Watts Joins Huskies, Boosts Sprinkle's Lineup

Danny Sprinkle snagged former Texas Tech forward, LaWan Watts, ranked number 59 overall and number 7 among small forwards. This 6 foot 6, 225 pounds senior average 11.8 points, 6 rebounds and 2.4 assists last season in, 33 games with 28 starts. Watts is coming back home to the Evergreen State after Stins at Eastern Washington and Washington State. He put up career highs of 13.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.1 steals with the Cougars. His brother Dishan even plays defensive tackle for the Huskies football squad. Fans are buzzing about how Watts fits right into Sprinkle's lineup, likely starting alongside Junior Guard Wesley Yates. His size and physicality make him a solid rebounder who can drive to the hoop, with the big question is his 3-point shot. He hit over 40% early on, but dipped to 32% at Texas Tech.
