Well, we use adjectives with preposition two to express that we are being that way

towards someone. For example, if I forget to reply to my friend's message,

she is cold to me. In the same way, we can be funny to someone when we tell jokes.

Nice to someone when we give gifts or kind to someone when we help them with something.

We can also use warm as a verb, right?

Yes. For example, I didn't really like commuting to work,

but after a while I started to like it. It gave me lots of time to listen to music and read,

which I love. I warmed to commuting.

So it seems to have a similar meaning to becoming familiar with something and starting to like it.

We can still use warm as a verb.

That means that the familiar is not used to like it.

It seems that the familiar can feel warm from the beginning to the end,

and it's exactly the same as the kind of attitude towards her.
