Let's go places. That's pure automotive joy. I'm Peter, the owner of Musclecar Junior. It started as a hobby, then I started posting about it. Live from the circus sportsbook in downtown Las Vegas on V.S. and the sports betting network. alongside mad humans, I'm Tim Murray coming up in 40 minutes. Our V.S. in primetime game in the night. The New York Yankees up in the Pacific Northwest, taken on the Seattle Mariners. Good start to the season for the Yankees three and O out in the Bay. And tonight they are slight favorites over the Seattle Mariners. Matt, a best bet from Will Hill over five and a half strikeouts for Ryan Weathers. So the Yankee fan riding with the Yankees starter and Dustin sweetlson also with the Yankees
got him at a better number than the market. As right now, around minus 116 to minus 120 or so on the New York Yankees. Yeah, Ryan Weathers not Carl Weathers and part of the great rocky movies. That was, that was a sad day when Carl Weathers, when his character died in the Rocky movies. You recall that. If he dies, he dies. That's what the Russians said, right? Right. He must die. I cannot be defeated until Rocky beats you on Christmas day in Russia. I mean, it was all fun and games that the robot watching his kid. That's wrong with the robot. Watch the kid. That was, I love that movie, but that was a sad part of the movie where Carl Weathers drove the damn town. Yeah, shut it on the town. You know, earlier in the show, we were talking about the Halloween movie, Halloween movie series. Do you remember what town and Illinois, Michael Myers, terrorized? And do you remember the name of the doctor? You know, start off with trivia this
hour. If we had gone rocky trivia, it would have felt much better. I, it's like, Illinois fighting line. I theme. I thought we would mention the hometown of Michael Myers in the Halloween movies. I will, I will put the hand up. I have not seen the Hollywood. Hadden Field, Illinois. Oh, there's a Hadden Field, New Jersey. Well, this was Hadden Field, Illinois. And Dr. Loomis. Remember Dr. Loomis? I don't, because I never seen the movies. Okay. But you're missing out. Not a big scary movie. But the line I in the final four for the first time in a long time. What a transition. Well, 2005. Yep. That bill self was a bill self was coach. That was Bruce Weber. Bruce Weber. That's right. Well, a frequent guest with Dustin Sweetles on a cashing out. So Bruce Weber, coach at a line I team, he inherited some great players on that team, by the way, and took him to the national championship game of Austin, North Carolina in 2005. Say what? The atmosphere inside Lucas Oil on Saturday night with those fan bases, Yukon, Illinois, Illinois, as you alluded to, hasn't been to the final four in over two decades.
Arizona hasn't been in two and a half decades. That's amazing, too. Think about that's what went that graphic, because I knew it'd been a long drop for Arizona. We're talking about 2001, right? Yep. 2001. 2001. Arizona's only been to five final fours in its history. Lost some points. They lost two Duke in the national title. It just feels like Arizona's been the more final fours in that, doesn't it? Yeah. No doubt. But Tommy Lloyd able to get his squad there. But the big story from over the weekend, of course, was the ending of that Yukon, Illinois game, Yukon, getting pretty comfortable in the final four, as this will be the third time and four years under Danny Hurley that they have gotten to the final four. They have been on a insane covering stretch, 17 of their last 18 NCAA tournament games have led you to cover town. If you bet the Yukon Huskies, John Rothstein of CBS Sports, pretty excited about what we saw
on Sunday night in Washington, DC. Do you understand what just happened in the shorts? We are all together right now as brothers for life. This is a Christian Latener 92 tight moment. We were together for this. We are going to be talking about this for the rest of our lives, just like we remember Duke beating Yukon in 90, just like we remember Duke beating Kentucky in 92. This is a March madness memory. This is one of the greatest endings in the history of the NCAA tournament. And it was Yukon Duke in the elite eight to go to the final four. Think about right now for as great as Duke has been the last years and they've been great. Cooper flag, Can Booser, Duke has been taken to the pit of despair, not once, but twice in the NCAA tournament. We were together on that court last year. The three of us, when Duke blew the lead against Houston, this game was dead meat and Yukon, obviously, is a reflection of their head coach, not giving in, not succumbing,
chipping away, chipping away, missing three point shots, and then off a broken play, Silas Demory missed the free throw. They had it to two. The ball is just hanging out there. This was like, what was in the Steelers, the Immaculate Recession? A text in Matt yesterday. Tip time in this game was what about two o'clock our time? I think it was like two o' five our time, five o' five at the east. I texted Matt, I got the time stamp, two sixteen. I said, I should give up on Duke under toast in five minutes. Your response dead dogs all weekend, expletive. I didn't really like Tennessee, but I liked the others. You know, Matt, I gave up hope. You gave up hope. Did I spell the word, X will live correctly? You spelled the expletive correctly. You do not send the word expletive. I was doing everything I can to reverse jinx Yukon in the cover yesterday, because man, that did not look good. Got home.
