Officials say most of these schools run well below full capacity, with enrollment dropping over the past five years, and no big jumps expected through, 2035. Switching to a traditional calendar or a single track year-round could tighten utilization but might require reassigning students. That could strain feeder middle school still on multi-track schedules and recent reassignments in some areas adds to family concerns over disruptions.
