time you bring up in any of the mock drafts or anything, it's like, well, this can't happen. They're not going to trade with each other. Well, here we are. Can we also have a Bill's Jets trade or was it a Bill's Patriots trade? I know we had another inner division trade and everyone was kind of blown away by that. 216474 0092. What was your favorite drafts? We got Bob rot. Let me