You got home there. Yukon found a way. And now they are in the final four. How about Yukon six championships since 1999? Yeah. Six championships. And two in the last four years. It could be three in the last four years. If they can win this week, get by Illinois in the winner of Arizona Michigan, which is a tall task. But again, Danny Hurley's got some magic in March. And that shot last night by Braylon Mullins. And again, Isaiah Evans, I believe, was a, if we're calling a defender for Duke. He did not even put a hand up to contest it. Did he think he wasn't going to shoot it? I think he was looking at the clock at the other end of the four to see how much time has left. I don't know. It's weird. He didn't contest it. But I mean, that's the biggest shot in the tournament since Chris Jenkins hit the three for Villanova Jenkins for the champion chip. How about that? How great was that? That was in the, the toss back. That was in 2018. No, no, excuse me. That was in the, that was in 2016. That was Jay Wright's first championship against
North Carolina. Yeah. Let's take a look at the odds movement we've seen. And we've got, I think every team here, this is from Draft King's Yukon started the tournament, started the year, excuse me, 14 to one. Prior to the first round, Matt, you could have gone at 25 to one. It was highest 30 at a couple books before round of eight 19 to one. And they go down to plus five 50s. So some good tickets. And that's why we talked about a handful of sportsbooks out there that really don't want to see Yukon win this national championship. Circuit doesn't want it. It was interesting. Johnny didn't seem Johnny Avello from Draft King's when he joined us last hour, Matt. Didn't seem, he said it was a small loser, but didn't seem like this was a that big of a loss if it were to be Yukon. Well, I think what we've information we've gathered from books is that most books are going to lose on Yukon, but be okay with the other teams. Illinois be a little bit of a loss, maybe a break even type situation. And believe it or not,
Arizona and Michigan would be big wins on the futures board for most sportsbooks this week. But I've got a little action on Yukon. I got about a 15 to one, about a 16 to one. I've had for quite a while, but it's funny. You make those bets because you think, well, this might be the best I get in the market this year. And then before the tournament, Yukon's 25 to one. After a couple losses to St. John's and things weren't looking so hot for the Huskies, headed into the first week of the tournament. But right now, plus five 50, if you want to bet, Yukon, and it's the longest of odds of the four teams. It's funny. When you look at this and this tweet that a DK insights put out earlier today, the team that had the shortest odds going into the season now has the longest odds. And that's Yukon. Yukon preseason was 14 to one. Arizona was 30 to one. And I do know a couple people. I think our boss, Steve Cohen, who is an Arizona alum after Arizona beat Florida here in Vegas to start the year,
jumped in on a Arizona ticket. It may have been a homer bet, but regardless, good bet to have in pocket. 30 to one at open. Plus 380 prior to the start of the dance. And now plus 175 Michigan, you got a really good number on Michigan. But not the best met. 45 to one was the opening price at Draft Kings for Michigan. Plus 370 prior to the start of the tournament. Plus 175 now. And Illinois was the longest of all of them at 70 to one. And the funny thing is, you mentioned that you buy these tickets, you buy these futures and you hope you're getting the best of it. I got Illinois at 15 to one. And like two weeks later, I could have got a better number. And I didn't feel great about Illinois at the time. So I didn't reinvest. Could have got them 25 to one prior to the start of the dance. And now they're down to four to one. And they're a betting favorite heading into the final four against Yukon. Yeah, I looked in the I bet Michigan on May 28th, the 20 to one. And that was when I saw the roster of the
Dusty May was putting together. I said, okay, he can win it all with this roster. So I was a long time ago. I bet that one. Yeah, that was a good foresight by you. And then they came out to what were they? We were talking about it back in November. Didn't the Westgate go down to like under three to one on Michigan? Yeah. Oh, yeah. In November. I was like plus 250 at one point. That was Michigan one by 30, 40, 40 back to back days blew out what San Diego State Auburn and Gonzaga. Yeah. I think back to back days and beat the Zags by 40, right? 101 to 61. And now here they are. Two losses in the regular season to Wisconsin and Duke and lost in the big 10 championship game to Purdue. And now a heavyweight battle in the national semifinal Arizona taking on Michigan. Number one, number two in Ken Palm. Most of the advanced analytic sites have it that way, Matt. And that's why we've got a spread of one and a half
right now in favor of Michigan. Yeah. And I know some people are going to say wrong team is favored. You're going to hear that a couple times from some handy cappers are going to make a case or a towel. It's going to make a case for Arizona this week. I'm not going to argue that. I think the right numbers won either way. I slightly favor Michigan, but if you want to make a strong case for Arizona, it's hard really to argue. I think that's it's essentially a coin flip type of game. Both these teams top five in both offensive and defensive efficiency. Two best teams in the country will meet late Saturday night in Indianapolis. Let me get your attention real quick podcast listeners. It's March, which means the madness is officially upon us. And the folks at Visa have really gone crazy with this one. I'm being told for just $29.99. You can get unlimited access to Visa and Pro through May 1st. I'm talking picks through the tournament public betting data for every single game plus sharp tools projections
