WHAT ON EARTH IS CHINA UP TO??

0:00What on earth is China up to in these last days? We're going to talk about that today as well as Clown World and Question of the Day and News and Comments of the Day and etc. My name is Tom and you're watching The Watching River Channel. I'm really glad you're here. I hope you're well. Today is Saturday, September 5th, 2026. And before we get to everything we got to cover today, I want to go to the Word of God. I'm in God's promises for your every need, little book that contains Scripture. And I think it's really important we start off with Scripture before we get to all the crazy things going on in the world. I'm on page 26. Jesus is your fellowship. Let's do a few of these. First John, chapter 1, verse 3. That which we have seen and heard, we declare to you that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ. So go to 1 Corinthians, chapter 1, verse 9.

1:00God is faithful by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Revelation 3, 20, I love this verse. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into Him and dine with Him and He with me. Give me an amen. Thank you. Let's go to John 14, verse 23. Jesus answered and said to him, if anyone loves me, he will keep my word and my Father will love him and we will come to him and make our home with him. Let's go to Zachariah 2, verse 10. Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion. For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst, says the Lord. So a few more Matthew 18, verse 20, for where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them. John 14, verse 21, he who has my commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves me and

2:01he who loves me will be loved by my Father and I will love him and manifest myself to him. And one more, Philippians chapter 2, the first two verses. Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord of one mind. Just do one more, Psalm 119, verse 63, I am a companion of all who fear you and of those who keep your precepts. I love the word of God. How are you guys today? I hope you guys are doing well. We are living in the last days. If you haven't noticed, the world is getting a little crazy and I am wondering today, what is China up to? Now I kind of have some inkling of what they're up to and I think Jesus was right when he said in the last days there would be wars and rumors of wars. But the stuff going on with China right now, and you know, this is a country that we've

3:06known for decades. We would at some point have to deal with certain aspects of China and I think, or there although I just think with Bible prophecy, I'm looking for Jesus day by day right now. So I don't know how much of China's plans will come to fruition or what they're up to. I happen to believe and I've told you this before. I happen to believe that quite possibly Russia and China collectively attack the United States at some point, probably the point of the rapture. I am not dogmatic on that, but that's how I see it. And when I read the following things that I'm going to read to you, I think we are in perilous times. Don't let this scare you because if you belong to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, you do not fear. He's got it all in control. He's not rattled. Jesus knows what's up. I'm going to start off here. The Chinese dragon lurks beneath the Pacific. Few in the West have noticed that China just test launched an intercontinental ballistic missile from a nuclear-powered submarine using the waters of the South Pacific as their

4:10testing site. The Chinese were quick to announce that the missile carried a dummy warhead, but the implications were clear for everyone who appreciates the enormous strategic threat implied from this underwater weapons test. The timing was also instructive, naval authorities reported that the Chinese had not conducted a similar test in decades. Hmm, that was interesting. Press reports say the test came on the same day China and Russia were holding joint naval exercises off the Chinese coast. A coincidence? Not likely. The message from China is clear. They have the means to sail nuclear-powered submarines anywhere in the Pacific, armed with nuclear-tipped intercontinental ballistic missiles that are easily capable of reaching American cities or any nation around the Pacific Rim. The threat greatly complicates the US Navy's role of finding and destroying those submarines in the event of conflict, for there is nothing more threatening than a deeply submerged

5:14submarine capable of wiping out entire cities in just 20 minutes after the launch of its missiles. President Trump fully appreciates the threat. In response to this Chinese test, the US State Department issued the following, quote, at a time when the United States is working harder than ever to prevent nuclear proliferation, China is doing the opposite. Beijing's rapid and opaque nuclear weapons build-up is of great concern to the region and to the world. We continue to urge China to engage in meaningful arms control discussions and commit to a regularized notification arrangement for all intercontinental range ballistic missile and lab launches consistent with commitments made by all other P-Fide members, which is permanent members of the UN Security Council, end of quote. And so there would be doubt as to the President's resolve, the State Department reminded the United States remains steadfast in our defense commitments to our allies and partners.

