Which NFL Draft Prospects Are SLEPT On? | The Stack

Hi everybody, Brian brought us here and welcome to the stack. I almost said that incorrectly.

On too many shows, but yeah, we're here for the stack. My guy is Miss Countenbotties,

Ayesha Morrison, and Zach Wolchuk. Guys, getting ready to turn the calendar here, by the time next

time we all get together, we'll be into the month of April, which draws us closer to the draft.

Excited about that. Talking about the opportunity to have a combination of the doing all right and

the stack putting together a top 100 list. So excited about that with you guys, arguing. I worry

about fighting against Ayesha. Wow. You're feisty when it comes to these players. I'm not. You'll fight

nerdy. What? Well, I am five one. You have to get how you live. I know. Well, but we're excited

about that. We're going to come together and put together a crown global media top 100 board and

you can kind of follow along. That should probably carry you through the third round for sure. Yeah.

The stack without a stack without a stack, right? We're going to have a stack. So looking forward to that.

All right. I gave you guys a little homework assignment last night. And since we're getting into

into the draft and is as it's getting closer, everybody's talking about the top guys. Everybody's

talking about how, you know, okay, what will pick the 12 and 20 if you're following along with the

Cowboys. If you're not following along the Cowboys, you're kind of following along with what players

your team might select. But I gave my guys a little bit of a homework assignment last night as I'd

like three or four players and we'll do them individually and talk about them if we can. And

that there may be day two, day three that aren't getting enough love. You know, there's there's

there's folks out there that are it seems like we're talking about the same players a lot may our

shows not so much. I mean, we're trying to cover a lot of ground if you're watching if you've been

watching the doing all right the last few days. We're been into some fifth round guys fourth round

guys like that. So for you guys, I'd like to and I shall start with you just just give me one guy

off the top of your head or as you've looked at it that you've got in a pretty good spot.

But not enough people are talking about him. Oh yeah, I think for me is a we we talked about

these these corners and and safety's go pretty deep in this class. Arizona nickel a slash safety.

He's kind of a hybrid trading stocks. There you go. I think that he's gotten some love. I think

he's gotten a little bit more attention in his last couple weeks. But in comparison to the rest of

the gentleman in this class that I think have flex and our hybrid. I think this is one of the guys

with some of the best ball skills. Some of the best recovery speed that I've seen. Obviously the

ball production is is there. And also to I I was impressed with and I think that's why he can do

some safety things is his ability to continue having long speed over the top that he can still

carry receivers despite having to go from hash to hash. And I think that his ability to track

the ball downfield is what makes him interesting as like that hybrid guy. You know how many teams

are looking for guys kind of in those mid rounds that can have some upside, you know, but also to

can do multiple things. Right. This is a multiple player and favorite part about him. Very willing

tackler as well. Just to do this. Not afraid to tackle. Get his nose dirty. I think that all around

I see a player that has so much that to offer. And obviously, two, I mean, four, three, uh, 40

killed that. So I just feel like, yeah, he needs some more love. Yeah, he absolutely needs some more

love. I totally I like what you did there. I have him as a safety on my board. You do. I moved him.

I moved him from. I think they still think he could be a fantastic nickel. I know. I don't

disagree with you. I think I kind of have this guy in that hybrid role. I have him in that

role of like, wow, you could play him in the slot. You could play him. But you see him cover.

The majority of his majority of his work is in the slot. And you're talking about the ideal

length of the position. The super tough. He's aggressive. But I'm glad you brought him up

because, you know, this guy was a walk on at Arizona and and and and got and got a scholarship

and stuff like that. And there is there's he he wants to be a part of that. You could tell that

he's a a player that wants to be a part of the action hungry for that contact hungry to be very

competitive in the way he plays. And I I see him driving on the ball. I see him with getting

you know, when it's maybe a screen getting rid of guys getting in there on the play. I think

this guy likes to jam receivers. I think he likes to be disruptive that way. I feel like that the

read that the way he sees play development and yes smart football intelligence and stuff like that

trained stokes ideal length ideal size. I think ideal player. I'm glad you brought him up.

I should just ask you. He thoughts on that. No, I agree with you guys team captain high football

you he can undercut the ball really well. And he's a guy that just plays to the whistle. Right.

He he does not quit on plays. He hustles. I do love his ability to step up in the run game.

There's a and in the size. I mean, you guys have really crushed it six one one 90. I mean,

I think that he is. Perfect size. He really he's got everything that he did have a medical injury

in 2024. He missed most of the season due to an ACL ACL. Yeah. Yeah. And that's why he is going

to be. Yeah. I think especially in this particular class as we talk about all the depth at that

right. Like the safety and corner spot. I think the injury is why I will see we will see him go

in like the mid rounds. But again, another I mean, if a team takes him another year remove from

that, I'm sure he's gonna. Yeah, you're right. Yeah, you're right about that 24 and 25. They had to

deal with the the ACL stuff. So he's missed some gain some times. But Zach, go ahead, which is

here. Remind you a little bit of of Jalen Thompson from the Cowboys just signed as a safety

that has the ability to also play the nickel. Yeah, I tab it. I think he kind of covers better.

