Alongside Mad humans, I'm Tim Murray, two tickets punched to the NCAA tournament tonight as the Troy Trojans headed back for a second. Consecutive year and the Furman Paladins headed back for the first time since 2023 when they beat in wild fashion and Virginia. And I know Matt, you are watching the replay of the Kevin Harlan call back in 2023. How will those teams be seated? Well, good thing we have a bracketologist joining us right now. It is Rocco Miller live from the Orleans arena. Matt, he is currently watching Gonzaga of 14 at the break
against Oregon State Santa Clara, St. Mary's to come. And Rocco, before we think about what's happening right now at the Orleans, I'm curious about tonight. Santa Clara very much on the bubble. If they win, are they in? If they lose, how worried should they be? Yeah, I think tonight a win, Tim, is as good as it's punched ticket as you can get because they would then go two and one on the year against St. Mary's and of course they would then have an even higher wins above bubble right now. They're about a win and a half above sea level. They're exactly dead even with teams like St. Louis and Missouri entering today, which is a good sign, but it's not any kind of lock. And I think even a loss to St. Mary's tonight, it's not going to ding them too badly. However, with their only one win against the tournament level team being at home against St. Mary's, it's certainly leave them vulnerable for being replaced with either bit steals or bubble teams just doing something miraculous.
I was just talking to people from Cincinnati, for example, and yes, Cincinnati has a ton of work to do, but they could play Arizona on Thursday. And that's a game where, you know, just an example, but like a game where if Cincinnati were to be UCF, I think they have to be Utah first, and then they can beat Arizona. It's a huge if, but that's the kind of team that could take a place of a team like, like a Santa Clara. So certainly going to be having to sweat still all the way till Sunday because of a bunch of situations like the Bearcats have. So yeah, but when tonight, I think it's going to be almost impossible to leave the Broncos out. If the Broncos lose tonight, though, you still think that they sneak in the tournament on Sunday with so many bubble teams losing recently. Yeah, I think they're still in a good, a good spot overall, but again, certainly not a lot, certainly not anything to not be nervous about because like I said, you know, I'm already accounting for the fact that the Mount West likely will have a second team win that tournament and be a too big conference. We know about the Mac with Plano, Ohio, Miami, Ohio for my projection purposes or their tournament team.
So if anybody else in the Mac gets a win, we have the biggest where there's only three tournament teams and the other eight, you know, we just don't know. Mark, that's playing good, anything could happen out there in New York. So those are the leagues I think have the best chance for a big surprise, but you never know what the others as well, like the more power conferences, the Atlantic, 10, I think there's going to be stuck it to bits either way, just because BCU is so close to the cutoff right now that if a date or somebody wins it, they're probably taking their spot. Rocco the Mountain West tournament, obviously going to be in Vegas here this week as well, Utah State 35 and Ken Palm on the computer numbers like Utah State. To me, that resume looks really weak and the Aggies were swept by UNOV in the last by 27 here last week. And is this going to be a one bid league, you just made a reference, you think it's going to be a two bid league. If Utah State wins or loses this tournament, you feel like no doubt it's a two bid league and who's the second team.
