Whittington Decommits from Boston College

0:00On March 19, 3 star defensive lineman, Xavier Wittington from Aberdeen, Maryland, has decommitted from Boston College. The class of 2027 prospect ranked as the number 837 overall player, number 88 defensive lineman. Nationally, and number 17 in his home state, made the announcement on Wednesday evening. He had pledged to Boston College and head coach, Bill O'Brien, back on December 4. Here this week though, Wittington picked up a new offer from Virginia Tech, which prompted talks with his family about reopening his recruitment. After discussing it over with them, he decided it was best to back off his commitment while still thanking the Eagle staff. This leaves Boston College with just five commits in their early 2027 class, which currently ranks number 37 nationally. Meanwhile, Virginia Tech jumps to the front of the pack for Wittington as their offer came right before his decision, and he visited Blacksburg as a sophomore.
