I'm interested to see if Howard is going to be the right guard or the right towel. He's played both. He's certainly in the plans and it's the kind of period that always made sense because he has experienced you know because he can play multiple spots. It's the kind of move they had to make and he didn't wait. That was Zach Jackson moments ago on the brand new right tackle slash perhaps right guard for the Browns tight as Howard as they dealt fifth round pick 63 million dollars. We don't have the guarantees or any of that stuff on the deal but money if you can get it.

04Yeah, we were here live local late breaking when that came across and then we talked about that was Zach Jackson as they start the retooling of that offensive line still don't have any news on Joel Betonio, although that's expected in the next week, especially with three agency looming. We should we should this time next week. Hopefully we'll know what Joel Betonio does because the legal tampering period will begin. I believe a week from today. It's coming. So and then the Browns need to know. So they shake their plans. Yeah, you know, well, obviously if affect what they need to do at the outside of free agency here. Meanwhile, 15 minutes. Your chance when a pair tickets to the 2026 mid-American conference tournament men's championship game on Saturday March 14th at Rocket Arena. Your chance to win that. What else did Zach Jackson say about what's next for the Cleveland Browns? I mean, I feel like the next trade has to be for Anthony Richardson. You know, I feel pretty strongly about that. That makes perfect sense with the

06open competition saying he signed from one year. He's got upside. He could compete with should or standards for the starting job in the hope would be obviously that one of them hits and if it doesn't, you're still on track for next year. So when I do my preegent and trade target list and, you know, got to amend it even though I'm not done with it yet because of this morning's trade, I think he's going to be the number one target. Maybe he will want to go somewhere else. I don't really buy into the thought of him going and sitting somewhere because he's only signed for one year. So it makes just a lot of sense for the Browns to go that route and he would get in and have a chance to resurrect his career and compete for the starting job. So that was Zach Jackson. That means Malik Willis out. Anthony Richardson in your first reaction, Darryl Ryder, who's in studio today for Ken Carmen. Can't wait. I really can't wait for should or Sanders be Anthony Richardson if ultimately that's that's how it plays out. Look, it felt like that going into the combine

07there was at least some Browns Malik Willis buzz there. And now it feels like coming out of the combine. Everyone's like, all right, let's get real for a moment. Like let's have a moment of clarity, a moment in reality. Well, yes, the Browns should and will likely pursue Malik Willis in free agency. The odds of them actually getting something done probably not as good as, you know, some of these other teams like Miami, Ozac brought up Minnesota in their situation, Arizona and their deal out there in the desert. Pittsburgh as well, like, you know, and I'm, look, I'm not an Anthony Richardson fan. I don't like what happened in Indianapolis. I have tremendous reservations about it. But I think what Zach said made a lot of sense, right? He's in the final year of his contract. You do not pick up that option on May 1st for the fifth year. You have them play out the rookie contract. And you, you see if something's there. And if it's

09there, you win big. And if it's not there, well, you wasted another year. And when you're talking about the Browns, yeah, what's another year wasting time at quarterback? Well, I think Anthony Richardson, that's huge news. I said a little bit of this on Friday when we were together that, if it's Malik Willis, that's curtains for should or standards in Cleveland, at least at the start of the year. That's not good for him at all. Anthony Richardson, that should be a delight. Door is still open for should or that's huge. That's huge because I can't definitively tell you that Richardson's going to beat him out. No, no. I mean, honestly, now this is where, hey, this is a huge benefit of having the off season and to put any of that to bed immediately. I know still there'll be some should or fans who will be like, wow, why do you should even have to compete? Richardson has been terrible as a starter in the NFL. Funny thing is, Richardson's won games. I mean, two years ago, he was six and five as a starter. So if you're just using wins and losses, which I've heard some should or people say, well, hey, he went three