articles and more. But here's the thing. There's already a ton up on the site for champ week, which means every day you wait is an opportunity missed. Just click the link in the description to get started. It's March baby. All right. Now back to the show. It is Vsign Prime Time. Not a good start. If you are on the Boston Red Sox, the Houston Astros have played it three runs. In the fourth inning, they now lead three nothing over the Boston Red Sox. So that game underway our prime time game of the night Yankees Mariners will get started
later on this hour. Matt, you've been the T-Mobile Park. Yeah, formerly known as Safeco Park. Have not. I would like to see a baseball game up there, but it's been a long time. I've not been to Seattle for, I don't know how many years, 30 years. Never been. One of the two states, Matt, Washington and Oregon that I've never been to. Been to other 48. Need to get up to live out here and you need a Pacific Northwest. They made an easy trip. Do both those states round it out, all 50. So you've been to 48 states. 48 states. I've been to 49. You know which one I have not been. Alaska Alaska. That's great. The great frontier. I think about jumping on Alaska Airlines. Somebody just find out there so I can check off number 50. Got to. I can see you, Matt, you seem like a Alaskan cruise type of guy. You sitting out there watching some glaciers. I'm not taking another cruise. Not like Chris the bear for making that going to cruise every three months. The last time I was on a cruise, I could not wait to get the hell off the ship by about the third. You know, usually going to ports. You get off. You go around the little towns. No.
You did that in Mexico. But again, it's kind of a hassle. And then you're trapped on a boat with a bunch of people you really don't like in general. You don't know if you're going to like him or not turns out you're probably going to be on a boat with a bunch of people you don't like. As we get into a slower time in the year, I'm just going to find different things that piss Matt off. But I'm going to be like cruise ships. Oh, let me tell you about. I have to do it once, but I'm probably not going to do it again. But yes, not terrible, but it's not something I want to highly recommend you get on a flight and head up to Alaska. I was a big fan of Juno, the state capital. I thought that was a cool city anchorage. Yeah, it was fine. There's a lot of neat things up there. Catch a can pretty cool right on the water. Did some did some kayaking and catch a can. But two states left, man, need to get to Washington and Oregon. Maybe I'll go up to the police catch out a game on the border of Idaho there with Washington state. I can do that. All right, Matt. Actually, you should see a football game of Husky State. I would love that. I would really want to do that. So I am going to, I think I'm going to catch a game.
I'm going to go to, uh, I'm going to level Edward Stadium this year. Notre Dame BYU October 17th. That's really cool stadium right there on the mountain side. That's one of the, I think most scenic views of all the college football outside of Levelle, Edward Stadium just because of that mountain setting up there in Provo. It's, uh, that's Notre Dame BYU. What's the date? October 17th. Oh, that's cool. I'm like, it was like game as well. Easy drive was like five hours. You can fly up to Salt Lake City. Yeah, I'd probably fly. It's driving up there. But fly into Salt Lake City. It's about a one-hour drive down to Provo. That's a big time game. That's huge game. I said Notre Dame played nobody but cupcakes. Well, I was told that. And then I got a, a tweet telling me that, uh, someone was big on Miami this year. There'll be a preseason top 10 team. Believe it or not, Notre Dame plays them too, Matt. Really? Huh? Interesting. That was the easiest schedule in the world. It games in South Bend. You know what? I think we should go to that one. I was also probably Wisconsin. Don't think play SMU preseason top 25 team. I got a couple other easy ones. I will say
it's not the, not the most toxic schedule, but those games are going to be challenging. Uh, Texas Tech on the other hand. Check it. Take a look at that schedule. Yikes. Uh, win total 11 and a half for both Texas. Every college football team out there, including Indiana, as about three or four cupcakes on the schedule. Oh, for sure. Texas Tech is about 11. What's Indiana's nine comfort schedule? Uh, they take on, oh, they got one that I thought would have been interesting. I know you're still doing the college football betting podcast here at BCN every week. They played in North Texas, but not as, uh, would have been fun. Of last year's Texas team was playing them, but, uh, yeah, but Indiana's, yeah, they got some, I think, um, sometime in the middle of October, they play Ohio State. That'll be, uh, that'll be a big time showdown, uh, no doubt. Matt, still to come. Why don't you babble here for about 20 more seconds? I'm going to call up the, uh, Indiana schedule. But you're still doing that podcast. I am. The latest episode is out. We talk some win totals with our friend,
Joshua Nunn, step on a duck over at Action Network. So he's already filed away a couple of, favorite win totals for unders for the duck, uh, already, including Penn State under, which might some price of people considering their schedule is relatively manageable this year. No Ohio State, no Oregon, no Indiana. So Indiana's nine comfort schedule is North Texas, Howard, come on. Hey, Howard owners of one of the biggest upsets in college football history came out to UNLV as of what 41 point underdog and beat the rebels. That was a 20 years ago. Yeah, uh, I don't know, 15, 20 years ago. Western Kentucky. Oh, the Hill toppers. North Texas Howard Western Kentucky. There must be a game missing on here somewhere. No, you got nine conference games now. That's right. Nine big 10 games. And it looks like Indiana does get the Hostile Ohio State this year at Michigan Hostile Ohio State. What's that date? It's mid October, right? Yeah. October 17. Oh, it's the same day as Notre Dame BYU.