That's not no doubt because if you don't stay when this wins this tournament, it's a one big league. That's what I thought to right. Yeah, there is a there is one pass to pay attention to. If we get a new Mexico Utah State championship being Utah State, sorry, the Lobos would likely need to be both Boise and the Aztecs, but they need that to be their path. Okay, if it's Boise in Colorado State, I don't know if it's strong enough, but but if it's Boise in the Aztecs, those are two really strong. I don't know if it's going to win to add to New Mexico. Obviously, New Mexico needs to get a lot of help from the outside tournaments, but that would be another path for a two bid league if New Mexico can sneak up and get one of those last spots, but I do think you just do the math, like Utah State is probably only what 25, maybe 30, 35% to win the tournament, I give give me the field in that event and you look, you're looking at about at least a 70% chance or higher probably that we're getting a two bid Midwest from that time. Rocco Miller, he is alive at the Orleans Arena. It's halftime Gonzaga right now leading Oregon State and still to come tonight. Rocco will be on site for Santa Clara and St. Mary's follow him on Twitter at Rocco Miller eight. Rocco, we had two teams, Punches are ticket tonight, Troy and Furman, a quick thought on those two teams. Where are they looking at seed wise? Yeah, Troy would project as a safe 14 seed. I think
it would need a little bit of help to move up to 13, but they're solid at 14. Of course, we all remember they beat San Diego State this year in an epic game and lost a USC and even more epic game, but that that at least shows the committee how dangerous this team is. They lost a little bit. They had a couple rough spots during league play, got thumbt by half state. So just a little too many warts for the Trojans to get up to a 12 or anything like that. I feel very good about them in the middle of the 14 seed section. And I think that's really good. And then for Furman, I just took a quick analysis of them so far. Right now, they have a head to head win with Queens. I think that might be the difference between 15 and 16. I think, and I think Furman just with their brand and some of the results they've had. I think they're going to be a 15. When you look at this bracket next week, and you see double digit seeds like high point Tennessee State, North Dakota State, Troy, Northern Iowa. Which teams do you think you're going to be
dangerous? You know, the trendy upset picks or the big dogs that we think can cover the number in the first round. Well, I think Northern Iowa, they might not be as big of an underdog, but the way they're playing right now, they have a top 25 defense in the country. The 21 and six with an available Tristan Smith. We so pivotal for their offensive structure and how they defend one of their elite defenders for the Panthers. And you saw what they did at arts band. This is an impressive display. They have consistent fundamentally sound basketball. I covered their gaming in St. Mary's this year. They should have beat St. Mary's. They just couldn't get a rebound late. And so that's a dangerous team of the 12. I think you go a little bit further down the list. Troy's the one I think that has actually the best potential based on the fact that they went toe to toe. They're going to have that confidence with the big teams already. So if you get a matchup like Troy against Nebraska, that's the one I really want to see because I think Troy can score with Nebraska. And that's a very realistic 314.
If Troy gets in Zagga or Iowa State, I think they're in deep trouble, but a Nebraska is probably the perfect recipe for the Trojans to have a shot. I think after that, it's just in right now. We're in a world of college basketball. It's really difficult to really top dogs to get beat. You know, Michigan State might be a team that could be a little bit holster to, you know, being in a dog fight throughout a full game. I keep it an eye on who they get in their draw. They don't look too dominant. They never have this year. They're likely to be a two-seed regardless of all that. And produce, produce leaking some oil, but I just don't think produce going to slip up because they're so fundamentally sound. And we saw what Purdue did to McNeese last year when we thought McNeese was, you know, the sexiest bell of the ball. They just basically dismissed them in about five minutes. So I do trust Purdue against the lower conference type teams. He's a psychologist, his website bracket tier.org. Make sure you check that out. He also does some great work with Field of 68. He's at the Orleans Arena right now.
A team that's kind of been a hot topic. And I'm not talking about Miami. It's Auburn, right? Bruce Pearl made those statements on TNT. I know his son came out and obviously defended their resume to this point. They've got 15 losses. They played Mississippi State in round one of the SEC tournament. Then they would play Tennessee. And if they were to win that, then they would play Vanderbilt. If they were to, how many wins, Rocco, do you think Auburn needs in order to get on the right side of the bubble? Historically speaking, Tim, all of the wins they need. They need to win the whole tournament. They need all the wins they can get in Nashville to get the automatic bad. There's never been a team in history with 16 losses. That got a bit. So the committee would have to consciously decide they're putting a team in for the first time ever with 16 losses. So that's, that's the big one. The other big one is the two games under 500 over, excuse me, two games over 500 threshold. That was done. I think by Alabama when they calling sexting, but that calling sexting team won't beat like three number one seeds.
And this Auburn has not done that. They won at Florida, which is very good. That is a number one seed now. They have the hardest schedule. So they do have those things going for them. But I think for them to even get two games over 500, they need to get at least to the third game, maybe the fourth game this week. That's probably way too much to ask for a team that just quite honestly has been bad. You know, I think, I think if the committee would ever do it, if we're kind of in an era where now they might, so I can't completely count Auburn out because the SEC rules the college sports landscape. We saw Texas get in last year for no reason. Like they had no business getting in last year. And there's a lot of strong SEC politics in that room. So if it's going to happen, like this would be the time in history to do it. But if you look at Auburn against Ole Miss, that's the game that convinced me for once and for all this team has no business going to the tournament. I think Ole Miss went one in 11 and their last 12 games of the season. And their only win was Adolf. They came home and lost a South Carolina after that win. And so there's no business putting Auburn in the field. I think they have to win the whole tournament.