Yeah. I think the cover I think Thompson can cover well. But I think this guy covers even better.

I think I you're talking about maybe keeping him at corner nickel, right? More than playing

him as a safety. No, I see I see the safety ability. Yeah, I'm surprised that you had him just

straight. I just I straight moved him. I straight moved him because I was sitting there thinking

about, wait a minute, this guy plays slot and he could also any tackles really well. And I maybe

you could do some other things with him. Could you play him down in the box? I mean, there's times

you see you absolutely can't and I just think he like you like you mentioned, he reads the run

really well. And you mentioned his hands and how he likes to jam guys. I think the like the hand

fighting is something that I like as well. I don't like a corner that doesn't want a hand fight.

Yeah, I don't want a guy that doesn't want to get in people's faces or even just through the

rep. And I think that's why he makes me plays on the ball. He times his decisions very well to me

when he's making decisions to go at the ball. And he just moved so smoothly. I like the ability to

plan. Yeah, I mean, change direction. Mid-run guy. Good player. Yep. Gonna be a good player for

somebody. Take the 92. Absolutely. If he can make it. He ain't making it. Yeah, thanks. No, I mean,

I see what man. You can't you you nailed this guy. His willingness to come and make plays.

That's what people are looking for too. And yeah, I mean, he's kind of what people are looking for.

If the knee checks out. Right. This guy is going to go. And I don't you know, I think you're right.

I don't think he's getting enough love. Yeah, I think he's I would be surprised if he won the

second round. What? I really want to be on my move around people. I know. Well, no day two,

day three, day two, day three. Oh, I'm like, oh, he's all made me. No, I think I can tell you're on.

I think you're on this guy. Yeah, he could go. I've got him in the third, but I wouldn't be

surprised if a team says, hey, I'm taking him in. If you if you haven't seen trading stooks,

played Arizona, please, by the mayor, that give me one. All right. Let's go with who do I want

to start with here? Okay. Let's let's stick with the edge. I'm going to go with gay back as the

edge. Oh, okay. I feel like early on. We heard a little bit about him. He was jarring some buzz.

But since then, there's been others like, I mean, I've certainly been campaigning for Malik,

I Lawrence at a UCF. There's other guys that have stepped up from Melahide at Texas deck. We

talk about our amazing Thomas Oklahoma, Cassius L.A. Now, but gay back is from Illinois 6426 D team

captain, all big 10 led the big 10 and sacks with 11 third in the conference with three force

fumbles. He's got 27 sacks over four years. So a lot of good production and Brian, one thing

that I noted, all state wrestler in high school. There you go. And we love our wrestlers. We do

especially when it comes to line of scrimmage players, offense and defensive line. And you see

the wrestling background where you want to play. He can stand up as an outside linebacker. He'll

also get that three point stance and the ground defense events speed to power type guy with a

non stop motor. He doesn't quit. But what I really love about gay back is and you can tell

the amount of respect opposing coordinators have for him. They will not allow him direct their day.

They are putting two three bodies on him at all times. They're not going to let him be the

reason that they lose. They have to constantly. Ohio State was one that was really learning to me.

Like Ohio State, they are focusing in. We know you noticed. Yeah, you can see him drop off into

coverage in zone. He's got bend to his game. Not the most elite elusive Russia. I think he can

add some more elements to it, but the play strengths there. I really love him. And I think at the

next level with the violence that he's gotten his hands, he creates net and creates natural leverage.

That's a player that if you're not able to get in the first round, maybe you swing and miss

second, third round guy day two, gay back is if you're able to get him out of Illinois,

I think you're really, really getting a hidden gem. Yeah, this guy plays with a lot of natural

power to his game is what he does. And I think he does a really good job of stacking those blockers

at the point of attack, the leverage, the wrestling background is very, very clear with the way he

plays with the leverage. He plays this game full tilt. He really, really does. High effort, high motor

player is always battling to make plays. The flex to rush with the hand down to be able to stand

up. I think some people are going to like that about him. The burst, he can get blockers some

problems with his speed, the power, the way that he does those types of things. He's not going to

get moved off the line. He does a really good job of holding the point of attack as a run defender

as well. So I really like what you did. The play strength, the quickness, the explosiveness,

the power, all those things. He had a bull rush. I remember watching the Ohio State game. He had a

bull rush where he just took the tackle and just walked him completely back and then put the

guy on his back and then went to the football going forward. So Gabe Yacke, there's a lot of

these edges in this draft. A lot of edges. And I have a feeling this guy, it's a shame. This guy's

kind of got lost a little bit. I know you talked about some people talked about him earlier,

but man, the more that we've kind of dug in to some of these guys, you've got to kind of go

back and think, well, wait a minute. Now, where's Gabe Yacke? Where does he fit in this? Zach,

where did you have him? I've got him in the third. Yeah, I do too. He's that type of player,

but you know what? Maybe someone will take him because of the things. Something might do need

to point out though about this player. He had, he led the big 10 and sacks this year. He had

six and a half sacks in four games. But the six and a half sacks came against Rutgers,

Maryland, Wisconsin, and Northwestern. So you got to think, okay, what about the Ohio State?

