Wellness Part 4: Rounding The Corner Into The Event Horizon

I invite you into my mind, to see what I see as our politicians have told us every day for the last year, that we are turning the corner in our global fight with COVID-19.

And through the eyes of a madman, who doesn't suffer the yoke of COVID fatigue or illusory confirmation bias that the sane desperately cling to justify their need to reconnect, you will see through the fantasy optimism, you will realize that the virus is mutating faster than we are able to kill it with the most advanced antiviral pharmaceutical technology in the history of medicine:  the mRNA  vaccine.  Less than 1/3 of the United States has been vaccinated, and the virus has already evolved into the P.1 strain, a mutation that spreads twice as easily and is as much as 70% resistant to our most advanced antiviral.

When you look into madness and the madness looks back into you, you will know for certain that we are not turning the corner.  We are orbiting in COVID's morbidity well, and our orbit is decaying.  Before long, if we don't act, we will cross the event horizon--the point of no return where COVID becomes incurable as it's rate of mutation outpaces our ability to develop vaccines to kill the continually evolving virus.