That's, I'm going to stick to that as a projection because we have so much precedent. But I'm holding my breath because if we see Auburn's name, I'm going to be live on the air with Jeff Goodman on field of 68. And I might be dropping a net bomb. I've never done that before, but this might be the first. Hey, Rocco, no F bombs tonight. We appreciate it. Enjoy the games and we'll talk to you soon. Appreciate you guys. Thank you so much. Juice like orange juice real are EEL what a finish Matt humans in Oklahoma city Matt what are the number of clothes in Oklahoma city tonight. Well, if you were here at circuit close three if you were at draft Kings three and a half of you were betting there bet MGM three and a half South point three and a half Superbook and Westgate three. The number does matter every half point matters. You know that if you bet the Michigan State Michigan game yesterday and if you bet Denver OKC tonight. SGA drops in a three with two seconds ago. Thunder when the game 129 126 but what happened before that talk about a wild finish in OK. It was 123 122 SGA hits a three to make it 126 122 Matt the next possession down Nicole Yoke is top of the arc hits a three. Jalen Williams racing out to defend the three runs over my Canadian cousin Jamal Murray.
That's a foul three good Jamal Murray makes the free throw. They come back down after the time out SGA gets the ball in his hands step back three. Nothing but net Denver didn't have a time out Aaron Gordon full court he doesn't come up with a bucket 129 126 the final score. You said earlier in the show Nicole Yoke is a walking triple double. Well you got a triple double tonight 32 points 14 rebounds 13 assists and shake ill just Alexander. What a bum no triple double tonight Matt 35 points 15 assists no turnovers nine rebounds. That's a game to lived up to the hype tonight you know it's some of these NBA games you can live without but that's one of those must see matchups. Western conference playoffs going to be great thunder tonight get the upper hand on the nuggets but the playoffs I tell you the spurs I believe are 15 to one in their last 16 games.
Alien is I mean when you got Victor Wemba Nyama Yoke it's SGA battling it out in the Western conference man going to be great buckle up that is going to be a whole lot of fun. Anthony Edwards doesn't stink either he's in the Western conference tonight Tim Hardaway junior eight for 12 from three and the nuggets still come up short. You look at this nuggets box score tonight you know how did that team lose. Quick update Matt from the world baseball classic the United States had a pair of home runs in the second inning from Aaron judge and Roman Anthony Mexico has countered with two runs the line was three and a half but right now the United States in the bottom of the six with Bryce Harper at the plate are up five to two the live run line is five and a half the total is 11 and a half. This is at draft Kings and that live number was 11 or excuse me that total was 11 at close what was the final line on that Paul schemes tonight Paul
schemes went for innings tonight one hit no runs one walk seven strikeouts for Paul schemes last year's NL saw young winner. So Paul schemes pretty strong in his debut not a great performance from Matthew Boyd of the Cubs is to give up a couple of runs in at the top of the six so five to United States leading and that would be good for Aaron Moore as he has already got one leg of his parlay home with high point winning the conference tournaments in the big south Matt quick update from Gonzaga and Oregon state and this game went off at around 21 as the point spread and Oregon state gives him credit after a really big sluggish start their battling here live number is 22 and a half but 42 to 28 is the score the lead for the Zags over Oregon state believe it is 17 straight wins in the opening round of the west coast conference tournament for Gonzaga. That's not too surprising.