It's even I told you he ran over a guy to get there. Washington, where was the sacks there?

So listen, you're going to watch some games. You're going to see some games. You're going to

probably have to search a little bit if you want to see the sacks. But like I say, six and a half

of them came in his last four games that they played. Rutgers, Maryland, Wisconsin, and Northwestern.

Isn't it fun to be all like when you start studying in these players? And like we're talking about

this gentleman, like he's, you know, not getting enough love, right? He led the big 10 and sacks.

I know. That's insane. Is it crazy when you start getting into the stats of some of these players?

I'm always surprised when I'm going through and you see a guy that we have in like the fourth

or fifth round and you're like, oh, yeah, I mean, he's insane to see some of these stats and just

how in the like thick of things, they matter. Yeah. And then they end up like the production

matters, but it's not the full story at the end of it. Yeah. It's, to me, I mean, there's,

there's getting Kaden Curry. There's the same Ohio State kind of the same. Like here's

the guys that have these sack numbers. Right. Kaden Curry's got, you know, high, high production

in the big 10. But why are we not talking about him more? Why are we not, you know, why are we

not diving in? And maybe a little bit has to do with like, you know, it's scouting us weird in

that way that you're like, well, I like this guy that only has two and a half sacks. Well, why

don't you like the guy that's got 10 sacks or 12 sacks? Why don't you like that guy? But I do,

it's kind of, it's scouting us strange that way that we fall in love with players. Maybe it's

we're looking at the traits, the measurables and things like that. Maybe a guy like a Gabiakis,

you should just be looking at the type of player he is. Right. Good, really good player. I should,

here's your next one. My next player is going to be, I hope I say this right, is it my kill or

Michael? Is it Michael? Camara? My kill? Camara? You might be right. I think it's my kill. Camara,

edge out of Indiana. He is a James Madison transfer. Yep. A very productive at both programs why

he was there. 61262. This gentleman, you know, the way it is decent, but like the arms and stuff

aren't like where you, that's the first thing I noticed is kind of how stocky he looks. Very much,

yeah, he is. You know what I'm saying? He's kind of very like put together, but he's very powerful

and he plays with really good pad level as well. I think that is something that helps him win

despite the fact that he's kind of a toy soldier put together person like this, like tight.

He's kind of tight in his mind. Tightly wound. Yeah, I think so. I think so, but it's compact.

Yes, but yeah, he's compact. That's what I'm trying to say, but that's the thing. 23 career

sex over the course of his career. And this dude does have a couple of patch rush moves.

You see him hit the cross chop. You see him have the swipe and the rip through. He can do speed

to power also to because of the size and because of the leverage. I think that he can win inside

and counter as well. High motor. I wanted, like I said, the biggest thing that I think hurts him

is the fact that his arms aren't long enough. So you'll see him. You'll see him stack. Yeah.

You'll see him attempt to shed and guys are just like out of fingertips leap like for him to

get to. I think he is going to have to learn how to navigate that. Traditionally, I think he's a

four three edge, not a three four just because of the size and you know, I'm not being super

bendy, but I do think that as he grows to hold the edge and get better containing, he's going

to be good. And the past rush ability is there. I don't think he's getting talked about enough

just because there's a million edges in this class. He's kind of small and the guys that are

even the even the best guys that are kind of small are getting talked about up at the top. So

he's also a guy with the special teams value. Yeah, I think he had the block punt that helped

Indiana win the when the national championship against Miami. And that's a huge part of his

game that I think is going to get him talked about a little bit more is that he's an immediate

to me, special teams addition, but the burst off to snap the hand activity. I think he has a lot

of room to grow and he seems like a player that can help you. Like you said, help you immediately

on special teams at the very least. Thank you guys. Something on him. One 50 starts. Yeah,

a lot of football played a ton of football and you saw the transition from the small schools. He

moved with Kurt Signetti to Indiana and it was not too big for him. He continued to be a productive

football player. So yeah, I think he's probably a day three player, but he's a guy you talk about the

work ethic leadership ability that I've read and heard about from Indiana. Like that's the kind of

guy that you just want your locker room and he will absolutely contribute as a special teams guy

and work his way towards starting later on in his rookie contract. Yeah, this guy I don't

believe was invited to the combine. So yeah, the measuals that we were working off of was 61262.

That's as close as that. Yeah, that's the style. Okay, that's the most consistent I could find.

