They have added a running back into the mix and running back, which Kakes has been lobbying for, at least for the most recent days. I think I mentioned Rashad White a few months ago, like three or four months ago, as like a guy who would be a good fit, not like a war course back, not a guy who's gonna have 15 to 17 carries per game, but a guy who fills a specific role for the team, and you look and see what he's done, at least receiving wise in Tampa, he was there for four seasons, 50 catches, 64 catches, 51 and 40.

3:03I mean, the guy has a skill set where he can catch balls out of the back field. He's not a slouch either running the ball. Like he had, let me see, he had 129 attempts as a rookie, 272, 144 and 132, like his impact rushing the ball was reduced because of Bucky Irving's emergence over the past couple seasons in Tampa, but for what's reported to be a one year $2 million deal with a chance to make up to four million with incentives, I feel like this is a no brain or signing for the commanders, especially, because we touched on how bare the pantry is as far as like free agent running backs are available. Yep. Rashad White seemed like the best fit for the commanders and they pounced on it and signed up to a one year deal. And Matt Cahill loves him because he went to Arizona State. Right. All right, Matt Cahill, you love. I think it's a great, I think it's a great signing. I was going to talk about it a couple of days ago. Look, he doesn't miss games, right? No, he doesn't.

4:04Bill doesn't catch any balls. He's the perfect complement to that. Yep. He's going to get you 500, 600 yards rushing. He's going to get you 500, 600 yards receiving. Yeah. Two years ago, he had 1500 yards or nine touchdowns two years ago. I mean, that's, he's not, he's not going to be an all pro. No, he's a very versatile guy. He's a younger, he's a younger Jeremy McNeck. He's what he is because McNeckles is a free agent. He's 30, Rashad White's 27. Yep. There's, there's literally no risk signing him. It's one year for $2 million. Mm-hmm. Like, it just makes all the sense of the world for the commanders to sign this guy. He's fun to watch. He's, he's got a long stride. He's not explosive. He's not going to probably rip off AD yard runs or anything like that. But he's a very smooth runner. Yeah. Well, he's, he also scored high. And this is, this is an Adam Peters trait. He loves guys who score high on the relative, I think is relative athletic scale, the RAS. Rashad White was, he had big numbers in, in that. Is he a California kid?

5:06Is he from California, Southern California? I believe so. Yeah. I can't remember. Well, and just think about this. Let's just say, love does slip to seven. Mm-hmm. Which, I'm not, I'm not saying it's going to happen, but if it did, would you pluck love in there? And now you have white as your number two, and then the bill is your number three. I personally, we had no problem with it because that's a, that's a nice room. If you go back to the Matthew Barry reports coming out of the combine, there were reports that the commanders wanted like a thumper, a guy who could carry them all 15-ish times per game. Mm-hmm. And that they considered bill more of a two or even like a three running back. Right. That makes, all this, it makes total sense if Jeremiah love is there because Rashad White's getting signed under one year deal. Yeah. You don't have a ton of running backs in the room. I would have no problem picking Jeremiah love at seven, even with the white signing because you're going to carry at least three running backs anyway, right? Yeah. So you might as well have a superstar in the top 10 at number seven, but I think this

6:07is also assigning as insurance in case Jeremiah love doesn't make it to seven. At least they've got bill, Rashad White, and then they can fill in with either another guy in the draft or somebody else that comes loose in free. No, they're still, no, they still have a major hole at wide receiver to absolutely major hole there. Yeah. Now, maybe that's a draft pick. Maybe that's what we've been seeing. Peters do work almost every day. I know. Yesterday was the shot. Maybe he plucks a juan. And all the people that were killing him on Monday, yeah. After a couple of hours of free agency. 7:13You can vote at junks radio or give us a call at 1-800-636-1067. So I do not think it should pre-empt them from drafting Jeremiah Love. Not at all. I think now they're in a position where they've filled a lot of holes defensively with OA and Chazon at the edge. They got Chanel's linebacker. They've added help in the secondary with Robertson. They've filled in a lot of gaps defensively. Now I think they're in position where they just draft the best player available. Certainly. Now there are certain positions I wouldn't draft. Best player available that's not a quarterback, not a tight end. They're good with tackles right now. You don't need a tight end yet, I did chig. But you want to draft a wide receiver? Okay, you want to draft. Running back? Okay, you want to draft sunny styles? That's okay. I would not pre-empt drafting them, but I'm sure there are some people and you can call us 1-800-636-167 that would say, hey, they still need to go defense. They need to take kale downs or sunny styles or a Reese, whoever drops them at number seven,

8:19they need to star on defense. I don't think they have to do that. And I don't think that's an illegitimate argument. I feel like because of the fact that they've really loaded up on defense during free agency, they can just be like, we'll take the best offensive player that's available to seven. Whether that's Jeremiah Love or Carl Neltate at seven, whoever drops those at seven, we're just going to grab that guy. But who's the star on defense that they snagged? Not I didn't say a star. I didn't say a star. I know, but my point is, none of these guys that they got, they might all be productive. We hope that they're all productive, but it's not like they picked up a star on defense. And they might have a perspective. We don't know. They might have a perspective that we want somebody that's going to be a game changer. And maybe Caleb Downs that guy, maybe Sonny Stiles that guy, maybe Reese's that guy. I'm not saying that they're jacks because O.A. was ranked in the top 10 amongst free agents by most of the experts, right? But he could have a big year. He's not miles. Garrett. No, but he's not like a parser. He's not going to have those type of numbers, but he could have a big year. I just want Peters to have conviction in his board.