Title game every year Gonzaga not that impressive offensively tonight I mean defense is getting its job done but offensively the Zags lacking a little bit here tonight 42 28 early second half beavers are hanging around no threat to win the game but they are threat to cover the number closing number of 21 here at circa. And I want to update people real quickly the colonial or sorry the coastal athletic tournament the CAA got flipped on its head yesterday as Campbell the fighting camels beat UNC Wilmington the one seed by 15 and then the two seed college of Charleston lost a Towson the seven seed by 25 so the top two seeds Adios earlier today Monmouth beat Campbell and I believe that was the best bet from our buddy Aaron Moore and right now the Towson Tigers and the Hofstra pride are tied at 44 with eight and a half minutes to go in the semifinals of the CAA Hofstra is a slight one and a half point in game favorite over the Towson Tigers right now
winner advances the face of the Monmouth Hawks right is correct Robert Morris up on Detroit 2321 five minutes to go in the first half now horizon league semi in Indianapolis and the winner goes on to see right state tomorrow in that contest still to come tonight Santa Clara and St. Mary's just kind of rehashing what Rocco Miller said regarding Santa Clara a win tonight he said puncher ticket they're going to the NCAA tournament which I think is which is what we both said a loss then it gets sweaty and I think the big thing that Rocco tried to point out regarding Santa Clara losing this game tonight is the bid thieves right you look at the Mountain West Matt conference tournament that we could hit on here if Utah state doesn't win that conference tournament probably a bit the situation New Mexico's got a chance as Rocco stated even if they were to lose to Utah state maybe to get in you look at the Atlantic 10 VCU very much on the bubble St. Louis they're a lot to get in and then also the Mac if Akron were to beat Miami of Ohio or Miami Ohio let's just say loses before the Mac
championship ultimately that would be a too big lead because Rocco and then many others believe that Miami wrapping up the regular season 31 or no is going to get into my amy's in now I do think Miami's in and now you look at the Mountain West so you and LV is in the eight nine game rebels are hot right now just swept the number one seed Utah state beat the Aggies by 27 last week and Vegas the winner of the UNLV Wyoming game faces Utah state also in that half of the bracket Nevada Air Force and Grand Canyon bottom half of the bracket San Diego states the two New Mexico's the three Colorado state won eight in a row before a very disappointing loss to Boise on Saturday as a popular play in the circuit college he most popular and the Rams got run out of the building and Fort Collins that was disappointing but there's still a one eight of nine they're playing San Diego state most likely in the
second round then you're going to have you would think Boise New Mexico and the bottom half of that bottom half of that brackets tough man. To the team like UNLV at about 40 to one odds make a run. Here's the thing you'd have to beat Utah state three times to get there. I thought it's awful tempting I'll tell you what UNLV's athletic ability just overwhelmed Utah state in that game last week and you can see why the rebels defeated the Aggies of both meetings this season but I find it hard to believe they're going to do it again. I watched UNLV's San Diego state on Friday night and that's a game where Aztecs were 10 point favorites line dropped to nine and a half I think a tip of UNLV was the right side the entire way and rebels were a major threat to win that game outright as a nine and a half 10 point dogs in San Diego this UNLV team is actually we talk about peaking at the right time there's no doubt to him that you know these peaking at the right time but can you trust just pastors team in the tournament no you can't.
Can you take 40 to one maybe it's worth a shot. Yeah now make sure you look around right I'm just looking at circus circus got a 25 to one on UNLV bandua's got 45 to one right. I saw that today draft draft Kings has 45 to one. I want to point this out so there are six seats of their plan on Thursday but you alluded to Boise State Boise State Matt since February 1st is the best team in the Mountain West per the metrics 28th in the country per Bart Torvich is seven to one at circa enough to treat you on Boise State. I actually think that's where the rollover would money line rollover would be better because you got to beat San Jose then you got to beat New Mexico then you're going to have to be either Colorado state or San Diego state and then you're going to have to win the championship game that's four rounds so I don't think there's any value with that number do you know that's a great point right there because after San Jose State every game is going to be a short spread for Boise State.
So the Mountain West I just feel like Matt who that is going to be a wildly unpredictable conference tournament. No question but the top half of the bracket's much easier. Yeah I agree. And the bottom half is brutal because Colorado state San Diego state New Mexico and Boise State are all really good teams in that bottom portion of the bracket. Yeah the night slate starting Thursday night nine o'clock Eastern into the late night game that is going to be a ton of fun. Speaking of college hoops are Hoops Mania special going on right now over at Vsyn.com 29 99 everything we have to offer through may first Vsyn.com slash subscribe also includes our March Mania guide. Oregon state showing some life at the Orleans. This is Vsyn prime time on Vsyn the sports betting network.