Yeah, I mean, this one is, you write about the ideal length and when you start, I mean,

there's a lot of guys that don't have ideal length in this draft of it, but this guy's also got

a little bit of a history of some shoulder problems that need to be checked out. It kind of has

a pop-in pop-out of thing and that was 2001 or about 2000 when 2021 is when so, but things have

been kind of taken care of since there, but you will see this guy play on multiple spots along the

defensive line. I love the way he plays the run. I think he shows the leverage to get under blockers.

I think he could split double teams when the way he plays. I think he can win with a quick move.

This guy's first step is the burst is impressive and so, but what happens is,

those are times where he will be a little late off the ball and I think that gets him in trouble,

but when he's coming off the football, this guy right here can do some really good things.

You'll, there's some time so you'll see him lose the ball as a player and I, you know,

but it's not one of those things that happens all the time. I mean, you'll see guys that

ball goes right by and ball goes right by him and you're like, oh, boy, this is a, this is a trend

that's happening right here, but this guy, there's a couple of times where I just did see him like,

okay, he was fighting and then he lost the ball. Yeah, I think it's because I also too,

like it's a gift and a curse that he can get some natural leverage because he is shorter.

Yeah, but I do think it impacts his, like you were just saying, his vision or him fighting through

the rep, him finding the ball at times as well because he's kind of those taller tackles and

get their hands on him and he's kind of trying to navigate it like that. I know what you're saying.

I did see that a couple. Yeah, no, but he's, this is one of those guys too that you can actually see

him drop in coverage. If you watch the Miami game, it's something he did. They just did it as a,

you know, like a fire zone where they bring a blitz and then he drops back. So yeah, but it's,

it's something I just kind of keep him going as, as a rusher if it was me. Okay, Sack, you got one?

Yeah, I'm going to go with a wide receiver. I'm going to give some small school of love here.

Let's go with Ted Hurst. Okay. The wide receiver from Georgia state. He's 64206. I need to update that

from what he, uh, the, the combine numbers, but you look at him and he's one of these players who

is an all-sundelt first team. First ever Georgia state player to be named to the freaks list on

Bruce Relevans freaks list on the athletic. He transferred from Faldosta state where he played his

first two seasons set Georgia state school records in his first season with nine touchdowns.

This guy finds the end zone. He led the team with over a thousand yards, 71 catches,

six TDs is a senior. I love the footwork. I think he's got a variety of release moves at the line

of scrimmage that are going to give corners trouble. Attacks the football in the air. He's a guy

that's going to find it. He's going to high point it. We'll come back to it and he is a long strider

with nice acceleration. You'll see him start to pull away from defense. He's very physical after

the catch. He's tall, but he does look skinny. He's a guy that might want to put on some weight

once he gets into an NFL system, but you can see him adjust to back shoulder, plays with a swagger

about him. I like that. Like he's got a chippiness to him. He'll talk. He'll start chirping out there.

He reminds me a little bit. I know we talked about Chris Bell like this, but just he's got some

Des Bryant qualities with the way that he plays the game. He's really good in the red zone.

Just throw it up to him. Let him go get it. That's something that that's the trait with Des. Like

I thought when Des was playing, he was the best in the game at going up and getting the football.

Cowboys might have a similar player like that now in George Pickens. I think Ted Hurst has that

to him. Just played at a small school. We talked about you see him walk on water. That's probably

why he's going to be a day three guy. They didn't have him really have a wide route tree. They played

him with a limited route tree there. But I think that he's got the capability to really grow.

But I love him. I think he's a freak. I didn't see him run blocking enough to really get a good

assessment of how good he is in that arsenal of his game. But physically, to me, and the

play temperament he has, he should be willing to be able to do that. But there's so many traits

in a day three receiver. I really liked Ted Hurst. And he's one of these guys that does have that old

school prototype X-ray. I was about to say that we're not, you know, some of these guys don't have

anymore. I was about to say like, yeah, I remember putting in my notes that he was one of the only true

X's I thought. And I think you see that. And even how he runs the hitch. Yeah.

Is that this is an X. I can't explain it. You know, like a real X runs the hitch just the way they

sit in their hips, the way they hit their feet, the way they know how to, he has a feel for that.

And you see it in the route distribution as well. Like you talked about them not using him as much.

I mean, 25% of the balls that were thrown in him were go. Yeah, you know,

yeah, it's just straight up and down. And I think I like his ability to track the ball and him

being an X and stuff. But I do agree with you. I think he has more to his game to add. Are you worried

about it all just because of the physical profile? If you were to do more things with him inside

because I think he could do some big slot things. Yeah. But are you worried about the physical profile

and him taking on contact a little bit, a little bit. And the fact that he hasn't done it.

I don't know that it's a question. I think he could. Like if you want to put him because he's not

one of these guys. It's been used in motion and it's kind of like they haven't played in one stagnant

spot. So that's something where if you do, I think he's got the capability and I do think physically

he can do it. But I think he is really a true outside X type of receiver. I don't know how much

you would want to move him inside. This is good. This world is getting weird because I mean,

that's what we grew. That's what I grew up watching. Yeah. The X receiver. He's like that.