11and four last year. Right. Right. With a, with a very bad Browns offense, but an elite defense, especially in those one three times as many games as the other two quarterbacks on the roster. That's true. So I look at that as a, I can't say positive things about the Browns. And here, I'm staying something positive about the prospects of should or get a chance to do that because he would have had, you know, Anthony Richardson now, Richardson's got a better arm and a better athlete. But he has not been able to play the position. The, the tools are there. Okay. It like, like Zach said, I get it. I understand it. Then I mean, I have to like it. Uh, you're clearly taking a flyer should or it's got a better feel. What, all right. Let me ask you this. What, what are they? What are you willing to give up for Anthony Richardson? What, what are you giving up the gap? Didn't Zach say just do one of the other fifths. You had three of them. You just got rid of that first pick overall in the fifth round, right, which you would acquired in the Kenny Piggy trade. Right. And I have to look at the other two, but if that's all it is, it's, it's another dart. Much like they threw a dart picking up Kenny

17picket last year. That's all that would be, right? Yeah. I, I, I just feel like they're standing blindfolded in front of the dart board just throwing anything. Hope and they can hit as close as possible to the bullseye. I mean, that's just where you're at right now. Um, and also too, it's not just should, it would not be just should or V Anthony Richardson. I mean, the Sean Watson's in this thing, whether we like it or not as well. I mean, they're, they're going to take a look and see if there's anything left in the tank with the Sean. Uh, so yay. We get another three man quarterback competition. If this all materializes, get your PSLs for Brook Park now. Yeah. Well, I always felt that that was probably going to be the case anyway. There was, there was going to be some semblance of a competition. Again, unless they brought in Malik Willis. I, you know what? I'm just so over Brown's quarterback competitions. I've seen so many of them. None of them have paid off. I'm just, um, oh, that, that's why I'm so uninfused about it, because I'm just sicker quarterback competitions. They never result in anything positive for the

21Browns. Okay. Oh, I'm trying to think and like, it's just it that met like Derek, Derek Anderson, who made the pro bowl through for over 3,000 yards, you know, Braila Edwards was a thousand-yard receiver, Kelolyn's low junior, thousand-yard receiving tight end that year. The, I mean, the offense was just gangbusters and he eventually ended up in a quarterback competition. Like, what Browns quarterback competition has ever borne fruit for this franchise? None. Well, that, that, was it technically a competition that first time with Hoyer in Johnny? Yeah, Hoyer in Johnny. No, that, no, I don't think that. I mean, I had a real one. Yeah, it wasn't, yeah, I mean, Johnny didn't, well, I don't want to get the Johnny issues. I told, I thought we were micro managing every past thrown in training camp that year. Well, we micro manage every past that's thrown in training camp. That's what we do. But then we track it and publish the findings. Not officially. Yeah. Not at that point.

21It doesn't count. That was pre-internet. Internet didn't exist back then. Way back when. Way back in 2014. I, only at the start of the show, Jimmy had, no, Jimmy hired the homeless guy to come in and track it camp. He's on the house, Darryl. Not commenting on that. Oh, and you said, you, you, you bristle that the notion earlier in the show of Kyler Murray. Right. And now they've made a trade and guess what? Still bristling. Okay. But do you like what Zach said about Anthony Richardson? No, not really. Nobody's seen anything really exciting. I heard him is that he's young. He's young and maybe there's a, maybe there's a way to turn around Kyler Murray. He's younger than should or and decided, money school, Fortnite's cooler. And I'm just, I'm not about that. Obviously, Richardson, the one thing. If you Google his name, the one thing that's going to come up more than anything that the internet. Hey, it's the sports junkies. That debated and pounced on was that he took himself out of a game. For Joe

34Flacco, they went to Joe Flacco who was washed up and then was good. You don't want to at least try and move. Never took himself out of a game. His play took himself out of the play. The penalties took a lot of that was the joke. 216 474 0092. When we come back, you've heard Sac Jackson, you've heard Darryl Ryder and the Browns have made a trade. Are you guys ready?