I think that's going to be a big day on the football schedule. Will stormy have the Notre Dame BYU assignment. That's a big one. Probably she does a lot of the BYU games, the Fleming Oswiler team. I like that team. Low bias, but it's a good team. All right, Matt. Speaking of Dave Fleming, he calls golf. It's a damn good broadcaster. And we've got the masters right around the corner as soon as the final four and wraps up in Indianapolis. Some folks will be flying from Indianapolis down to Georgia. Matt, what do we got on your futures card for the masters? Wait, for so many years, Jim Nance had it made, right? Hello, and CWA tournament and he fly out to a guest. They call the masters. What a great job he's got. So this is a Super Bowl of golf betting. Obviously, you're going to end up with more futures in your pocket on this event and any other major. And part of the reason is these odds are up for so long, so many months. And you might cash out a couple of tickets and look up and say, oh, look, so he's the gallows at 150 to one. So what I do a
lot of times when I'm around town, I look at the masters odds of different books. I get a book all over Vegas. And I was out to South Point a couple of weeks ago, looked at the master's sheet. And I see, so he's the gallow 150 to one. And he's starting to play a little bit better. Pointing towards Augusta. And I looked at circa, I called up to circa app. And circa has got the gallow lifted, listed 80 to one. So 150 to one is a pretty good number. You know, the circa numbers are sharp. So I take 150 to one. That's how I end up betting some of these futures. And you know, by the time you get to this point, a week out from Augusta, I've got eight of these. And over the weekend, I bet Scotty Sheffler, he went up to five to one. Is it Red Rock, William Hill? We got Sheffler or five to one. I thought the way he was playing early in 2026, we might see him go off at plus 250, you know, three to one. I'll think five to one on Scotty. What book you said had that red rock, Scott it check us. Was he knows got it? And William Hill
books got it as well. So at five to one, I decided I'm going to buy in on Sheffler here, because that's a fair price and a guy who not played great golf in the last few weeks. But he's going to show up to Augusta, expecting to win. And he knows that course well and fully capable of winning. And when I thought he was going to be plus 250 at one point, I'll take double that price at this point. And he also might have that new dad strength, right? Because he's going to have as a kid been born yet, he took last week off. I don't know. Sheffler took last week off from the birth of a child. I don't know if that happened, but he's going to be back. Anyway, Scotty at five to one, I went ahead and played him Bryson DeShambo beat John Rom and a playoff in a live recently in DeShambo with 26 under in that tournament. Last year, he was right there with Rory in the final pairing in Augusta. Obviously, Bryson capable of winning. 12 to one was my play on him. Had a weak moment, took Colin Maricola at 28 to one when he was playing well a couple of weeks ago. I don't love that bet, but a 28 to one
more Kawa. He'd show up on the leaderboard and annoy me if I didn't have him bet. So I want to have him played him a 28 to one at Chris Godter, up some of those guys. He's country strong. He could drive the ball a mile. Putting's a little bit shaky, but Godter, ups won a lot here in the past year or so. And I think he's a long shot, worth a shot here to go. So you can get 55 to one. I played him 50 to one about a month ago. So Shaford DeShambo, Mora Kawa got her up and then the long shots just of Rose, 60 to one. We know Rose can win here. Lost in a playoff last year. I had him a 120 to one last year when he lost in a playoff to Rory. Got him a half that price right here at 60 to one. Jason Day has shown some flashes this season. He can play well against 100 to one Gary Woodland who won yesterday. What a story. That isn't a great story. Gary Woodland, great to see him back. One for the first time since the U.S. Open a Pebble Beach in 2019. I took 100 to one on Woodland and then Sahi Thigalla, 150 to one. Now I've got about two units on Shaford, including some
futures. I've got tied in futures. Parley's I've got tied in the Scotty. Shaford DeShambo's a unit or a Kawa about a half got her up about a half. Justin Rose is a full unit actually. And Jason Day, Woodland, Thigalla, those are like quarter unit bets on those players at about 100 to one or higher. Matt's going to be sitting back eating Pimento and cheese sandwiches. That does not sound good at all. He's going to eat. He's going to have a Pimento and cheese sandwich. Can we have the barbecue sandwich? Sitting on we get the barbecue pork sandwich instead. Sitting on the balcony of his cruise ship. Oh man, let's try to think of some other things that I know you. Watching the view on TV. Re-watching Rams Eagles from 2025. All right, let's take a quick break when we come back. On the other side, jump back into the final four. Also, updating folks on the Circuit College hoops challenge. We got co-leaders. Go it into the final four.