6:19We need to pay attention to the revolution taking place in conventional warfare, now that drones and AI are creating havoc in Ukraine and the Middle East. But we also need to appreciate the strategic weapons. China is deliberately testing as an ominous reminder of their intent to dominate the rest of the country one way or another. I'm sorry, the rest of this century one way or another. So there you go. You know, that's one aspect of what they're looking at right now. Here's another one that was very interesting. I saw this in the Washington Times. China is working on weather modification weapons. The Chinese military is developing weather modification weapons based on civilian meteorological controls for future use on the battlefield according to a think tank report. Beijing for decades has been developing infrastructure to control local weather and the people's liberation army is now discussing the weaponization of civilian capabilities, the report by the

7:22CCP bio threats initiative states raising concerns that China's massive weather modification program could have military applications, including manipulating atmospheric conditions to gain an advantage during conflict. This is all troubling stuff if you're troubled by it, but you know what? I think it's showing us the nearness of this coming because when I look at not just this, not just wars and rumors of wars. When I look at AI and I look at the earthquakes rising in this world and I look at all the signs Jesus told us to look for, we kind of see we're heading toward the seven year tribulation. When's that going to begin? I don't know, but I'm telling you I'm looking up each day waiting for Jesus. Then we got this from N Times headlines. The AI race is now entering dangerous territory according to a report from futurism, a former Obama administration national security official is calling for the United States to begin considering

8:26extreme measures. Listen to this, including cyber attacks and even military strikes against Chinese data centers if China appears poised to achieve artificial general intelligence before America. Let that sink in. We are now discussing the possibility of two nuclear armed superpowers potentially entering military conflict over artificial intelligence. Didn't they tell us a couple of years ago, whoever wins the AI race rules the world. They don't realize who does in fact rule the world and it's not them. It's Jesus. But we're living in very nefarious times in these last days. I just, what is China up to? I don't know, but it doesn't look like moonbeams and lollipops if you ask me. This is what the last days look like. We always wondered this is what they look like as we see like hate and lies and deception and wickedness rising up through this entire world.

9:27There is a darkness permeating this world. We're all feeling it, but we always say that the gospel message gets brighter and brighter. If you don't know Jesus, please keep watching this video. You don't have to worry about how dark the world is getting because Jesus is shining brighter and brighter each day and people are believing in that gospel and being saved. All right, let's go on to other news. Breaking. This was, when was the supposed yesterday? President Trump's unvoiced Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner will travel this weekend to Russia and Ukraine for talks on ending the war and they are indeed in Russia as I record this video. Speaking of Sorrow's news shared this yesterday on Telegram, according to Russia, Russia has learned about plans by Germany, the UK and France to establish the production of long range missiles in Ukraine and Moscow is verifying this information that Metri Peskov stated.

10:31Any such facilities will become legitimate targets for Russia. Rumors of war left right up down back front center. In drone strikes, yesterday they struck the Ukrainian security service headquarters in Kiev and I just pray for the people there, please. Putin orders, this was right before I hit record. Putin orders a three day halt to Russian strikes on Kiev for President Trump's envoy visits. So for three days he's not going to, he's going to halt, but please pray. I'm just hoping somehow they can end this conflict. I don't know, we shall see. All right, speaking of end times last day stuff, listen to this. Anyone who's followed Israel news and what's going on there for years or decades, you know, this is quite shocking. This was from Israel 365 News. Knesset Constitution, Law and Justice Committee Chairman Simka Rothman submitted an urgent

11:36letter Wednesday to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and National Security Minister Idemar Ben-Gavir demanding that Jews be permitted to blow the shofar and pray on the Temple Mount during Rosh Hashanah. This year the first day of the holiday falls on Shabbat. Blowing the shofar on Rosh Hashanah is one of the most central and important commandments of the holiday Rothman wrote, the inability to blow the shofar on the Temple Mount on this day, Rosh Hashanah, constitutes a significant infringement on the public's ability to fulfill this commandment at the site most sacred to it. This is something they wouldn't have even considered asking just a couple of years ago. You know, they are getting more and more emboldened. I think it's because the Israeli military has proven that it's pretty powerful right now. And they want to blow the shofar up there. They want to go up there and worship. They have been going up to the Temple Mount and greater numbers at different times when

12:36they used to not be allowed to be up there. And they want their third Temple and they're talking about it all the time. And it's just showing us the nearness of the seven-year tribulation when they are going to get the authority and the permission, people will say, well, why do they need the permission? They need the permission because the world will go crazy. But it's going to happen right after the rapture. They're going to build that Temple and they will be sacrificing. And then the Antichrist, three and a half years into the seven-year tribulation, will go in there and stop the sacrifice. You can say, worship me. You know, and I'm hoping the people will say no thanks. I'll just have water. But some will and some won't. This is from Insider Paper. Iranian media this morning reported several explosions near the country's major oil hub of Carg Island in the Gulf days after renewed fighting broke out with the United States. Far as news agency said the blast were heard by its correspondent, but that there was

