1:12This is the Tom Hartman program. Members of the January 6th mob, this is kind of the definition of Hutzba. It's bizarre. People who attacked the United States of America, people who attacked our capital building, people who attacked our police officers who sent 141 of them to the hospital, who caused one of them to have a heart attack, who killed three of them, arguably four of them. Those people who carried Confederate flags, the flags of traitors to this country, who attacked a group of people who separated themselves from America and then attacked America, those people are suing the federal government asking for millions and millions of dollars because they were treated badly by the Capitol police.

2:14Not making this up. In fact, they're trying to start a class action lawsuit here. They claim to represent a class of plaintiffs that includes dozens of others present that day on the Capitol's west front, the scene of the most violent confrontations between rioters and police. Among those the lawsuit identifies as eligible to join the class if a federal judge signs off. And this is going to be one of those, do they draw one of the Trump crazy judges? Because there are, I mean, there's a bunch of island cannons out there, alien cannons out there. Judges who just have no regard at all for the law of the Constitution. They just want to do whatever their fascist lord tells them to do. Or are they going to draw a real judge appointed by a Democrat or a Republican, but a real judge, a judge who actually understands the law actually cares about what's going on. Who's got to just laugh this thing on a court, I think.

3:16Dominic Pizzola, a proud boy who ignited the breach of the Capitol itself when he smashed a window with a stolen riot shield. This was the first guy to vandalize the building, the Capitol building, and break in. And Christopher Whirl, a proud boy who unleashed pepper spread, a line of police officers who used a chemical agent to disable police officers. These guys are leading this class action lawsuit to say, we were harmed. We were aggrieved. And why do they think they'll get away with it? Because the government just gave Mike Flynn one and a half million dollars for the pain and suffering he experienced when he was successfully prosecuted for lying to the FBI about his secret meetings with Sergei Kizliak, the Russian ambassador to the United States during the 2016 election and in the first year of the Trump administration. He was a

4:19national security adviser. And he was actually being paid by Turkey as I recall of essentially an unregistered foreign agent and having private secret conversations with the Russians. And he was convicted of it or pled guilty, I don't recall which. And then Trump pardoned him. So now that he's been pardoned, he got one and a half million dollars. You got to actually bab it. The woman who was one of the first to try to climb through the window into the, I don't recall if it was the house or the Senate chamber, one or the other. And was shot by a police officer, a black officer, by the way, as every Republican will tell you over and over again that black man shot that white woman. Oh my god. Who was shot by a police officer and her family just got five million dollars for what? For trying to, for attempted treason against the United States of America. I mean, this is just wild stuff. This is just wild stuff.

5:26January, this is from the article January six defendants are hopeful the administration will look favorably on their claims, particularly as the Justice Department has signaled its willingness to forge settlements with other aggrieved Trump allies. And then they talk about actually bab it like Flynn. Is this going to stand? Keep an eye on this. You know, I keep saying, you know, it's it's like the Bizarro world. I remember when I was a little kid, you know, I like to read the Superman comics. And then they came out with these Bizarro Superman comics, which were took place in another dimension or another world where everything was the opposite. You know, the good guys were the bad guys, the bad guys were the good guys, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. It's like we've stepped through that. It's like, you know, with Alice, we've we've just fallen down through the through the rabbit hole. You've got Trump running around going, you know,

6:31essentially war is peace. And you know, what he has done in Iran, I mean, okay, the murdering over a hundred little schoolgirls. And not literally never even acknowledging it as a mistake, because he never acknowledges mistakes. That was one of the lessons that Roy Cohn taught him when he was young, never admit you're wrong, never ever, even when you know you're wrong, never admit it. And that has now echoed throughout his administration. It's terrible. It's a terrible thing. A terrible way to cover. A terrible way to even be a human being. So we've got that. I mean, you know, we've got this this bizarre situation where the people who attacked us not only got pardoned but are now fixing to get millions and millions of dollars or at least hoping to get millions and millions of dollars wouldn't surprise me if they get up, by the way. And then we've got this jet fuel crisis. This is this is also pretty amazing.

7:39The Fox News reporting. Seriously, this is a report from Fox News written by Amanda Macias. Jet fuel prices in the US have more than doubled in a matter of weeks. Now, here's something I did not know. The fact, let me let me find the exact line here and share it with you. Much of the globe's jet fuel supply moves through the straights of four moves. I didn't know that. I thought that most of the stuff that was coming through the straights of four moves was, you know, just raw crude. But it turns out that they've got some really massive refineries up on the north end of the straight there or north of the straight where they make jet fuel for the Middle East, for Asia, for South America. You know, I'm assuming we were fine our own jet fuel here in the United States, but the result of this is that multiple countries could be running out of jet fuel in a matter of weeks.

