We're Weekend Friends. This is our van. It has a few names I guess. I think the original was Carlos Vantana or featuring Rob Thomas. And then it was also Van Nessa Carlton and then just big rusty because it's big and rusty. Yeah, we're out here touring and our big rusty van in Chicago.

1:03We're sporting our new record feels like hell. We're at Beat Kitchen here tonight and we're going to take you in a little tour of this old thing. Alright, so most of the driving despite me being in the driver seat is done by one and Hoffman, our lovely bass player and driver extraordinaire. Other than that, we kind of just split it up a little bit. You know, you don't want anybody getting too tired on the road. Yeah, it's pretty great. Driver picks music. I've been on a big podcast pick. I'm going to shout out Handsome. I love those gals and I like a little bit of coast to coast action spooky stuff. Yeah, last podcast on the left. To be fair, you'll be listening to stuff. Whoever's driving is listening to stuff and I feel like we'll like listen to stuff together. But if like I'm in the backseat or like someone else's driver like all in headphones kind of in our own little world. I feel like being on tour, it's like you're only escaped to have your like a little bit of a long time. Weirdly enough can be in the van and sometimes laying in a back bench with air pods on is really it.

2:09It's really that zen moment you get to just hang out. I've never been in the back bench. You never in the far back? It's great back there. You should try it. I'm always up here. So my lounge. We got some show posters. We just played Fest in Florida. Awesome festival. I mean, we got some obviously Chachki's hanging from the rear view. We got the Yankee Candle Pumpkin Spice because it's the season. Sorry, Spice Pumpkin. We have the WWE World Champion belt. Yeah. We have, sorry, the Heavyweight Champion. Oh, you know, we have some art for my niece. So you know, this is a professional workplace. Yeah, wording work. This is our job. So we are in the office. We have the official Hotty Watcher cone. That's a melting. And, yeah, that's what's going on up front here, right? It's pretty, it's pretty fun. Got a little skeleton. I'm still off the work thing. The store is a little wonky, so you got to really give it a time.

3:09All right, so we got it. Oh, I do get to go in the back bench. Hey, it's your first time in the back bench. How was it back there? First and last time. I've been missing out. Yeah, this is the lap of luck. But up in here, we have what we call the museum. Where we just kind of shove various things from different, different excursions and fun places we've been. I'm trying to find something good. People will give us notes. That's the poem that was written about me. Fabulous as always. You were the perfect amount of sharp, best birthday for us ever. Have fun in Europe. Beth and Andrew. You got Beth and Andrew. We have someone who wrote a poem for Adam. It's Angel Wing Arms. Radiant energy bursting forth in electric, burned energy. A wild sea, fourth expendancy, bright light. I can't see what that word bingo with all this bingo. That looks like it says bingo.

4:11Light bingo with all the spaces covered. It is bingo. If you only let me finish. What luck to look upon you. Love note to Annie. Another love note to Annie. We got plenty of love notes for Annie. I thought it was a strip of me doing the same thing. Yeah. So where is the one I really want to talk about? I can't if I could find it. But we got to take it once. We're going too slow. We got to take it once. We're going too slow through a popular drug smuggling route. And where were we? New Mexico? Yeah. And I literally... We weren't going too slow. We were speeding, but we were only going 30 now. Yeah, we were going to... I think we were going like... It was 35 and a 25. And a 25. Anyway, they didn't give us ticket. They gave us warning. It was really cold. And when they asked if we had any drugs, I was like, we have like multi vitamins. We didn't have any drugs. We just are very, very simple people. All right. And that's, yeah, that's the museum. We got some more stuff up there. Chopsticks if you need to return them.