This is Vincent Prime Time on Vsend. The Sports Petty Network. Come on up to 10 minutes. Our Vsend Prime Time game in the night. Yankees and Mariners right now market kind of holding steady on this one around minus 119 or so. Circa is actually the priceiest or second priceiest in town. So they've gotten a little bit of Yankee money at minus 121. So if you want to bet the Mariners before this game gets underway plus 109 at Circa, the Giants and Padres. Matt, they will start up in 10 minutes as well. The Giants 0 and 3 on the year as they got swept by the Yankees. They take on Walker Bueller and the Padres. Giants, the only team in Major League Baseball not to Homer on opening weekend. Really? And Giants fans are not happy. First of all, they hired a college baseball coach as a manager. Tony Vitella, right? And some of the offseason moves didn't really excite the fans and you get
almost skunked by the Yankees in a three game series over the weekend. So not a great start. Not a very positive start at all for the Giants. And it's going to be interesting to see how that managerial hire. Buster Posey is one who went outside the box to hire Tony Vitella from Tennessee. And Tim, that could blow up in his face. I mean, that's one of those things that that's a move that's rarely made, right? That's a move that's rarely ever made. Like Pat Murphy was a college coach, but he was a coach in the majors for a decade plus before getting the job in Milwaukee. Right. Yeah. So we will see. But speaking of Pat Murphy squad, they are tied two to two brewers, three and oh, start to their season. Pat Murphy was a college legend. Yeah. Noter named Arizona State and was Craig Council's bench coach for many years. Council leaves to go to Chicago. And Pat Murphy is one back-to-back NL manager of the years
up there in a Milwaukee. Who else is trying to go back-to-back? Paul Stone. Yes he is. What a transition. Or Chris Masero trying to go back-to-back. A little bit different. He's trying to pull the sweep of the circuit challenge. This has never been done before. Never been done. Has there ever been? I don't even think any of the first three champs got invited to the college. None of the circuit fighting football and rotational champs had ever been in the basketball contest until Chris Masero wanted the challenge. And he's showing out right now. Here are our standings. Three games left and two best bets. So two picks for the final four side or total. And then a pick for the title game. Chris Masero 26 points 24 17 and one three and three with his best bets. Paul Stone last year's champ 25 and 17. Last year he was on fire on his best bets this year. Not as much. Two and four. Kenny Thompson. Same record as me, but better best bet record. He's 23 18 and
one 24 and a half points. And I'm sitting there at fourth place 23 18 and one 24 points. And Matt humans showing the importance of hitting your best bets five and one on your best bets. Never in doubt you con plus the points and you're sitting there 23 and a half points winner. A thousand bucks to berries or stadium swim. Runner up 200 bucks to Dom DeMarco's which I utilize when my mom was in town just a couple weeks ago. It was great dinner. And third place. First time we have a third place prize hundred bucks to eight east. That's a damn good prize. East restaurant up here in the circle resort in casinos risk a fried rice who got three walkaway with something here. By the way, we have breaking news out scally at the owner of Dom DeMarco's on West Charleston says we want pizza night next Monday for the NCAA championship. We've got pizza so we're going to have food and studio next Monday night for the first time in a while. Best bets going well for me. I wish at a few more winners in this contest, but a five and one
best bet record. I will say that Christmas, Sarah 24 17 of one three and three on his best bets. At one point, I think in the second round, maybe your first name had a five game losing streak. I think it was about to throw into I think it was about to throw in the towel. As some said, Carl Weathers corner should have thrown in the towel, talking about Apollo, Creed, and Rocky for when Von Drago can I tell you something? His corner should have thrown in the towel. Christopher Sarah was lucky he did not throw in the towel. I want to tell you something. Okay. All right. Rocky for arguably the most influential movie in the history of the United States and ended a war that speech at the end. I believe Sylvester Stallone did get change. You can change. We all can change. But the thing that annoys me and then the Russians clapping. I cannot be defeated very realistic. Totally happened. Well, really annoy me about that movie. The fight, of course, happened on