8:44The price of jet fuel has gone from $2.17 a gallon, which is where it was the day before Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu attacked Iran. I want to circle back around to that because I think our goals with regard to this war and Israel's goals with regard to this war both initially and long-term are diverging radically and rapidly. Anyhow, jet fuel was $2.17. Now it's $4.57 a gallon, and that's as of the 27th. That's as of three days ago. It's probably up from there. United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby said the carrier is going to cut 5% of their plan flights. He says jet fuel alone is going to add $11 billion in expenses to United Airlines' bottom line this year. Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastain said that the jet fuel spike added as much as $400

9:47million in costs just for the month of March. American Airlines estimates also about $400 million, but as I mentioned, this is going beyond US carriers because so much of this refined jet fuel comes through the Gulf, and it's not getting through right now. Airlines are starting to raise ticket prices, canceling flights. Executives from Lufthansa and Air France slash KLM warned that a prolonged conflict in the Middle East will push Ferris higher G, you think. Cathay Pacific is adding fuel surcharges, SAS, the Scandinavian Airlines, said it's going to cancel a thousand flights next month, the month of April. Quattas and Thai Airways, these are both long haul by and large carriers. They're adjusting Ferris and schedules. Middle East exports, the Middle East exports about 1.1 million barrels a day of refined jet fuel, roughly 15 to 17% of global consumption. And much of that supply moves

10:57through the Straits of Hormones. People are having their vacations that they've already planned, their trips to go stay at a hotel or take a tour or get on a cruise ship or whatever. Visit friends, visit relatives, visit neighbors, go back to old haunts. Their flights are being cancelled. If they try to read book, the price is going to be much, much higher. Is this disrupting your life? I mean, not to mention the fact that you show up at the airport and the line is now three hours, now the lines appear to be getting better because some of the TSA agents have been getting paid or at least got their back pay. And so many of them are coming back to work, but we still have a problem which raises the whole another issue of, you know, is ice going to be a permanent presence in our airports now. I think so. I think this is the normalization of ice, ice being

12:01basically Donald Trump's private SS, his shoot stuff, his protection force, his own private army, and he's using it in a variety of ways. And then just to close that loop that I mentioned a few minutes ago about our and Israel's goals diverging. Israel just said 600,000 people in South Lebanon have to leave their homes permanently and Israel's going to flatten the homes. They're going to Gaza-fi Southern Lebanon. And of course, you've got this settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank going on and the crisis in Gaza. And Israel is now flattening homes in Iran as well. So that's not something that's part of our agenda. None of that has anything to do with our agenda. So Netanyahu has got his own stick going on here and he succeeded through Jared, his, you know,

13:02the old family friend who used to sleep at Jared's house or apartment when he would visit the United States back in the 80s. He got Jared to bring this to Donald and talk Trump into going along with him. And now Trump is like, you know, he doesn't know, he's the dog caught the car bumper, you know, he doesn't, he doesn't know how to like to love it, he doesn't know what to do. What a mess. The next thing is the people who are running this operation have been warned. The five senators and congressmen and women who said don't obey illegal orders were stating a truism. Obviously no one should be breaking the law. The law can be broken by a general as well as by a private as well as by a guy just standing on the corner anywhere in America. No one is above the law. Trump fired everybody from the Joint Chiefs of Staff and all their attendant aides, one-star generals, full colonels, majors and replaced them with people who are breaking the law. The entire Pentagon Joint Chiefs of Staff and their entire staff

16:14need to be court-martialed along with the impeachment and trials of the Trump administration. At this point it's a far-gone conclusion that this is what's going to happen. Those five senators and congresspeople did not waste their breath. They were warning them. They were warning them. I agree. And let us not forget, Paul, that when Nixon left office, 40, as I recall, of his senior officials, including his attorney, General John Mitchell, went to prison, including his White House counsel, John Dean, who's been on this program multiple times telling this story, went to prison. The guy I think Christy Noman's and Pam Bondy need to be thinking about that. Yeah, the guy who did Nixon's personal income tax, who was an Ivy League lawyer, who was his aide, went to jail for tax work. Nixon didn't do any time for any of that stuff, but he signed Paul's tax returns. The guy cheated in every way known to man.

17:15The Trump is going to face the same thing. He's already been impeached. He's already convicted of tax. It's just a matter of time. I agree. The people who put Kennedy into a box are going to put Trump in a box, and they warned them. Yeah, well, hopefully you mean a political box, but I get them. But I've read the pages where this road is going. Leaves a trail of fire, where the weak get drunk. They said those words before and blood and flame. Every time it ends the same, not in the name, not in our name.