It is Vsyn prime time alongside Matt and humans. I'm Tim Murray tell you what Wayne Tinkle squad they're fighting for a mat. They're trying to get him a stunning upset in his final well wouldn't be a final game if they were to pull the upset there. It is right now at the under I think we're at the under 16 media time out let me double check we're at but Oregon state showing a little bit of life under 12 media time out 48 37. And I believe this is the first time tonight that I've seen the live line be under the preflop line down to 16 and a half. Well the the beavers. I made a run here in the second half and like you and I were talking about this during the break against Zagga has not been very impressive offensively in this game tonight. Zags were good defensively in the first half but the offense this really hasn't been clicking. And it's kind of goes back to some of my concerns with Gonzaga. When you talk about team that can make a deep run in the tournament I'm not sure if I see it I don't see enough offensively from this team. And I think Braden Huff is definitely missed.
I'm not sure if I like Gonzaga going into tomorrow night well what from what I'm seeing here. This is a 21 point favorite right now up by 11 but just not very impressive and wasn't very impressive again. The Zags got steamrolled in a second half of that game by Saint Mary's week ago on Saturday night. Yeah it mentioned it Gonzaga has not lost in the first round since 2008. They'll be a significant favorite probably going to be on a four or five line. But this team is not one that I think you or me or many will look at dancing to this sweet 16 Matt last year. One easily in the first round in that eight nine game and remember they actually battled with Houston in that second round. All right. Ultimately came up just shy. Zags right now two for 11 from three ten. And that's the thing the three point shooting has not been there tonight. That's allowing Oregon State to hang around here down 11 with 11 and a half minutes to go.
Matt there's another one going on right now in the CAA. This is a neutral court game. One of the conference tournaments I think is silly that it's in Washington DC. There's like no atmosphere at all at these games but regardless we saw Towson yesterday. Beat college at Charleston by 25 in the quarters. And right now Pat scary's Towson Tigers up by two over Hofstra Matt Towson has not made it to the NCAA tournament since 1991. Is that right? Yeah. Pat scary has been at Towson since 2011 year one they went one in 31. Couple years ago Matt they went 25 and nine they were the one seed in the CAA but did not punch their ticket to the dance. And right now as the seven seed we will see if they can pull off the win today over Hofstra. The winner of this game moves on to take on Monmouth in the CAA championship game tomorrow in Washington DC 13 point lead for the Zags.
We got the horizon lead semifinals going on right now. The winner will take on the one seed right state and a good one kind of like we anticipated very closely contested. Bobby Mo leading by one over Detroit and how about Oregon state about those beavers. They are not going away. Drop a three to pull within 10 with 10 minutes to go 50 to 40. Robert Morris up 34 33 final seconds of the horizon league semi and I believe we got a foul call and that's going to be a three shot foul for Bobby Mo. All right Matt tomorrow by the way quick update from the world baseball classic United States still up five to two over Mexico. The run line if you're wondering was three and a half big second inning from the US and nothing since. Now Raleigh just hit a shot down the right field line to look like a Homer but a drifted foul by a couple of feet to run Homer from Aaron judge and Roman Anthony a three run Homer.
Those both came in the second inning Paul schemes with spectacular four scoreless seven strikeouts USA leading five to in pool play as they look to advance out of this pool against. Joe and a handful of others they are two and no in that pool Matt tomorrow was got some of the big boys and then let's start the big 12. How about early morning hoops 11 30 local 9 30 R time Arizona state and Baylor Arizona state a three and a half point dog and Bobby Hurley I'm glad you started here because of according to reports he's going to be done. He's out he's out so he'll be coaching in the morning and he might be done by noon but we'll see Baylor a three and a half point favorite this games in Kansas City like you said. Big 12 tournament I'm see this is a tricky handicap here I think these players do like Bobby Hurley and they know this could be his last game.