The guy. And now it's like as we talk about them, like even like a Denzel Boston,

who is not like a like a true true X, but it's like they don't get as much love to me. Yeah.

Then these shifty guys that move inside out. That's what it's saying. That's what we,

it's funny because Zach and I got in a discussion yesterday on our radio show about Branch.

You know, and Zach or I branch. Zach or I branch. And we were talking about

these explosive players and like everybody kind of is talking about it's, it's like get the ball

in this guy's hands and let him go. It's like. Yeah. It's central. Yeah. It's all that's

and working with Vodge. That's all Vodge talks about. He talks about route running.

But it's run after catch. I mean, he is like huge on run after catch. And when we all get

together and get our top 100, I guarantee you're going to hear him say like four or five times.

Oh, this guy's great route runner. He's great route runner. This guy's great. We run after catch.

Great route runner. Run after catch. That right. The rack. So about that. I like what you said

about Ted Hirst. I am up. I'll tell you what though. For a big guy, this guy has some elusiveness.

I mean, that's why I said I think he can do some big slot stuff where you see it. It's skinny.

Like, like, how can I we see Pickens do where he can get skinny and kind of slip through tackle.

He can sink. This guy can sink. I mean, you watch him at 64. You can see him sink. And there's

a little bit of some quick foot in this to the way that he plays. They always talk about 50,

50 balls. I think his ability to turn it. I think he turns them into 60, 40 balls for him.

Yeah. You know, but you could watch him. You could watch him, like, low throws, like the quarter

back there at George State, those ball. And you're damn near on the ground. It digs it out.

And he digs it out. Yeah. He's that type of player. I mean, he could take inaccurate throws

and catch them and get some good out of that. Being the height, the weight, the arm length.

I mean, he's got the, where's the zone, the way he plays in zones. I mean, he can. He finds

little pockets where he could get into and they get him the football right there. He's always

aware of the first round marker where that is. I mean, he is a catch it and get a first down type

of receiver right there. He's very reliable. Chain mover and press the way he gets the, uh,

the way he gets the ball because he'll extend his hands to catch it. So he's not going to let the

ball, you know, get on top of him at all. He's going to, he's going to do a good job of extending

on that. All right. Should you got another one for me? I have, yes. I have one more human.

All right. One more human. One more human force. And then we'll get to the aliens. Yeah. Oh, no.

Okay. Oh, yeah. Well, stick with human beings. It's class five. All right. Um, Caleb,

alarms or, uh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. TCU linebacker, um, six, two, did we get, we got officials

on him too because I had them in between two thirty to thirty five because like he keeps, he fluctuated

a lot from there. Um, obviously, he was invited to the senior bowl, um, at the shrine bowls,

well, and the combo. He's been a busy dude, busy dude. Um, I, so I, my eyes got on him when we

were doing the comps. Yep. And my comp to him, like, if you were going to how, you know, we said,

I think for Avril Reese, I think it was, uh, Jason Barham. For him, I said it was Sony styles.

Like it is a, this is not the same player. This is not the same talent. However, as you watch them

play, as you watch him play through contact, as you watch him scrape, as you, as you see him finish

tackles, be decisive playing the run, tackling machine does not struggle like this is, this is,

that's kind of is what Sony styles is just always coming forward, always playing the coverage

consistency as well as something that I think is can really grow with this player. I think his past

defense is about average. It's not nowhere near where like a Sony style is, but I do think he can

get better at working in space. He gets it though. I see him reading it. I see him. You can't be

this effective in the run and not know what you're seeing. Yeah. And not be a smart dude. I love

how he plays through contact. He is not afraid to get in there and get dirty and to get his hands off,

I'll get his hands on guys. And I just like the consistency in the his ability to play the linebacker

position. Sometimes it's not flashy. Yeah. Sometimes it's not pretty. Sometimes it's just literally

just coming down. He'll every play is going to make him the play. And he is explosive. He just

twitchy. This guy is very twitchy. And it's crazy because I feel like a lot of people would say

that he's not athletic. And I'm like, well, is there, do you see, is there a difference between

twitchy and athletic because I see a twitchy guy? Are do you see an athletic guy though? Does that

make sense? I put down, I saw like some overshown in his game. That's fun. It doesn't just

everywhere. Right. Just wanting to be this guy's like a good blitzer though. Yeah. And he

helped. I mean, that USC bowl game, he would have all over the place in that Las Vegas bowl,

even one defensive MVP. Brian and I, we actually talked about him last Friday. Yeah. But when you were

out. Yes. And one of the things that I highlighted is I every game that I watched him play, he got

better. You can see the diagnosing and the processing. I don't think was really strong.

But it seemed to slow down and improve for him as the season went along. And to me, I think

that's a great sign moving forward. I think he's really kind of getting the position.

I think he has value as well because I did see him in some of those, again, we're talking about

the short to intermediate, not even intermediate, but just the short part of the field, the flats.