18:18But we won't bow down to a holy command. This was built on freedom, not a crown of thought. You don't save a nation by declaring war. From the courts to the drums of a marching line, you can hear that old crusader cry. God wills it echoing through the years dressed up in power dressed up in fear. It's the reason I'm loud and clear, but they don't want to hear not in the name, not in our name, not in our land, not in our land. But we won't bow down to a holy command. This was built on reason, not a burning soul. You don't make it sacred by calling it the Lord.

19:21Welcome back. So Iran has now threatened 18 companies with destruction, and I quote, we advise the employees of these institutions to immediately distance themselves from their workplaces to preserve their lives. These companies should expect the destruction of their respective units in exchange for each act of terror in Iran, starting at 8 p.m. Tehran time on Wednesday, April 1st. The companies are Cisco, HP, Intel, Oracle, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Meta, IBM, Dell, Palantir, NVIDIA, JP Morgan, Tesla, General Electric, Spire Solutions, which is based out of the UAE, G42, another UAE AI company, and Boeing. Whoa. Meanwhile, Donald Trump appears to be panicking. I mean, the Wall Street Journal is reporting this morning that yesterday, Donald Trump was confiding in the people around him that he's willing to let the Straits of Hormuz stay closed.

20:23He just wants to get out of this war. It's killing him politically as his poll numbers. See, at 33%. I mean, they're just, they're mind-boggling, and I'll get to that in more detail in just a second, but he posted this insane, screed this morning on his Nazi-infested, failing social media site. All of those countries that can't get jet fuel because of the straight-o-harmoose, like the United Kingdom, which refused to get involved in the decapitation of Iran, I have a suggestion for you. Number one, buy from the U.S. We have plenty. And number two, build up some delayed courage, go to the straight, and just take it. And he has taken all caps. Yeah, right. We blew up the Straits of Hormuz, right? We blew up the situation in the Middle East. And Trump is saying to the United Kingdom, just go in and take the oil. He goes out and say, you'll have to start learning how to fight for yourself. The U.S.A. won't be there to help you anymore, just like you weren't there for us. Iran has been essentially decimated. The hard part is done. Now, go get your own oil.

21:28Vladimir Putin couldn't have said it better. Well, Vladimir Putin probably dictated it, because everything Trump does is what Putin wants him to do, of course. But here we go. Taco, this is Trump chickening out again, and what happened to the special relationship with the UK? I think he's panicking, and a lot of other people do it too. CNN's Harry Enten says he sees no sign that Trump can turn this around. His polling numbers are so low now. And he says, it's no one of them. He said it's a slew of events that have come together. He says, Trump now has the worst net approval rating among independents of any president ever at this point in the second term. He's worse than Richard Nixon back in 1974 during Watergate. He's worse than George W. Bush at this point in the second term, as Americans were realizing that we had been lied into the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. This is, which led to, of course, Barack Obama being elected and the Democrats taking both the House and the Senate

22:30in the election of 2008. And while we don't have a presidential election coming up in November, I think a similar route is coming. We had, what, 8 million people in the streets, and I think, you know, if the Erica Chenna with threshold is 3.5%, which would be 11 and a half percent or 12 million or 12 million, but I think that probably, you know, a lot of people just had to work or travel or whatever that day. They would have been there if they could. I mean, hang on, Mayday is coming, too. But Trump is in big trouble. You've written some just brilliant stuff recently, and I wanted to bring a couple of months if I may. One is, no kings saw millions in the streets, so where are the pro-Trump rallies? That's a provocative headline. Yeah, I mean, not our Trump last week again at the cabinet meeting, in between being serenaded with a chorus of, you know, how amazing you want to roll that. Again, Tolis, he had the highest poll numbers of any president. He has called himself the most popular and the greatest president ever. Last week, Scott Desson, Secretary Tricia, said, his name's going to be on the $1 bill because this is historic achievements.