9:23Like once number seven comes up, whoever's a top rank player on your board is, it's available. You just pick that guy because you've spent millions of dollars and months along with your scouting staff to put your board together. Don't deviate from your board once you're on, you've got 10 minutes on the clock. If your best player is, say, it's Sonny Stiles and he's there at seven, you take him. If your best player is Carnell Tate and he's available, you take him. Well, I don't care really what position it is. Tate, love and Downs, one of those guys is going to be available at seven, right? Right. Bailier Reese. Me too. I mean, I'm just talking about the three that I would be targeting, because I would be targeting one of those three players at seven, if I had to rank them, just based on what they need. In my opinion, I would go love Tate Downs in that order, but I could see them going down. If love and Tate are gone because you put Downs in that secondary now with what you've

10:23added across. Yeah, the cross. Yeah, it's a great young tandem. With those young corners, man, you've got a much better secondary. Right. Where are we going to say the best thing that could happen to Adam Peters in terms of your perception in the draft is if love is taken before seven, because if he's there at seven and now all of a sudden, if Peters can use him as a luxury because the team was a good rushing team before love and you made all of these and you made this acquisition with white in the off season and you trust merit your seventh round pick the year before and you pass on them. And all of a sudden love turns into this game changing hall of fame style running back, then everyone's going to have this buyer's remorse if who you selected at seven isn't comparable to love. Right. But that could happen in reverse, though, too, right? Yeah. Share my love being a dud, like, um, and it's just one year, but Ash and genties first year, right? Yeah.

11:23Sonny styles or a real reason one of these other guys that they could potentially draft could end up being a stud could, but fans don't fans don't remember stuff like that. Not usually not usually they usually that remember all we passed on this player and he turned out to be an all pro. Everybody seems to give Ash and gentia pass for his rookie season, but and this I found interesting. I can't remember who we had on the show that was an NFL insider in the last couple of days. But they actually said that they ranked gentie a better prospect than Jeremiah love. And I think previously I thought that most of the people thought Jeremiah love was better than Ash and gentie. Well, you said that gives me a little pause. I'm not going to give Ash and gentie was such a dud last year and he's ranked higher than Jeremiah love. He was in such a bad situation. Like, I don't understand. I don't think the Raiders view gentie as a dud. They viewed last year as a dud because they had a horrible quarterback play, a terrible make shift offensive line, like not a lot of like Bowers was injured for at least half

12:27of the season. Yeah. So like they had a lot going against gentie in his rookie campaign. I would expect a much better year to out of him even even with a rookie quarterback. It's it's like what happened when they drafted Johnny Newton, except that at much higher stakes. Right. When they drafted Johnny Newton, it kind of came out of nowhere. That's who they liked. That's that's who they felt to him. The fan base was going, hey, Cooper DeGine is is a dog and this is a position of need. We really want him like draft Cooper, draft Cooper and all of a sudden they bypass him. He turns into he turns into a stud for Philly. Yeah. And you have Johnny Newton. Yeah. Maybe maybe the best thing for Adam Peters is the Titans are in love with Jeremiah love because it's going to help cam boards development to have a guy that can rush for 12 or 1,300 yards as a rookie in that backfield and they just feel like they can't pass him up. And that way he's not even available for Peters to deal with at seven. That's aggressive. You're giving them 1,300 yards as a rookie.

13:27I mean, if he plays he plays 17 games, if he plays every game, I mean, that's that's a sort of role he's going to step into. I would think how many guys are in for 1,300 yards this past these 12 or 1,300, I mean, that's not a crazy number. I don't think. Yeah. He's measured carrying them all a lot. It is going to be interesting to see where love goes. If he goes to Tennessee at four, right, then obviously you, you're, you might be looking at Caleb Downs. Yeah. Your decision is easier. I mean, you might not even get Cornell Tate at that point. I've seen several mocks that have the giants who are picking at five, taking tape or possibly Cleveland. And that makes sense because the giants have neighbors coming off a major injury. They lost Wondale Robinson, they're, they're wide receiver room is a little bit sparse. So that makes a lot of sense. So you might have both of the top skill position guys gone by the time it comes to the commanders pick at seven. And of both of those guys are gone. I think we had, it was Logan Paulson yesterday, you said, you can't have too many stud ed rushers.

14:28Right. That way, like David Bailey's there. Right. You take him for styles or whoever Reese, then you, you could pluck him. I still think they would go down there at seven just because they've addressed the edge with, with three agency, but I could see it. Yeah, the latest tankathon.com mock that I'm looking at has the commanders taking David Bailey at seven because this mock has love going at four testing season is right around the corner.