I think he can do some short zone coverage stuff. It's not like beautiful, but he has the awareness

like you were talking about. I think he has the awareness to be able to handle it. And obviously,

that's something I think a lot of teams are looking for from the linebacker position at this point.

But I like him. And I'm not sure if he, he wouldn't be a guy that Dallas is going to get an extra

look at. I mean, they got a little extra look at him at the Shrine Bowl because the coaches were

there. Yeah. Um, he's not, I don't think he's from here from not mistaken. So I, he just went to

TCU. He's a transfer from California. I think he's, I think he's from the Oakland area. So Dallas

has probably got all the eyes that they will get on him at this point. So yeah, I mean, I like this

player, guys. And I just feel like his up here is good. I think his up here is good with the

switch that he has. If you add them to a program that can help develop him, I think he can be a

difference maker. And like you said, especially the blitz ability as well. Yeah. Sorry. Yeah.

No, I liked him. Sorry. We're good on that one, Zach. What are you looking for? All right,

you want me to give you a corner? Or do you want a guard? Give me the, give me the guard. All

right. Let's, uh, cause I feel like I know you and watch me on back and forth with this one.

And in Vajan, I see eye to eye when it comes to some of these offensive linemen. We like that.

I'm sorry. That's a mistake. I know. We like our people move over. We like our guys that are

just going to, you know, dirt people. Yeah. That's Jalen farmer, the guard out of Kentucky. And I

got to say I'm not overly impressed with the interior offensive linemen in this class. I mean,

every center, I mean, I like Hecht from K state. I think he's the best center. I slaughter. I need

to see more from him. I wanted to like Austin Barber, his tackle. And then you watch him play

Miami and he gets absolutely destroyed. I think there's moments he can be good. But to me, like,

I'll bet on Jalen farmer on day two. If I had to pick a guard, I'm going to take the guy that

one word to describe himself. What did he choose mean? And he is. He's mean. He's a transfer from

Florida played in four games over two years. Didn't play much there. But then 24 starts over

the last two years in Kentucky played a team high 831 snaps this past year, allowing just two

sacks and two pressures. He is a certified people mover. He's massive. He's powerful. He will

drive defenders off the football Georgia game is really good for really impressive. And they've

got some good deal. I know that he keeps his legs moving to kick defenders out of run lanes,

can switch and pass off blocks climbs to the second level adequately for his size. Now there are

times you will see him be a little heavy footed. I will say I mean, six, five, three,

12. He's a big boy. So you will see him. Maybe it's lunging a little bit. Maybe he's moving a

little quicker. What's some of those? Yeah. I think his base is good. But some of those quicker guys

can catch up on the inside. Yeah. And sometimes he's just not quite quick enough out of his stance.

But he is always looking for someone to put hands on and he will be able to pull around right

tackle. I love the way he finishes blocks. He plays with nasty intention. He dominates

in the run game. He does have average lateral movement. All right. It's a knock that I think

Tyler Booker got a year ago. But I think that as a run blocker, he's tremendous. He does need

to work on his past protection footwork. All right. That's the area of his game. I think he

really needs to improve. But he probably has the nastiest play temperament of any offensive

lineman, not named Francis Malonella in this class. And I love the way he plays. That is fair.

And my favorite part about him and I think you mentioned both things is the temperament is

I want to run through your face. Yeah. I'm going to move you out the way. But to your point,

the lack of mistakes. Like the refinement. Like I think he's I think technically he has refinement.

But just he plays under control. Yeah. And to be able to play under control and still be a punishing

type of offensive player or defensive player, just a trench player, I think is important. So I

think he's heady. He's going to be okay. Yeah. To me, you're right, Zach. Me and Vodch were kind of

I didn't think the athletic ability was really, really good for this guy. I thought he was kind

of limited to what he could do. But he is a hard guy to move. I mean, you cannot move him when

you're starting to talk about trying to run over. If you're not going to knock him back,

you're not going to go over the top of him. You're not going to do those things. He's going to hold

his ground without any issues at all. The solo blocks, I think are really, really good. He can

also with those ones with double team, he's going to get a lot of push, a lot of movement like that.

I just thought the biggest thing that he struggled with was he gets over the tops of his feet when

he gets in space. And you see him on the ground at times. And that's one of those pet peeves in

the mind. If you get an offensive line on the ground, and it happens, guys get tripped, guys

get knocked down. They're off balance. Those things happen. But if you're on the ground and you're

kind of stumbling around when you're in space, yeah, the little phone booth stuff where he can

move and do those things, I think that's just fine. But if you're trying to do a lot of athletic

things with him, he's probably not going to be your guy that you want to go with, right?

