Director Patrick Hughes talked about his new Netflix action movie called War Machine, starring Alan Richardson. The film shares his name with an earlier Netflix release featuring Brad Pitt, but Hughes stuck with the title from the start. He explained in an interview that he never thought about changing it even after the Brad Pitt version came out. Netflix approved it anyway since the movies are in different genres and enough time had passed between them. Alan Richardson, who plays the lead role of a combat engineer known as 81, opened up about the tough physical challenges on set. He said it pushed him harder than any role before and made him doubt if he could finish. The story centers on 81 after he sees his brother die, then goes through Army Ranger training for a big mission against the huge mechanical. Enemy crews filmed in tough spots in New Zealand, including helicopter drops and rough rapids. War Machine is now streaming on Netflix for anyone wanting to check it out.