The players come out and give a hell of an effort here in support of their coach like they did you know week or so go in the upset Kansas and tempi. I'm intrigued here about the kind of like this Baylor team quite a bit it's a decent Baylor team. Let's do the sun devil show up here and give a great effort for Bobby Hurley and what they think is they know is going to be either his last game or his last week as coach. I'm tempted to bet the tempi underdog here. Yeah, I would agree with that. Got a couple other interesting spots we got Cincinnati up to an 11 and a half point favorite. Very much on the bubble. I was going to say I think right now they're on the last four in the list right. West Miller has done a deserves a lot of credit for how they've turned things around this season BYU what a win it was. By the way if you're unaware Matt foreign one week hit his best bet and B.D. And he had BYU as one of his best bets ten and a half point favorite against Kansas state tomorrow.
In case in Kansas City, but as we all know Jerome Tang is already bye bye as their head coach and case state just got blown out by Kansas at Allen Field House but what's interesting here is I talked with you on your Saturday morning show about that I thought that BYU spot was a really good one Saturday night. That was a circle to wagons game. They've had a really rough you know month or so. Richie Saunders out with the injury and BYU. I think was going into that game over the three and eight and last eleven or something like that really been struggling. So I thought that awful road trip where he went to West Virginia loss lost the Cincinnati. I thought that was a spot Saturday night where they would pull it together to get a win over a Texas tech team to don't forget without JT top and the ceiling is not as high for the red raiders. Well neither the second half come back but we got it from BYU. I don't trust BYU in ten and a half here. It's too big of a number in case states got pseudo home court advantage. I know their fans don't give a damn about this tournament.
Their season shot the hell but still you're playing in your backyard catching ten and a half in Kansas City. The game tomorrow that that I would say intrigues me the most is the late night game. Colorado and Oklahoma state Matt Colorado Tad Boyle Squad. How about their performance on Saturday as a home dog. They were in that game until the bitter end ultimately lost by ten did get the cover. They're a slight favorite here against the pokes. I'm sorry. Yeah, Arizona. Slight favorite against Oklahoma state here. One one and a half they beat Oklahoma state just a couple weeks ago by 14 at home. Yeah, I don't know. I'm probably going to throw this one out. I don't I don't have the field for this one when I looked at these first four games in the big 12. The only one that really interests me was maybe Arizona state as a dog. Arizona state has mentioned a right now a three and a half point dog against Baylor.
You know, you look at the ACC which is next on the rotation. You got pit Stanford. These games were in Charlotte. The early game is pit Stanford with the card delay in five and a half. Sir, very much on the bubble too. Yeah, how about this next one? Syracuse SMU. I believe SMU is on the bubble and SMU is the 11 seed in this tournament. Yeah. Yeah, the ACC is funky this year. I mean, Virginia Tech on the bubble. SMU on the bubble, Stanford on the bubble. All these teams playing on Tuesday night. The ACC, I guess you can call it deep. I don't know if you want. I don't know. I can't believe the 11 seed in the ACC tournaments on the right side of the bubble right now. I mean, the 12 seed, I think in Virginia Tech, you got the odds up here. SMU minus two dollars to make the NCAA tournament and they're the 11 seed taken on Syracuse. What's also kind of fascinating, Matt, when you have these games, you've got Pittsburgh who is going to fire Jeff Capel.
Yeah. And you've got Syracuse who's going to fire Red Autry similar to the Danny Herbabi Hurley situation. Excuse me. Do you get inspired efforts from either Pittsburgh or Syracuse in what will be empty? It's going to be zero atmosphere tomorrow in Charlotte for those games. That's a good point because when you look at the teams are playing pit Stanford Syracuse SMU. Those first two games, nobody's going to show up for those games. You might have some wake in Virginia Tech fans show up for the last game. That is possible. Yeah. Hey, just reminder, folks, this is our a visa and primetime being brought to you by Juice Real. Download Juice Reel. Today alongside Matt Newman's, I'm Tim Murray, 654 to go in our prime time game of the night at the Orlean Zarina here in Las Vegas, Gonzaga, a 16 point lead. 18. Oh, Grammy case going to make both of his free throws here to make it an 18 point lead Matt still to come tonight at that arena. Santa Clara and St Mary is the number getting a little close to five. We see some juiced four and a halfs out there. I have a small play on the Broncos. Do I love it? I'll be honest, not really, but I do have Santa Clara plus the four and a half. These two teams split the regular season series. I also have a Santa Clara to miss the NCAA tournament bet. It's not a full on middle attempt because Santa Clara could still get in with a loss. But if they win this game, they are absolutely in. So a small bet for me on Santa Clara plus four and a half. I know no bet for you, but any thoughts on St Mary's and Santa Clara? Yeah, I'm tempted to play Santa Clara.