13:40no smoke visible while the SNN news agency claimed an Iranian tanker was targeted by the US near the island. There was no immediate comment from the US or Iranian officials. So it might have been a big nothing burger. That sounds good. Maybe pause the video and go get a burger for us. Yeah, that sounds good. It's up to you though. Get what you like for a snack and then come on back. What else? US sanctions, Istanbul based golden global bank for allegedly funneling Iranian oil payments to the IRGC. Wow. So we have sanctioned one of Turkey's banks funneling money to Iranian people. For the oil payments. Yeah, I guess all the room. They're going to do that, I guess. Iran says it used AI-powered missiles and drones in its latest retaliatory strikes on US bases.

14:40And President Trump says the US might strike Iran again soon. I'll tell you one thing. I say it almost every day. It's not peace in the Middle East that's coming right now. We're looking for war and I hate war, but I think the wars are about to ramp up. I'd be watching this next week carefully because it could be this next week. There's a lot of threats right now. Iran wants to spoil the high holidays in Israel. And so they're threatening and we'll see where it goes. President Trump also said there are many alternatives to the straight-of-war moose and several oil pipelines are being built right now. They're saying within a couple of years that there will not even be a need for the straight-of-war moose. They'll be able to pipe everything through. We'll see about that. We'll see about that. I don't see that going on, honestly. But Israel today shared this IDF soldiers completed a special counter-terrorism operation in northern Samaria during which they apprehended five terrorists, terrorists, who were planning

15:45to carry out terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and security forces. That was yesterday afternoon. What else? Then we got this. Three hurricanes, Lowell, Karina and Marie are active across the eastern and central Pacific at the same time. Having three named hurricanes in this relatively concentrated region is unusual and relatively rare, although it isn't unprecedented. Their close proximity makes this an especially notable period of Pacific storm activity. So yeah, I heard about that. Some people are screaming El Nino, super El Nino that it's super El Nino that's causing this. I don't know if that's the case. But I know one thing, super El Nino, to me, tell me if I'm wrong here because I'm probably wrong. But super El Nino sounds like some kind of robotic vacuum cleaner.

16:46Can you picture it? Super El Nino, clean your carpets and seconds flat. Something to that. Just ignore me. What I'm goofy, okay? Just ignore me. Well, it does. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner. Super El Nino. It's like the Gensu knife or something, right? Remember that? You older folks? This is eerie footage. Tell me if you don't think this is eerie. This is just kind of eerie. I think it happened the night before last at the U.S. Capitol caught in the storm. Check it out. It's pretty, I don't know, or something about that. It looks like a movie, doesn't it? But that's what the Capitol looked like the night before last, you know? Earthquakes, the last 24 hours, they went down 45 over 4.0 and only 12 over 5.0. So that was I think half the amount of yesterday for the 5.0's anyway. All right, it is time for question of the day.

17:48Okay. This one, boy, I feel like I know the answer to this for a lot of you, but do you ever feel anxious about the end times or the rapture? Do you feel anxious about it? Now, I'll tell you in all honesty, very, very occasionally. I will get a little anxiety about it, but it's very, very rare for me. I'm so excited for the return of Jesus. But let me know if you do get rapture anxiety. I think a lot of you do and I think a lot of you don't, you know, and there's no right or wrong answer. But that's the question of the day. Okay. Then and this is where I always break down. He just says her name. Mary. And all that agony she felt evaporates when she recognizes the voice of her savior calling her name. I'm not against your channel, but I felt like the rapture was missing an ingredient somewhere. So I just focused on the gospel. I don't feel like it's years away anymore. Every day it seems like it will happen today. In his time, Maranatha, amen, there are many like you, Fred, many people who have come back to this channel and said, all right, now I'll start watching every day. You know, I used to watch you when you first started, but I kind of fell away and didn't want to keep up with all the news. I thought the rapture was farther away, but many more are starting to say, yeah, something's happening right now in this world as we wait for Jesus. Do one more. Nancy, I guess her favorite Jesus said is John 316. She said, the first time I saw years ago on TV at a sporting event as someone held up

22:59the sign with those words and numbers, I had no idea what it meant at that time. But it has stayed with me forever. Praise God for sending his son so that we could all have the gift of eternal life. Yes, it is a gift. Thank you, sister. Do you have the gift of eternal life? If I could right now hand you the gift of living forever and ever, what would you do with that? Would you say, yeah, that I don't really want that. You know, I got to tell you, like it or not, at the moment of conception, you did become an eternal being. You can argue with that. You'll argue forever and ever without end, but you are an eternal being. You are going to be somewhere forever and ever and ever without end. And there's two sides to this coin. Side A of the coin is realizing that Jesus left a throne in heaven to come here to pay for your sins with his blood. And believe in the everlasting gospel that Jesus went to that cross.