24:36So my question, Tom, is if he's this unbelievably popular, where are the pro-Trump protests? Where are the pro-Trump rallies? Why are they not filling the streets? And they're nowhere to be found because he is not popular. He is a loser, but corporate media covers him, all Trump, all the time, like he's popular. And that's sort of the thesis of my article. One, he's, he doesn't get those protests because polling's numbers are awful for the guy, awful, the worst they've been, yet corporate media covers him like he is popular. And I want people to realize we have the power, we outnumber them in the streets, now we're going to overwhelm them in the ballot box. What boggles my mind, Dean, are the dual standards. And I think in some regards, this goes back to the old, work the refs strategy. Rich Bond, when he was head of the GOP back in the, I think it was the first, the Willie Horton era when George Herbert Walker Bush was running for

25:37president. He said, we work the refs, we scream about liberal bias in the media. And so the media goes out of its way to be nice to Republicans. And they went nuts when Obama wore a tan suit, or when he had a coffee cup in his hand as he saluted the, the, the Marine officer as he was getting on the helicopter. I mean, they literally went nuts about this kind of just minor stuff, or when, you know, Michelle Obama had some nutrition thoughts for us. And yet crazy stuff happens in the Trump, I mean, Trump hanging a picture of Putin among the former presidency in the United States. He hung a picture of Putin on the wall of the damn White House. He just, the insider trade, I mean, I don't even know where to begin. But it's like the media, all treats it like it's just normal stuff. Well, I think things have changed, I mean, there was a time working the refs when the corporate media was a little bit more independent. Now it's no longer independent.

26:39Independent media is truly the independent media were not tied to corporate media. Corporate media, there's that, that whole bucket of people don't want to lose access. They want challenged Trump or talk about the bad poll numbers. And the others are owned by the pro-Chump oligarchs. Increasing, I mean, we look at the elephants about closing in now on CNN. CBS News is like Fox on network. That's all it is right now. So this is, we're seeing more and more of that consolidation. Thankfully, we see the rise of independent media at this very time. But I think it's a common, it's no longer working the refs. They own the refs. They own the game. Tom, I mean, we've got the fact that we win elections is really a miracle. And that's because people see through all the BS that they're selling. People see a bad things are today, you know, gas prices over $4 for the first time in about four or five years. And oil is about to break records of any record except for inflation adjusted off the charts. We're going to see where this goes. Yeah, yeah. What's your sense of how this is going to play out? I know you're, you know, being

27:43Palestinian ancestry, you're a little more well connected to that region than I am. I'm curious your thoughts on how Trump gets out of this and how this whole thing plays out. Well, you know, Tom, I summer in the straight of our moves every year. So I'm very well. No, I've never. I know you're joking. Yeah. Right. So the, how this is going to work out? No one knows because Trump doesn't know. There was no plan. Trump point line said one week in. This is going to be like Venezuela. He literally said it's going to be like then as well. It's going to be that easy. That was plan ABC and D. And we're going to be done with this in a week. There was no plan tactical. Yeah, we can blow up anything. We're amazing. Strategic zero plans, no exit plan, no endgame, nothing. How does it end? I think Donald Trump declared victory and just stops bombing and goes home. And, you know, reports in the Wall Street Journal today that he's going to not even care if the straight of our moves is open anymore, which is just a worse scenario. You start a war when the straight is open and you're going to leave it and pull out and surrender when the

28:45straight is now closed. Well, no, no, who's not going to stop? No, no, he's like he's, he's leveling Southern Beirut. He's, you know, Southern Lebanon. He's, he's leveling parts of Iran. I mean, I, he's not going to stop. Well, we could stop him anytime we want. We don't want to. He would, when others replying, giving them the ammunition and the intelligence they need, they can't do it. So we want them. I mean, at this point, on a Netanyahu, Israel is America's biggest military base. It's like our aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean. That's all it is. It does what we want. Anyone thinks that Trump is not fine with Netanyahu going into Southern Lebanon. You're kidding yourself. He cannot do anything Netanyahu without Donald Trump. Because we can tell them we're not going to replenish your munitions. You're not going to get intelligence. We're not going to coordinate with you. You're on your own. So everything they're doing is with the approval, the consent or the urging of the United States of America under Donald Trump. There's no surprises here. This is long been the case. It's just now so undeniable. Now, I've thought, in fact, I've said it out loud in this program that Netanyahu

29:54is desperate. I mean, he's got an election coming. If he gets out of office, he goes to prison. He's desperate to stay in office and he needs a war. And this war is apparently very popular in Israel right now. It's helping him that Netanyahu and Netanyahu used to sleep at Jared Kushner's home, you know, 30 years ago, the longtime family friend, that Netanyahu and Kushner basically talked Trump into this. You're suggesting that Trump talked Netanyahu into this? No, no, I think that they go to Donald Trump. And Donald Trump says, has to say, yeah, if Donald Trump said to Netanyahu, you're not going to bomb Iran. And Netanyahu says, oh, really, what are you going to do about it? Well, we're not going to give you any more weapons for the planes you brought from us. We're not going to give you intelligence. Okay, we could stop it. Donald Trump is responsible for the United States military. Netanyahu wanted this, but if I was the head of another country, I would want Americans to die for my country, too. Sure. That's, you know, it's Donald Trump who's responsible and the GOP that's responsible for what we're going through right now. Netanyahu is a war criminal. The man should be at the