But I said I wanted to get five and a half. So maybe I'll lie bet this game and play the dog at some point. I actually like to waste Santa Clara play the last night. But again, St Mary's is a better on team for me too. I like both coaches, Herb Sendeck, Randy Bennett. These are two of my favorite veteran coaches. I think St Mary's is going to be alive against Gonzaga tomorrow night. If the Gales win tonight, I think they're going to be alive to beat the Zags on Tuesday night. By the way, things getting a little sweaty in Houston. The United States led five to nothing in the second inning. Homer's from Aaron Judge and Roman Anthony. No run since for the United States. And Matthew Boy just gave up a Homer in the top of the eighth inning. It is five three. Mexico has a man on first as well. And that live line still minus 1400. But the run line. Remember close three and a half. It is down to one and a half. And also the total close to 11. That is down to nine and a half. The United States. A five three lead right now over Mexico in Houston.
Part of pool play there. I believe Cody Decker when he came on with us in the first hour tonight said, this could be a tight game tonight that Mexico is going to be competitive. Couple updates before we take a look once again to tomorrow. By the way, Dustin Sweetleson coming up next. He's going to have a full college basketball game to watch. Santa Clara and St Mary's and that's a very good one. Going on in Washington DC a conference tournament that has been wacky. Hofstra three point lead over Towson. The pride now a minus 1600 favorite over Towson. Matt the last time Hofstra made the NCAA tournament back in 2001. So long time ago for Hofstra has not been to the tournament since 2001. Once part of time Jay Wright was the head coach. I remember remember that by the way, Zags knocked down a three. And it's now 61 43 18 point game was six minutes to go. Why blind Zags 20 and a half Tim right back where he started.
Oregon States going to get fouled and get a free throw here. So this game basically right on the number with six minutes left and one last update. Matt we've got the horizon Lee semi finals going on. Robert Morris say 36 33 lead over Detroit. Live number four and a half that game closed four and a half. Funny how that works out winner will take on right state tomorrow. We had Rocco Miller on the program asked him about the two teams that punched their ticket to the NCAA tournament tonight. Matt he said Troy should be on the 14 line and Furman he believes probably on the 15 15 16 line. The paladins get the win over East Tennessee State tonight as the Southern conference championship. Matt elsewhere across the board tomorrow anything immediately jump out to you. Let's talk about the big Tim because you got two games one at 2 p.m. Pacific. The other of 4 30 first game does interest me here. I don't like to play many favorites in these conference.
Tournament settings but Oregon the lane three and a half to Maryland and it looks like this chirps team. Is a dead bed against team and you know what since Nate Biddle came back to ducks. I've definitely had to arrow pointing in the right direction. I would probably play Oregon or pass in that first game in the big 10 tomorrow Maryland showed a little bit of life in the regular season finale. But sometimes you wonder Matt if that was it for the year it's been a disaster. Have to ask Scott Van Peltis but I think this might be the worst Maryland team in recent memory and maybe in history. I don't know 11 and 20 4 and 16 first year under Buzz Williams has been a nightmare. I agree. I like this way. The white the way Oregon has been playing as of late and we're showing three a four on the screen. Get the three and a half if you do like the ducks. How about the finish to the Oregon Washington game a foul in the corner on Washington. They make all three free throws and then Oregon gets an and one three pointer to get the win by one over the weekend.