So what type of scheme do you think that he fits best in power? Power gap. Yeah. Like if he could

like he could come off the ball and just take a step and then go. Yep. If you're asking him,

you know, for a while, they're, remember all the buzz last year, a couple of when we've been

shouting that, Oh, pin and pull, pin and pull. We kept saying pin and pull. And Dallas figured

out they didn't have pin and pull guys. You know, Dallas and they're like, Oh, well, we just got

to play a little bit more gap combo blocks and stuff. I thought that limited limited them a lot

last year, especially with Clay. I think Clayton wanted to do more mobile stuff with a bunch of

injuries. Yeah. And I think that he did. We worried probably that the person I was able to do it.

Yeah. As you guys talked about this, and I know we're about to wrap, as you guys talk about,

you know, that gentleman being more suited for the interior offensive line, I wanted to ask you,

I don't know if you talked about it. How are you feeling about War Cooper BB is right now?

See, I, I still think Cooper BB is going to be at his best if he could kick back out to

left guard. I really do. And I think he's been good at center. I think he's been an upgrade

personally. I think you see where Tyler Biot is struggled against power. I think Cooper BB,

that is three, that trio inside when they are together and they are playing really complimentary

with those combo blocks, you see the power. I mean, that's a strength for that line with Smith,

BB in Booker. But in a perfect world, I do think if you could find a center that you're comfortable

with. And this is where if you wanted to, if you wanted to actually move Tyler Smith to left

tackle, and I trust Duke many weather, man, I do. If he's going to say, I don't want to do that,

you're losing some super power ability. And I think you saw some of the struggles last year

with why maybe that's not the best idea for Tyler. But I do think at the end of the day,

Cooper BB's best spot is guard. But I think he's been fine as a center. I really do. I just don't

know that he's ever going to be an all pro level player, which I think he had that potential as a guard.

As a center, maybe he can be a pro baller, but I think he's just going to be a really good type of

player. This is interesting, just because we talk about this coaching staff and we talk about,

I mean, and also, you just lost Brock Hoffman who's been around for a good amount of time,

played a good amount of time last year. And BB's absence to the Steelers is center somewhere that,

you know, you guys feel like Dallas might consider in this draft or, you know, building this

offensive line because you need a little bit more. I know they have free agents, but I just wondered,

you know, talking about those guys. I kind of wonder too about that if you were,

if the right guard or center were to come along and, you know, and would you consider that

and then the move and then because you're not, he's not, you're not, I know what you're saying.

We watched it. We watched it. I think it's more about the left tackle than it is anything

about potentially wanting to move. We'll move BB. I think it's what, if you wanted to move BB,

I think it's more about the left tackle because it's gotten heightened. So it's like, what is,

what is Smith? Move Smith, the left tackle. Tracking. Because I think he'd still be a really good

left tackle. Yeah, he's a great left guard. Yeah, it's I'm saying though, I would, if you're,

and then that way you can move BB if you wanted to. But who's going to be your center? Well,

that's I'm saying you're, you're looking at and then you got to look at ahead. That's what say,

if you're going to look at a guard or center, you know, then you're going to have to, you're going to

have to move. You would have to move. Yeah. I think, I don't think they want to particularly move

three guys. So are we waiting? So, so that's I guess my question is, so are we going to,

I say that right? Yes, you didn't know. You guys talk like this year. Is this the year where,

because this coaching staffs talk about putting guys in position, stuff like that, we know

that he can dominate at guard, right? Are we, are we going to keep him there after this year?

Is this like one of those waiting seat things or you want them to have a plan for this going?

It's a camp and kind of seeing how things work. You need the best five out of you. You do. You need

the best five. I don't think Tyler Smith wants to play tackle. We know he don't want to play tackle.

I don't think he does. So to me, any, any thought about moving BB because I'm totally happy with

Booker. I'm totally happy with Smith. So, yeah, I think the movie, I wondered a little bit if,

if they've talked with Tyler Booker and Booker played with Caden Proctor at Alabama. Yeah.

And Clayton Adams was just at the Alabama Broday. And there's a lot, I mean, Jeremy Bernard's

guy at a wide receiver that would, I mean, there's several other, I mean, Tyson's obviously,

but Caden Proctor to me is the biggest boomer bust lineman. There are times where he is freaking

awesome. And there are times where I'm like, dude, what the hell? You're so slow off the ball,

somebody in the back before he moved. So he is, do they look at him and say, if he's at 20,

would they kick the tires on a Caden Proctor? And they've got great insight from a dude in their

own building in Tyler Booker. And that's a power type of player. I just wonder, I was looking at,

we haven't really given offensive line a lot of love. No, no, but I do think we, you know, why?

Not even in the early rounds. I think we should see them attack it. When you guys have the show,

you guys can do the show for the offensive lineman because I'm going to be absolutely no help.

Oh my god. It's because they all bad. I do. No, I do. I just don't have a good

feel for these guys. I don't like in years past, I can roll off. I have, I have a really good

feeling for the, for the Miami kid, but every, but me, my Arizona state kid, I'm cool with,

but he had, he started playing football in 2021. And he's damn good, but I'm just saying

this offensive line group, if you compare them to groups in the past, it's not comparable.