30:57hagg first trial for the genocide in Ghana. And he's been trying to get American presidents to attack Iran since 1998. And, and, and, and none of the previous American presidents were stupid enough to do it, which brings me to another one of the, we're talking, we're talking with Dino Bidala and the author of the Deans report, as well as, of course, the great Dino Bidala show right here on Series X and Progress, channel 127, 69 PM. And, and this is the piece that you wrote about Donald Trump. In fact, I think the headline was White House's in full cover-up mode of Trump's dementia. Now, you, you know my theory that his, his brews on the back of his hand that shows up every month is because he's getting an infusion of that dementia drug that's given through an infusion in the back of a hand. But, I, you know, I have no proof of that. I assume that you're going well beyond that and you're thinking. Well, I, I just, again, last night, until you, Dr. John Gardner, from Deutito Warren on my show, and I'm going to write a new article about it. I mean, I asked some point line, is there a cover-up going up? Absolutely. Keep in mind,

32:02if people in the cabinet and the White House see Donald Trump all day, they only let us see him from little snippets of a time, right? That's all. He's sundowns. They generally don't show him at night. It's rare. Like, tonight, we might see him at night because there's an event at the Kennedy Center, so they're not going to show him during the day to us. So, there is a cover-up of Donald Trump's dementia going on. Secondly, has Dr, Dr. Gardner point line. I read him the 25th Amendment, section four, is Donald Trump now unable to discharge his duties as president, and he's absolutely the man. So, he can be manipulated by Netanyahu or anybody else. So, when I say he's got dementia, I'm not a doctor. I rely on doctors, just like when I was a lawyer. When I interviewed Dr. Gardner last night, I told him, I should really swear you and I feel like we're at a court room, and now we're going to explain the case to the people about what you're seeing, what you're finding, what he's hearing from his peers in the mental health community. So, there's a, and the point Dr. Gardner makes is today is the best that you will see Donald Trump. Tomorrow, he will begin, he will degrade a little more on the day after that. So, every day is going to get worse, and that's

33:04just life. It's not about Trump. It's about someone who's at his age who has some history of dementia in his family with his dad and his sister, and a cousin as well from my husband, Mary Trump's brother. So, look, this is happening in real time. The problem is he's in the White House. All right, and he claims that he's taking 360 milligrams of aspirin every day, which is the dose that you take if you've already had a stroke to prevent a second stroke. And so, there's speculation about that too. I'm wondering what's at the top of your mind right now. What do you think is the biggest issue that we should all be talking about and that's confronting this country? And the birthright citizenship case. Yeah. And to me, it's less about the substance and more, but this is a real issue for all of us, the case tomorrow. If the Supreme Court, we won't have this issue tomorrow, but if they rule for Trump, then the Constitution is done. They are saying a president can sit in his office and rewrite the Constitution. That's what I'm really concerned about. So, to me, it's not about that the substance says Donald Trump should lose. The question are there five Republican justices who are wet ready and willing to make a king a tyrant by

34:10saying, yes, he can sit there in overturned Supreme Court precedent and an understanding of an amendment from 1866, 1867 and do it willfully, but with a pen at his desk, that's to me the most concerning part. So, I'm going to hear the oral argument for that. I'm hoping we see like a seven to decision against it ultimately, but I'm not sure. Have you have you read any of the briefs? Do you know what the art? I'm broadly familiar with their argument, but what I'm wondering is if they knock down the 14th amendment. How does Trump decide who's a citizen and who isn't? What criteria does he put forward? They do their Trump sign an executive order last year, and basically it's there. It's two buckets, but if you're born in the U.S., and neither of your parents are green card holders or citizens, and they're undocumented, you can't be a citizen. If one of them are, you can be. So, but what that would open up is two tiers of people. Children born here, and they're stateless. And that's because all three of all three of his kids with a vana were born before she became a citizen. And I'm pretty sure Barron was born

35:11before Melania became a citizen. But if you were here legally, if you were documented, then it's okay. It's going to be, it's a BS argument. I mean, this Supreme Court has cited the case over 100 years ago already. That's what concerns me. Will this Supreme Court do what they did in Roe v. Wade and not give it back to state that actually find some way to overturn it? If they do, folks, Donald Trump will rewrite the 22nd Amendment. Then we write the first amendment to say of press has to be, it's fake news, you lose your protections. And if you think that's ridiculous, that's as a ridiculous thing. Tom Hartman program. Well, in your first hour, you mentioned Patrick Henry. And that reminded me of a little something. You remember a couple, almost a couple years ago, the fourth of July, you know, it would be the 248th anniversary of our nation.