Crazy game Oregon beats Washington by a final in overtime in that one. So that was 85 79 actually that was. It's hard to even describe how that came finished. It was so bizarre what all the stuff that happened we don't have time to recap at all. But the ducks have actually gone let's see four and three in their last seven games and that was a they were one in 12 in the big 10. After a blowout loss at Indiana. Oregon is actually bounce back to win four the next seven and that obviously coincides with Nate Biddle returning. In fact, Biddle had 23 points and that come back game against Purdue. He's a big part of what the ducks do and a big reason why they have played better down the stretch. Don't forget that's Oregon team beat Wisconsin by 14 in Eugene. What about 10 days ago. By the way, Towson has tied it up in the CAA semi finals. That game now tied it 55. So the Tigers tie things up Matt.
I do have a bet tomorrow. And maybe I'm in over my skis as I'm going to the Northeast conference. But we have arguably the stupidest rule in sports in effect tomorrow night. That's a lot of dumb rules. And there's a lot of dumb rules. This along with no bowl games for one or two years. But Mercyhurst is in the second year of transitioning from D2 to D1. And they have made it all the way to the conference championship. And you know what folks they're not eligible to go to the NCAA tournament. So L.I.U. celebrated after a semi final win. They are in no matter what happens. They could lose by 100 points. The sharks of L.I.U. I believe I believe Rod Strickland is their coach. I'm going to take Mercyhurst here plus six and a half. Mercyhurst beat L.I.U. just a couple of weeks ago. I was texting with a friend of the show Jim Root earlier today asking him some thoughts on this game.
He actually likes the matchup for Mercyhurst against L.I.U. These two teams played January 8th. L.I.U. won by two at home. And then as mentioned, Mercyhurst beat L.I.U. on February 21st. Showtime Lakers. You know what? I like this Mercyhurst. I like this too. Actually because it's not a pick them by the way. It's not a pick him is six and a half. You catch in a number here and all the motivations with Mercyhurst. Right. You got a point to prove we're going to win the conference tournament. The sharks are already in. So I think that the you're going to see the Lakers play with an edge in this game. Yes. So give me Mercyhurst. Let's go to the Northeast Conference. This will be played at Long Island, one of three conferences that actually play on home floors. As we saw over the weekend, doesn't always matter because maybe lost in a devastating fashion at the buzzer to Boston University. End of regulation, Matt, in the CAA, Towson and Hofstra tied at 55. We're headed over time in the nation's capital.
Wow. What a game there between Towson and Hofstra. We still have some games going on. How about starch madness? That's the big sky. I just want to mention quickly this game going over time at 55, 110 points. The total was 132 and a half. Oh boy. How sick would you be if you bet this under and it goes over? And over to hopefully it still stays under in the OT if you bet it under anyway. What was the game you mentioned? We got starch madness going on right now. The big sky. We saw the to see getting knocked off yesterday earlier tonight. Montana, the Northern Colorado right now, Eastern Washington, a Weber state will get the semifinals of that conference tournament tomorrow. But yes, tomorrow, Matt, the big 12 starts, the ACC starts, the big 10 starts for you right now. You're looking at the dog in Arizona state and might be intrigued at the favorite in Oregon versus Maryland. Yeah, I'm going to do a little bit more work on these. I'm going to try to come up with some best bets on futures to conference tournament futures when study the brackets and all the stuff.
But you and I have gone through pretty much all the conference tournaments tonight. And I have a pretty good idea what I'm going to do. But I'll put up a story beat up early in the morning on Vsend.com with breakdowns. Maybe some best bets for conference tournaments. One one that I'm looking at, Matt, and I think you're going to disagree. What's up? You see Santa Barbara. It's been a disappointing year for the Gouchos. I like the the draw that they have at the bottom portion of the big West plus eight 50 to win the big West. They would have to win four games in four days, though, as they avoid do not get a buy. But that is one that I'm looking at best bet for you. Tomorrow, the Lakers of Mercyhurst plus six and a half against L.I.U. Let's go Santa Clara. Hopefully you cover, but don't win tonight. Should be a fun one. And guess what? Dustin Sweetlson will have you covered all the way through that contest. Thanks everyone who joined the show. Thanks to Corey and our production team for Matt humans. I'm Tim Murray. Coming up next. Dustin Sweetlson with Caching Out right here on Vsend.D SportsBending Network.