Christmas day. Okay. Paulie gets off the flight in Russia. He's mumbling and he said, oh, could I get the Rose Bowl out here? Said that. Okay. The fight happened on Christmas day. Yeah, they played a Rose Bowl on New Year's day. Yeah. It's almost as bad as on die hard when on Christmas Eve, the guy who's sitting there at the front of the Nakatomi tower. Hans was up stairs doing his thing as one of the people with Hans's team was watching a football game and it was Notre Dame, USC. I remember that. Come on. Come on. Just check with sports people. Hollywood. Just every once in a while. Like, come on. You got to sit at the front desk with 100 bucks on this game. Watching Notre Dame, USC on Christmas Eve, but they've never played on Christmas Eve. Vacuous. And they won't play this year because Lincoln Riley scared. But we digress. You know what? Avon Drogo, Apollo Creed, a couple of
studs from back in the day. Chris Besero and Paul Stone right now. That's like a heavyweight fight atop these standings tied at 26. A bit of a controversy here too because Paul Stone did turn in his tiebreaker picks, the final four picks in the national champ and Chris Besero didn't. Uh-oh. And he claimed he didn't know that was a tiebreaker. He never saw the rule. Didn't know he had to do the picks. Well, we had to eat other people turn their picks in, but he didn't. So the tiebreaker is not best bets? So the first tiebreaker, you get one point each for a correct final four pick and three points if you picked the national champ. That's the first tiebreaker. Because I figured we're going to have a lot of similar best bet records. Someone who goes something a little bit more complex for his first tiebreaker. It's been set up this way all three years. So it's not a surprise. She should not be a surprise. Now, Paul Stone did turn in his picks. Besero did not, but Besero can take care of business just by going three and oh. So if there is a tie, Paul Stone will win. Paul Stone will win if there's a tie.
Oh, man. Ken Thompson, by the way, still has a shot. Hey, he's got it. AT still got a shot. Bobby Brubeck, uh, Bobby Bucket, some for me over the weekend, that he's been feeding Ken Thompson some winners for this contest. What? He's, I guess, a regular guest on Ken Thompson's radio show in Vegas. And he's been giving Ken some winners. So I guess, uh, outrageous. That's the secret to his success. David Deneen, still alive here. JVT, you and I, Will Hill, uh, still alive. So we've got, let's say, right there are eight handicapers got a chance at this. If everything falls right, you still got a total of four points out there, four points total in the contest, four possible points, because you've got a best bet worth one and a half in each of the final two rounds. Aaron Moore would need an absolute miracle to get up there, but it could be done. Rocky Balboa did beat Drogo on Christmas in Russia. It can be done.
Great Peterson, not having a contest to remember. Well, some people are never going to forget that. Oops, Peterson. I'm really surprised to see the skid he's on in this contest. Now in 32 and one against the spread one on five on the best bets. I'm pretty sure he was on Duke yesterday. So a lot of things. So he's taking bad beats to a lot of ball bouncing, uh, not who's Peterson's way in this contest. That's for sure. Matt, we still got some speaking of, uh, of hoops. Well, I will get to actually, let's do it right now. Um, Duke, tough loss for hoops, Peterson for Aaron Moore. Probably those two were as upset about it as Cameron Booser, who, uh, both boozers, both boozers, not happy. I will say this before we hear from Cameron Boozer, Caden Boozers sat it as locker like a pro answered questions. A lot of pros in any professional wouldn't answer questions. You've been in locker rooms where they run away. Caden Boozer, Rory McAroy blew the US open and stormed out. Wouldn't talk to anybody last year.
