Washington Commanders Host Historic HBCU Showcase

0:00On March 27th, the Washington Commanders are making history this weekend by hosting their first-ever HBCU Showcase and International Pathway Program, pro-day at their facility in Asperin, Virginia. Sponsored by Microsoft Co-Pilot, the three-day event runs from March 28th through 30th, with on-field workouts kicking off at 8am. On Monday, NFL Scouts from teams across the league will flock to the Big Bear.ai Performance Center to check out top talent, including 48 prospects from, historically, black colleges and universities, and 11 from the International Pathway Program. These events spotlight players who often fly under the radar, giving HBCU standouts and global athletes a real shot at pro-careers. It's a big deal for the franchise, which has never put on something like this before. Among the international group, five players become free agents eligible for signing starting March 31st, while six others are in line for the 2026 NFL Draft.