5:12Some other lore about this van that I think is really important for everyone to know. Is this van? Well, Cheryl Crow almost drove in this van. It's the head's biggest... Until her team saw a picture and was like, yeah, absolutely not. I guess I could explain. We can't put Cheryl in the van. It's not even explained. It's just the van that almost drove Cheryl Crow and Cheryl. You're still welcome. The offer's on the table. Anytime you want to ride, every day is a winding road. So there's four of us, usually that ride along. Sometimes five. Sometimes five. But usually two up front. And then we each get our back benches here. You can lay down. You can relax. We got pillows, blankets, cozy little ride. That's good for reading. I read a lot in the van when I'm not driving. I got some collections over here. Not that we can listen to records in the van. But this is where all the stored records and stuff we buy on tour. Let's see what we got. Let's see what we've been buying.

6:13We've been stopping at record stores every pretty much date on this tour. And I've been picking up a different record to enjoy once we're home. So some selects. We got Funkadelic. We have the New Land Breany girls who let the dogs out. It's a great one. We have some jaw box, which is always great. Yesterday we went to a record store. And I got the new... I got the new Haley Williams, which is awesome in every capacity. But yeah, that's where the records are stored safely and soundly. Panging out in here is pretty fun. Snacks and stuff. She's under the benches. Yeah, we really do optimize every inch of this van. I try to keep it as organized as possible as they'll all let me. But yeah, we have stuff stored away everywhere. Yeah, we got some seat covers up here. It's real nice. Real high quality. You know, stuff that's just for aesthetic and vibes.

7:14Keeping it fresh in here. Pass under seat is a closet. Yeah, the passenger seat is also well. I'll show you the actual closet. But this can become a little bit of a coat rack situation. We got the dad bod sticker. That's my jacket. That's the jacket that's now defined as tour. We'll see more jackets. I tend to collect jackets as we travel throughout this country. We were big fans of vintage clothing stores on tour. The Garfield, what does it say? I'm more fun in the dark. I'm more fun in the dark. Relatable. I'm actually the gear lives in the U-Haul. You know, that's where all the musical equipment lives. Don't tell anybody. It's not actually where there's nothing in there. It's just nothing. Now we've reached the pantry. So, yep. I'd rather be at Ross to be honest. Stressless.

8:14I've never actually been in Ross. Who knows, but I'd rather be there. Put the sticker made us laugh. So, okay. So, because all the gear lives in the trailer back here, we kind of have just personal storage. These are my many jackets all hanging on the side here. Some good ones. I bought this one on this tour. This is an old vintage Ralph Lauren from the 90s. 80s maybe I think. It's one of my favorite jackets. A couple more black jean jacket back here, but that's where those all get stored. And by the end of this tour, they're probably more jackets. I bought this jacket on tour as well. Annie, do you want to explain all your food? Geez. Okay. So, I am the king of dietary restriction. What's up, my crones disease, homies? So, I always go into any tour assuming I won't be able to eat anything that the venue provides. And so, we travel with a pantry. You can't even really see it, but there's a fridge back there

9:17that plugs in. We got more lentils. But it's all any friendly fare. A lot of lentils. What else do you got? Some like instant dinners, some fruits and veggies that travel. Bananas. Cost decently. We got bananas. We got lemons. We got apples. We got dates. We got cherry tomatoes. We got pickles. Yeah. Lots of anybody wants like dietary stuff. We got some millet cereal. We got so much cereal. I got a fucking juicer. Oh, I'm gonna let us wear it. Okay. Got a fucking juicer. We have like a hot plate in there and a pot to make little soups or tortilla wraps. Yeah. Yeah. We got it all. Essentially like when the food is not better, you're just trying to save money, which we always are. You got to kind of just have all the quintessential things. We got some safe catch. Shout out. Tuna. We got ramen noodles in here. Yeah. We got a whole smorgasth work essentially.

10:18We just travel like it's the apocalypse because you know, it's good to be ready. And yeah, I guess if the apocalypse happened, it'd be a great time to be on tour. Because I feel like we'd have all the stuff we need on our person. It's like the best time when you're at home, you're a craft guard. But if you're on tour, you have all the food. You can keep moving. You have clothing. You have cash. Often. You got many jackets. You got many jackets. Yeah, all the jackets. You definitely need about like 10 jackets to survive the apocalypse.