Caden Boozers, a teenager sat there at his locker, took questions, answered them, said, I blew the game. I feel like I let everybody down. So I give him a ton of credit for sitting there and, uh, answering questions. All right. Let's hear from his twin brother Cameron Boozer, following yesterday's loss. Um, I'm hurting right now. We're all hurting. Um, I wish I couldn't have gave more flows, guys, you know, Caleb, uh, Pat Millie, you know, everyone's hurting. The other injuries coming in plain. Um, you know, it's like a lot of heart. It's a lot of balls to do that, you know, so I'm just proud of them, proud of our team. One of, uh, one of the clips that was kind of funny coming out of this was that, uh, Carlos Boozer was taunting St. John's fans at the end of the game. Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye. The camera CBS cameras were on Carlos Boozer towards the end of the game until the past got deflected and stolen by Yukon and the camera switched over to the Yukon bench and away from Boozer.
And, uh, that was the last thing you're going to see of Carlos Boozer in this tournament. I know that's going to make Will Hill happy. He was tied up all the numerous camera shots on the Carlos Boozer, but you're right. I sort of see more of, uh, of Mama Hurley. I want to say that Taden Boozer and Carlos Boozer did, uh, conduct themselves. Both both Boozers conducted themselves as true professionals, answering questions after that loss. That's pure automotive joy. I'm Peter, the owner of Muscle Car Junior. It started as a hobby. Then I started posting about it. Few things are as uplifting as the greatest moments in sports and nothing brings us together quite like Team USA at the Olympic Winter Games. From NBC Universal's iconic storytelling to the innovative technology across Xfinity and Peacock, Comcast brings the Olympic Games home to America, sharing every moment with millions. When Team USA steps onto the world stage, we're not just watching. We're cheering together. This winter, we're all on the same team. Comcast, proud partner of Team USA. This is Vincent Prime Time on Vsyn, the sports betting network. Alongside Mad Humans, I'm Tim Murray. It is Vsyn Prime Time coming up top of the hour. Coach Matt McCall, he will jump on, give us his early thoughts on the final four. Also some coaching carousel thoughts as well. No one hired yet at North Carolina, Matt.
That news came out middle of the week last week. My early thought was Billy Donovan still think it's a possibility is someone coaching this weekend. He's going to be a top target for the North Carolina job. So I'm thinking Billy Donovan's going to be the top candidate for Carolina. Tommy Lloyd might be one A and Billy Donovan, one B. I'm not sure, but how many Lloyds are going to be tied up this weekend in the final four coaching Arizona? I don't really know why you'd want to leave Tucson for Chapel Hill. Best of your West Coast guy. You recruited internationally so well. I know UNC's one of if not the best job out there in college. Best was very good. But Arizona is a damn good job as well. I think Kansas is the best job. Okay. I'm not going to push back on that. When's that job going to come open next year? I don't know. Bill Self is ready to announce it yet, but it sounds like he's close to the end of the road. And some thought that that announcement
might be coming soon that he's going to step down from Kansas. But I don't know if Carolina job is that great? Really don't. That's one of the most historic jobs in college basketball. But I think the Arizona job right now is what I'd rather have because I'm more of a West Coast guy too and so it's Tommy Lloyd. Yeah, he's built the foundation. He's built this Arizona program back up. It is crazy to think 25 years between final fours. It's nuts. But yeah, he doesn't have any ties to Carolina. Like a lot of these guys who go back and it's sentimental a place for them. I don't know why it'd be, you know, mean that much to Tommy Lloyd. I think that why he's built it Arizona would mean more to him to just stay in Tucson. Yeah. Tommy Lloyd, Billy Donovan got to be your top two in the North Carolina job. Dusty May, he'd call him. I mean, yeah, you do your due diligence. You poke around. See who's going to be interested. You know,
you had Jerry McNamara introduced today. It's it's gotten a little louder from a portal stamp or from a carousel standpoint that I saw this tweet. Actually, it was Jimmy Ott station down in Baton Rouge. I know you do a regular hit with our buddy Jimmy down there regarding the Will Wade press conference. So Will Wade had his press conference today as he is back at LSU and he said that they're going to make history, Matt. Here's the quote. We're going to make history one way or another. A national championship or I'm going to be the first coach fired from the same school twice. But one way or another, we're going to make history. Yeah. National championship's a big talk. LSU's got a long way to go to get there, but they're going to spend all kinds of money to try to get back to relevance in college basketball. Get back to the final four first. Will Wade, I'll say this about him. He's one of those coaches. If he does not have great players, he can't win. That's