36:17A certain congressman by the name of Josh Holley, known for his bravery on January 6th. Yes. He fled him foot. Yes. Right, brave Sir Holley ran away. Yes. Anyway, but after having, you know, fist pumped the insurrection that's on its way into the chamber. But anyway, he tweeted out a quote supposedly from Patrick Henry. Remember that? The religious quote. I don't recall that, no. Yeah. For years, I've been like tracing that quote. And I've since come across a historian by the name of Seth Kotlar, C-O-T-L-A-R, or maybe Kotlar, I'm not sure if I'm pronouncing us correctly, you should get him on your show. He's a teacher's US history at William at University. Anyway, you know, between him and me, is this a debunking David Barlow moment?

37:18Is this a debunking David is a David Barlow? Is he the guy who wrote the Texas civics textbooks where he made up quotes from the founders about Jesus and stuff? Well, he's not the only one. This particular quote has been found in a number of books, including Bartons and William Fatterers and several of that fairly funny. Well, what it is, is that it appeared in a newspaper, a segregationist rag of a newspaper called the Virginian in 1556. And even it didn't claim it was a Patrick Henry quote. What happened was, is that the editorial on the bottom right corner of a page had a big cross on it and had a quote from supposedly from Patrick Henry's will, but it was a completely different quote saying, I wish I could leave to my family, my Christian faith. If they had that and I didn't leave them any money, they would be rich. If I gave them the world and

38:19they didn't have Christianity, they would be poor. That's was the quote. And then further down, in Texas, very obviously not quoting. I mean, the whole quote was italicized and put in quotes and marked from Patrick Henry his will. And the rest of this text is below that in regular print. It says that there's an affiniest campaign to false propaganda being waged today to the effect that our country is not a Christian country, but a religious one, that it was not found around Christianity, but on freedom of religion. Next paragraph. It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was not was founded, not by religious in quotes, but by Christians, italicized, not on religion, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason, people's and other faces have been afforded. And then the next paragraph, assembly, to a freedom of worship. And then the next paragraph that says that the spoken of written words of our noble founders and forefathers, we find symbolic expression of their Christian faith.

39:20The above quotation from the will of Patrick Henry is an noble example. Now that is obviously referring to that obviously marked quote, but somebody saw that and thought that it meant the immediately preceding paragraph about the religionists. I would choose. Yeah. So this is how we have been. Let me, let me, let me one up here here, CJ, because we're talking about quotes from the founders that get abused. If you go down to the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C., you will see this quote etched into the stone from Thomas Jefferson quote, I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny imposed upon the mind of man. And it just stands there all by itself. And it's literally that and his reference to nature's God and the declaration of independence are about the only two times that Jefferson ever famously used the word God. And the Bible thumpers used this quote, you know,

40:22I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny imposed upon the mind of man to prove that Jefferson was actually a Christian. So let me read to you, if I may, the actual letter that quote came from. It was a letter from Thomas Jefferson to Dr. Benjamin Rush, who was a dear friend of his. They were both deists. And this is the letter in almost its entirety. Dear sir, I promised you a letter on Christianity, which I have not forgotten. I do not know that it would write, by the way, this was two months before the election of 1800, which is where he defeated John Adams. And the religious, and John Adams was running on his own Christianity. And he was trashing Jefferson for not being a Christian in the newspapers and things. And there was also the Sally Hamming stuff was coming out then too. So that, you know, he was being, Jefferson was being trash for all these things. That, of course, was justified. But in any case, so anyway, I promised you a letter on Christianity, which I have not forgotten. I do

41:26not know that it would reconcile the genus irritable victim, which is Latin for angry priests, who are all in arms against me. Their hostility is on too interesting a ground to be softened. The delusion on the clause of the Constitution, which, while it secured the freedom of the press, he's talking about the First Amendment here, covered also the freedom of religion, has given to our clergy a very favorite hope of obtaining an establishment of a particular form of Christianity throughout the United States. And as every sect believes its own to be the one true one, everyone perhaps hoped for his own, but especially the Episcopalians and the Congregationalists. The returning good sense of our country threatens abortion to their hopes. And the preachers believe that any portion of power confided to me, such as being elected president, will be exerted in opposition to their schemes. And they believe rightly, for I have sworn upon the order of God,

42:28eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of men. But this is all they have to fear from me, and enough too, in their opinion. Yeah, I know some of that. Patrick Henry Quote, yeah, it was also in Newt Gingrich's book, of course, a nation like no other, and in his plan for for his on day one, for if he had gotten elected. There you go. And then after I get out of high school, and you know, after I'm getting doctorinated into the military, where they tell me how if I stick my hand in the goo that was once my my battle buddies had, I don't know what to do, you know, kill the other man, is what they're teaching us, and then doctorating as into. And then, you know, I look and see, you know, I go all the way back to the founding of this nation, and go forth from the founding of this nation to how we treated the indigenous people of this nation, as well as how we have inflicted our rule and our, you know, nobody thinks about whenever we see a republic that rises up that has a dictatorship, what do we call that a banana, a banana republic? Where's that come from?

