The day after his first prime time address about the war in Iran.

President Trump vowing to escalate America's attacks.

And warning Iran to make a peace deal quote before it's too late.

ABC senior political correspondent Rachel Scott reporting from the White House.

Tonight oil prices soaring just hours after President Trump threatened to step up attacks on Iran.

The US and Israel carrying out an air strike near Tehran on the tallest bridge in the Middle East.

In this video circulating online, people seen standing nearby seconds before an explosion.

President Trump warning much more to follow, saying it is time for Iran to make a deal before it is too late and there is nothing left.

We are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks.

We are going to bring them back to the stone ages where they belong.

Iran showing no signs of backing down.

And Iranian missiles slamming into this neighborhood.

East of Tel Aviv, seen in video posted on social media.

And tonight, Iranian media reports the regime has executed Amir Hussein Hatami,

seen here on a photo shared on X by Iran Human Rights.

The 18 year old sentenced the death for participating in nationwide protests against the government.

Thousands have been killed in the crackdown.

Five weeks into this war, President Trump has not laid out an exit strategy or a concrete plan to reopen the critical street of her moves,

which today sent oil prices spiking.

The price for a gallon of gas here at home now tops $4 a gallon and could have reached $4.45 in the next two weeks.

Diesel could reach a record $6 a gallon.

The extra costs already adding up quickly for truck drivers like Corey Reese and Missouri.

I mean, literally, I mean, it's crazy. These trucks, you know, they carry 200, 300 gallons at a time.

In Virginia, Thomas Walker says he's making tough choices.

I have to do grocery shopping at the dollar general because it's full of gas.

It's on split in the butt between gas and food.

But as Americans are feeling the pinch at home, the president says it's not possible for the US to fund some domestic programs.

And this video obtained by Business Insider.

It's not possible for us to take care of, take care, Medicaid, Medicare, all these individual things.

They can do it on a state basis. You can't do it on a federal.

We have to take care of one thing, military protection.

Today an uptick in air attacks from both the United States and Iran.

ABC's Brit Clinic joins us now from Jerusalem with an update on the ongoing fighting in the region.

Yeah, volley it is.

Intense strikes, exchanges of fire from both sides today.

Direct hit in central Israel as well.

Also launches towards Israel from Iran, from Lebanon.

And as we know, the Houthis are now involved.

So strikes from Yemen as well.

A bridge was struck near Tehran in a place called Karaj.

It was under construction.

Two people, I believe, to have been killed in that strike.

And we heard from President Trump saying that the biggest bridge in Iran comes tumbling down.

And he warned that Iran should make a deal before there is nothing left.

Now there was also a strike at a missile base in the Iranian city of Isfahan,

which showed, you know, video showing major explosions.

There also strikes in Iran at research facilities.

While Iran continues to strike Gulf nations.

Qatar, Q8 and Bahrain was struck.

There really is no sign of this fighting, a baiting, despite the fact that we heard from President Trump on Wednesday night,

saying that maybe there are two or three weeks left of fighting.

Now, after the president's address, you know, there isn't a lot of hope in the region.

A lot of world leaders have voiced their concern that there is no real end in sight to this war,

that they're hearing a lot of mixed messages from the president.

Brent, thank you.

Late today, my colleague, Alex Frisheye, spoke with former acting secretary of the U.S. Army, Patrick Murphy,

for looking to where the U.S. is in this conflict.

We're now a little bit more than a month into this conflict.

President Trump is saying that Iran is no longer a threat to the U.S.

and that the war is nearing completion, but I'm curious.

I mean, do you agree with that assessment?

I don't, Alex.

I mean, this is first we had a Iran deal before that President Trump ripped up and then started this.

And that's why Americans are so frustrated, Alex.

They were promised no new wars and less inflation.

They've gotten the Iran war and inflation now that's rise up to, but it's now is 4.2%.

What does that mean?

That means Americans are paying more forgot a gas.

That means they're paying more for utilities.

And at a time when, you know, it's a supply and demand issue, we want more supply for energy.

But there's, because there's an increased demand with AI and everything else,

but he's cut the supply, not just 20% of the strated for moves,

but also here at home when we talk about wind and solar.

So Americans are deeply frustrated with what they're seeing.

They kind of feel like it's been 8 feet and switch, unfortunately.