why he's got to buy great players. He's not a good enough coach, Tim. The win, unless he's got better talent. No, we've seen Duke now for the last 10 years have the best talent in college basketball. Duke's had numerous NBA lottery picks over the last 10 years and hasn't won a title. Will Wade's not a very good exes in those coach. It's just not a very good coach in general, but he's going to buy players to make up for that. LSU is going to buy all sorts of talent, try to get Will Wade to rebuild that program. He cannot win unless he buys great players. And LSU is going to try to help him do that. The holy trinity of unlikable coaches, Lane Kiffin, Kamolki, Will Wade. Thank you. I didn't even think about that. Really most unlikable people in sports. I mean, they fired Brian Kelly and they made found a guy who people like less. Yeah. That's true. Kelly fit right in with those. Oh, man. The coach at Carousel in college basketball, North Carolina, still waiting
to see what happens there. I would say my favorite still so far, Matt. I mean, a lot of mid-major jobs, low major jobs. Luke Murray curious to see how he is at Boston College. I think you get a better job than that, but obviously Luke Murray's smart guy and he decided, hey, this is a job I should take now. BC, I know it was BC willing. We're talking about LSU. He's going to throw all the money out there. The boosters will do everything they can to make Will Wade successful. He's going to get almost any player he wants to buy is BC willing to do that? I don't think so. They're not willing to do it for football. They're not really willing to do it for basketball. We'll see. But Luke Murray has been instrumental for all the success Yukon has had. And he's been kind of the right hand man for Danny Hurley for so many years. Ben Jacobson. That was a bit of a surprise. Northern Iowa long time head coach Ben Jacobson goes to Utah state. I thought Craig Smith would do the return kind of the not the Will Wade in that regard. But I thought that would be a possibility, but they went with Ben Jacobson up there in Logan,
and that has been a breeding ground for coaches to move on to higher jobs. When you think about, it will start with Craig Smith going to Utah, followed by Ryan Odom goes to VCU, then ultimately Virginia. Washington's coach, whose name is is Danny Sprankle. Danny Sprankle, thank you very much. And then Jared Calhoun goes to Cincinnati. It's great coaching. Highers at Utah state. It's similar. I think the Boise State football and this higher the right guy just keep winning. Stu Morrill was a legend. He built that Utah state program kind of the way Luke Olson built the Arizona program. I think Scott Cross going to Georgia Tech. That's a program that doesn't have a ton of money. So I think he's a really good coach. Curious to see how Casey Alexander does from Belmont going to Kansas state. And NC state they they shot. They're shot with Josh shirts, but couldn't get it done. Justin Gainey, a former NC state guard will now be the man in charge. Gainey's been, uh, yeah, I think he's been Rick Bard's associate head coach. Long time. Yeah. So,
hey, just a reminder, folks found it in 2011. The sharp plays just completed another dominant run, including a 2025 campaign that's all bank rolls, double 15 straight years of winning. It's all documented. Records, logs posted publicly at sharp plays.com respected watched feared start winning with them at sharp plays.com. Tim, we got a message here from a viewer tonight Andy from Orange County who says the in diehard and the diehard movie, the guy said he had $50 bet. Not a hundred, $50 bet on the Notre Dame USC game. I need to step up my game. I knew I wasn't ultra confident going in with the 100 or 50, I got 50 bucks on these guys covered that game. You were the fake Notre Dame USC game in the early 80s. They're playing in the Las Vegas bowl. I tell you what, I'm just, I'm just a Hawaii bowl. That's why I met Hawaii bowl. But we do know our rainbow warriors took care of it. You were there. What a game that was by the 3531 comeback victory for
the rainbow warriors over the total. That was a slow start. You were not happy. That's one of the best games of the bowl season was why you got off to a slow start. But our bows got it done. Matt, what are you going to transition to next? I don't know. I was trying to figure it out. I was going to mention that I saw Michael Alohado. He was at the big west tournament. So he was there cheering on the bows. We got a lot of basketball coming up top of the hour. Let's say, I said a little baseball here, Matt. Night thinning, raise and brewers tied at two. Brew Crew tried to improve to four and O on the year. Also going on, we got some finals. We'll tell you about here. But the Houston Astros off to a very good start on the Boston Red Sox, five to nothing lead for the Astros in that one. Colorado, Matt's going to get their first win of the year. They were plus two thirty five underdogs and they're up 13 to one in the eighth inning.
So the Colorado Rockies going to get off the Schneid, the Cubs. They're going to get a win tonight. They're up seven to in the eighth over the Los Angeles Angels and the Matt. Do you want me to tell you the A score? A's lost again. Yeah, they're going for tough schedule to open. You got to go to Toronto to Atlanta. That's a tough way for the West Sacramento, Vegas A's to have open the season on the road. Got a couple games later tonight. Detroit, Arizona. That first pitch, about 15 minutes away in Phoenix. Dbacks minus 120 total nine. If you missed it, Luke Finnecaro is going to play first five under five that Verlanders, Seroca matchup. Detroit, Arizona, Lou playing first five under five and Guardians Dodgers, Sasaki minus 175 total of eight and a half at Dodgers stadium.