44:35Oh wait, that's right. We created the banana republic. We and don't think that we do. Yes, the companies, which, which means literally that those were, that those were corporatocracy, whether you want to admit it or not that we're created by the United States, we enabled that to occur. And then I'm looking at it, and then I'm looking at if I step back, okay, get out of my own head and I step back and I look at America and its entirety from inception to now, are we the bad guys? Are we, are we not the, are we, are we not the, uh, we think we're the rebels, we're not, we're the imperial, we need to, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh. Wait, wait, are the imperiales? I officially nominate you as the trucker philosopher king. You are absolutely right. And, and you know, this is what Republicans brought us, you know, Reagan with his little war on Grenada, the bush with his, uh,

45:40of Dr. Noriega and his little war in, you know, on Kuwait, the Bush Jr. with his wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, you know, all of these were unnecessary. All of we relied in all of these. They were all done for the benefit of the billionaire class and the defense contractors. And now, you know, Trump with Iran and the world is looking at this and they know what's going on. And yeah, I think our reputation here on the world has been devastated. And it's not just Trump, it's this accumulation across four Republican presidencies that have completely undone the very positive Republican presidency, arguably, of Dwight Eisenhower, you know, who won World War II, you know, who helped, you know, organize NATO and the United Nations and everything. You know, it's just the damage that has been done by these guys is, it's going to take a generation to recover from, at least. I mourn what has happened to our country, Wayne. And she delivered a speech on February 28th about the strikes on these three U.S. Tomahawk missiles on the DIA, big girls elementary school in Vietnam, Iran, which killed about 175 people, 165 of which were little girls aged 7 to 12. That's right. And it was a double tap strike too. Yeah. Many minutes after the initial strike, they came into the second strike to take out the rescue workers. I mean, you know, it's. Yeah. The delus strike in terms of civilian casualties on this war. But she delivered this speech, and she is great. She is literally saying that we are the terrorists. But it's a short video.

48:48You have to watch it. If you just go to YouTube videos and search for her name, just in Google, you'll find it. It's worth watching. There were some, you know, the ten people of Milton Mayer interviewed, if considered themselves good Germans in that they didn't join the Nazi party and they didn't participate. But there is a collective. Yeah. My grandfather was one of them. Yeah. There's a collective. Yeah. My grandfather went to jail for harboring Jews. Oh my. And then my other grandfather was killed by the Russians when the Russians came through Eastern Prussia. Yeah. They were hiding out in the country to avoid all the Nazi BS, you know. Yeah. Hegseth came out and called, he led this prayer, a service yesterday at the Pentagon, or as it was the day before yesterday, in which he called on his God, and I consider Hegseth's God to be a demonic force, essentially, the way that, you know, any, he's just totally bizarre. He prayed that overwhelming violence of action against those who deserve no mercy. You know, this is not the sort of thing Jesus did. You know, the one act of violence that I recall in the Gospels was when, you know, around the time that, while it was when Jesus was arrested before he was crucified, and Peter was with him, and he cut off the ear of one of the soldiers, and Jesus healed it, and said, don't do that, basically. I mean, you know, don't be violent. But, uh, probably, oh, the 14th was kind of of the same opinion as Jesus.

51:56This is what he said. Um, he didn't, he didn't say that he was saying this in response to Hegseth, but it, you know, the timing is suspicious, shall we say. He said, and I quote, this is our God, Jesus, king of peace, who rejects war, whom no one can use to justify war. He does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war, but rejects them, saying, even though you make many prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood end of quote. That, you know, the, the last part of that quote, by the way, is the most mind boggling part of it. And I haven't seen it in any of our major media. It's like they don't want to embarrass Pete Hegseth by quoting the Pope at him or something. I don't, I don't get it. But the bottom line here is that this is an administration, this is, this is a party, the Republican party that since 1980, when the Reagan campaign, or Ronald Reagan, who never went to church.