It's not. I've just watching people. I'm watching two offensive linemen. We were talking about,

we were talking about guys, you know, going in spots and stuff like that. And I'm like,

or, or, or ended up in certain, certain spots and like, feeling from Georgia. Yeah, did,

did he stress you? He stresses me out when I watch him play. And it, it stresses me because,

I think he's a good player. I don't think he's the sixth, I don't think he should, I don't think

he should be drafted six in this, in this draft. I just don't. I think he's a good, I saw him,

the first time I ever saw it was Dame Breuger put out his one of his first mock drafts in

Adam at 25. I'm like, who the hell is this? That was surprised. And then all of a sudden,

now it's like, whoa, wait a minute, we're talking to Cleveland. It, and I like, I really do. I

think Freelings first round, first, okay. No, that, again, like these guys are going to get, like,

even proctor I've gotten in the second. Yeah. You know, that's just the Boomer bus nature.

I've only got two lineman period in the first round. And it's Malanoah. And I, I am confident in

Spencer Fano from, see, that's what I'm saying though. I don't know that either now. I'm in on him.

I don't, I don't, I'm not, I'm not completely, I see a really good athlete, but of the, of the

group of the best of. Yeah. I, yeah. Malanoah, I'm going to say this. Let's say this.

When you start to talk about best offensive players, sure. Malanoah love. Yeah. He's

those two guys. Love the runner. Yeah. I think it is. Because not a wide receiver. No.

Not a guard. Well, yeah, because it's, I think the, the gap is so big. Yeah.

That's why I don't want to talk about these lineman. I know we don't have to, I'm just, no, no.

I want to ask you guys about what the hell is going to happen at center? How is, no, here, yeah.

How's that was going to put the best five on the floor? But really, more importantly, I wanted

to ask you the BB. Being the BB guy. Yeah. What you thought of BB? Because we want to optimize

this kid. Yeah. Yeah. To optimize his opportunity and his ability. And if that, if center is not,

where we're seeing his best football, then I'm, I'm hoping that that's why I'm with you.

Because at 92, like, if he's there and you've got his former line coach on staff and I,

I think he's the best center in the draft for me. And I don't love the centers in this class.

I really don't. I mean, I think one, you got a lot of undersized guys. And there's a lot of

inconsistent. I mean, even him, you can poke some holes in his game. You see a perfect prospect.

No. But you know what you're getting in him. You know, and he's a guy that's smart.

He's got a good football IQ. I think he can pick up what defense is you're trying to do and

make sure the offensive lines where they need to be and the past protection set up. So I used

the bigger of the guys because I like Connor Lou from Auburn. But he's all like 305 pound guys.

I mean, even Brockermyre, who's looking for Miami's small guy. Yeah. Could you figure out?

Okay. So I know Tyler Smith does not want to play lift up. He does not. However, could you figure

out how to have which guard would you have played right guard if you had to choose between a

booker and a baby? I'd leave booker right and I'd play BB left. So you think, but still,

you think that BB could do that? Yeah. That's what he did at K state. Yeah. Okay. So he can

transition back there. Yeah. And then you get another center. I'm saying, I'm not, I'm just,

let's see what happens because if you're going to put the best five out there, then it might look

different. And it might be them doing something like figuring out all these offensive linemen.

I'm sorry. I don't mean to be like give up guy, but I'm give up guy right now. No, not the gift.

I am. I am. I'm giving up because I'm it's not that I'm looking for something cut and dry.

But I've seen such good play guys in the draft. You spoil. Yeah. And all of a sudden,

you're talking about you're talking about a guy that have a third round grade. Are they going

in the sixth round or going six overall? It's somewhat. You think I have that right? Probably not.

The other classes have spoiled us. We have been spoiled at tackle and stuff. Tyler guy was like

the sixth or seventh tackle. And he went in the first round. Hell, Tyler guy might be in this class.

Second best tackle in this class. Yeah. I mean, that's what Trevor Gooseby from Texas. If he had

to come out, that dude probably would have been a top 10. I wasn't trying to be messy. I just

wanted to ask y'all. No. Yes, you are. You're messy. I'm not talking about offensive line.

And I'm just like, no, we're not. You're right. You're right. We're right. Because you know what?

I'm afraid I'm afraid I'm going to steer everybody wrong with my offensive line opinion.

Okay, then we're just going to stay away from that. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

Might as well do it with. No, no, no, we're going to keep talking about the offensive line.

By the way, you guys need to start getting on them quarterbacks. Okay, because I'm going to tell you

what I've been saying. He's not as bad as it seems. No, it's I'm going to tell you, get on them

quarterbacks. Because what happens is you know where media scouts make their living,

identifying the right quarterbacks. Okay, they don't care about your talk about your offensive

tackles. They care about your quarterback opinions. Dusty. So get on it. Dusty. All right.

Give me a Haynes King, Georgia Tech. Yeah, tough guy. All right, that'll do it.