24:02All of the sins you ever committed or will ever commit were placed on him. And then he died. He was buried and he rose again the third day. That's the gospel, the good news. Your sins have been paid for by the blood of the lamb, the lamb of God, Jesus. That's why he came here. And it's what are you going to do with that? Are you going to say, I don't really want that. You know, I'm more good than bad. And I feel like if there is a heaven, I don't really even know if I believe there is one. But if there is a heaven, I'm just, I'm sure I'll get slipped in because I'm a pretty good person. It's not the way it's been set up from the foundation of the world. You're not going to earn your way into heaven. The whole Old Testament of the Bible showed people no matter how many laws God could give them. They couldn't keep them. They needed a savior. So the whole Old Testament unfolds to the New Testament where God provides His only begotten Son as the savior of the world. It was a rescue mission. That's why Jesus came here. You know, we know he did incredible miracles and teaching.

25:06You know, we can follow all the amazing, perfect things he did because he was fully God and fully man in the same body walking this world. But he came here, the Lamb of God, slain from the foundation of the world. He came here to die in the cross to rescue us. So when I tell you this, you've got to make that decision. Am I going to reject a blood payment that was made? And I've got to explain this. I almost explain it almost every day, but there has to be a blood payment made because that's how offensive sin is to the most high God. In the Old Testament, they would slaughter the animals. They would sprinkle the blood and the holy of Holies. And their sins would be covered for a year. But Jesus shed God blood. He's the ones for all payment for sin. So Jesus came here and he shed His blood because he wants to spend forever and ever with you in paradise. And I'm telling you, my friend, if you say, well, I don't need that, I don't want that. And you don't have a change of heart or a change of mind before you take your last breath here.

26:06You're going to face Jesus on judgment day. You're going to remember this conversation and you are going to know, I'm in trouble because it's too late now. I no longer have breath on my lungs and a heart beating. And Jesus is going to say, away from me, I never knew you. You're not going to say, that's unfair. You're going to say, no, I remember hearing. I'm a sinner and I need payment for these sins. And I heard about that blood payment that Jesus made. It's the greatest love story ever. And you're going to say, I rejected it. Nobody's going to walk away from Jesus on judgment day saying, you're unfair. They're all going to say, you are a fair and just God. But I tell you the gospel every day because my goodness, I know that wide is the path to destruction. I know that many more people will say, no, then we'll say yes. And that saddens me so greatly. But somebody out there is going to hear this today and say, that sounds like truth to me. And if you're that person, you run to Jesus right now and talk to him. Tell him, I admit I'm a sinner.

27:08I know I'm a sinner and I know I need payment for these sins and I can't do it on my own. I need to believe. I need to have faith in your blood that it was shed to wash me white as snow. And I believe in your finished work on the cross, Jesus. I know you were nailed to the cross. You shed that blood. You died. You were buried and you rose again the third day. I need a savior. And I'm finally ready to say, Jesus, you are the savior of my life. You are my king and my God. And at that moment, you are born again because God will place the Holy Spirit in you. At the moment of belief in the atoning blood of Jesus and in his finished work on the cross, you are born again. You are a new creation in Christ Jesus seated in heavenly places. You will be with him forever and ever. And I got to tell you, our future is so amazing when you have Jesus. You know, and you know what? I'll never be the one who tells you once you believe in the atoning blood of Jesus and in his finished work on the cross, your life is going to be fantastic here on earth. Because it's just not true. When you do that, you take off the enemy. So you get attacks and stuff.

28:09But you know what? I'd rather be attacked by the enemy holding Jesus hand than have the most perfect life on earth without Jesus. That's my choice. I'd rather walk through valleys with Jesus than live the most perfect, trouble-free life without Jesus because this is so temporary. This is temporary what we're sitting in right now. We keep our eyes on the unseen on Jesus, not on the scene because the unseen is forever. It's a tunnel. Okay. All right. That's what I got for you guys. I prayed for every person who would watch this video in my prayer time this morning. And if we're not raptured today, you know me, I think today is a perfectly good day for the rapture, but it's not up to me. But it's up to the most high God. But if not today, God willing, I will see you guys tomorrow. I love you guys.