52:59And George Herbert Walker Bush, who was very, who is vice president, who was very wary is not even quite the right word of talking about religion, um, Bush was, you know, kind of an old line, I believe he was Presbyterian, um, you know, fact check me on that. But he was, he was of that generation that didn't talk about their religion. The kind of pre-billy Graham generation, the generation that thought, you know, religion's a personal thing. It's what you do on Sunday. It's how you live your life privately, but it's not what you do if you're a politician. And they hired George W. Bush, the vice president Bush's son, to create a liaison between the Republican party and the religious right. And George W. brought in Jerry Falwell and Ralph Reed and all these whack jobs. And now Franklin Graham is out there, you know, praying for more war.

54:01There was a sub-stack newsletter a couple days ago, headlined, I believe it was John Powell of it, who's been on this program a couple times, who was a Methodist minister for 30 years, headlined words to the effect of the Franklin Graham is going to hell. And you know, if there is a hell, I think so, you know, given what's going on. But this is the main point that I make in my article today, and it's a fairly long article because I wanted to just make this absolutely bulletproof and give this information to anybody who wants it, you know, who engages in these arguments with these crazies, is that the founders of this republic, the founders, the people who fought the Revolutionary War, and the framers of the Constitution, the people who met in Philadelphia in the summer of 1787 and wrote the Constitution. And in, you know, there's a fair amount of crossover between those two groups, but there's also some separation, right, that the founders and framers were very explicit, that they

55:07did not want to create a religious country, that America was not a Christian nation. Straight forward, yes, there were a few religious fanatics among them, though the most outspoken was Patrick Henry. Patrick Henry was the largest slaveholder in the state of Virginia. He held over 300 people in bondage, in slavery. And he was an outspoken evangelical Christian, who used his Christianity to justify his holding people in slavery. Among the founders, and I'm not even sure you could argue that he was a founder, he famously said, give me liberty or give me death, but, you know, that's about it, right, he didn't, he wasn't like a distinguished general or, you know, a well-known politician, but, you know, outside of Patrick Henry, many of the founders, not all of them, but perhaps even a majority of the founders were a religious, not religious. There were a few who were. I mean, James Madison went to church at least twice a week, John Adams went to church every Sunday, and they were both explicitly and outspokenly opposed to any religion in

56:12our country. James Madison, the guy who went to church several times a week, his first veto when he became president in 18, what was the year, 18 must have been, 1809 or 10 or 11, right around, I forget the year when he issued the veto. It was legislation to give money to a church in Washington, D.C. to provide, to provide clothing and food for poor people, and he vetoed it, saying that federal money should never be going to churches, and this will establish a precedent, and it's intolerable. Now, that's one of the most religious of the founders. And Jefferson, of course, was just outspoken about being a deist, about not being a Christian. Then Franklin said, I absented myself from, he said, Christian dogma was unintelligible to me. I absented myself from Christian assembly early in my life as a teenager, 17 years old, he left Massachusetts, went to Philadelphia to get away from the religious crazies.

57:16So I lay all this out in excruciating detail that essentially the founders and framers would not be down with what these guys are doing. You've got a headset now promoting, not just promoting religion, but he has taken America in the eyes of the world, and particularly in the eyes of the Muslim world, to that same place that Iran is at right now. It is to say a governing authority that is exciting religion as the basis of their authority. And this is just absolutely wrong. This is wrong on so many levels. I mean, it's a historic, it's blasphemous, it's obscene, and it's wrong. So anyway, you know, like I said, the article's fairly long, you can read some free, it's over at heartlandreport.com. I think it's an important one to share.

58:19Allen and San Diego, hey, Allen, what's on your mind today? There was a report that came out about three weeks ago. I saw it on my phone, popped up, it sent that the USS Abraham Lincoln was bombed by Iran. And I looked at, so I looked, I looked forward on the news, there was nothing said about it. Also good. I don't believe that happened. I'm sure of that. There was one of our carriers, I don't know if it was the Abraham Lincoln or the Gerald Ford or which one it was that had a big fire in their laundry and their toilets backed up and they had to take it out of the theater. And that's kind of limping on about that. And there was speculation that the sailors might have sabotaged the ship because they'd been a sea for six months longer than they were supposed to be and, you know, people were missing, you know, their kids and family and stuff like that. But I, you know, I, all I read are just basically the rumors, you know, around that stuff. I mean, I know for sure that that ship got pulled out of the region because they were having physical problems with the ship, but, you know, where those problems came from, don't

59:21know. Okay. Also, too, all those, those South Africaners that came to this country saying that they would be in torture. Well, guess what? I heard from what I'm reading now. They said that they were, you know, they're trying to go back to South Africa. Oh, really? Carolyn Levit. She was given the press conference saying that they're trying to indicate that they're trying to arrest Obama or something. I thought that was fake and I said, well, it's real or what and everything.
