This is Fiesin, prime time. Live from the circus sportsbook in downtown Las Vegas on Fiesin, the sports betting network. Just a couple moments away from the start of our second two games tonight, as it will be Arizona and Arkansas, Illinois. And Houston, that's Matt humans. I'm Tim Murray, Matt Iowa. The Hawkeyes in year one under Ben McCollum headed to the Elite 8 for the first time since. You know when Elite 8, I want to say 1980. Oh, 1987. Seven? Okay. There's one really good Hawkeyes team in the late 80s and the 1980 team got to the final four. But it's been a long time since we've seen the Hawkeyes get this deep into the tournament. Dr. Tom Davis's first season as a head coach of Iowa. They went to the Elite 8. They were a 30 35 team at and lost two. Very Tarcanian and UNLV. Does it say that was a team I believe with BJ Armstrong, Roy Marble.

Was that that Iowa team? Don't have those in front of me, but I believe. Pretty sure that was the BJ Armstrong, Roy Marble team. That was a pretty damn good Iowa team. This is a Cinderella story. The Hawkeyes are your Cinderella in the tournament. Texas is out. Nebraska was the top four seed, but the Cornhuskers had never been this deep in the tournament, picked up their first two NCAA tournament wins ever in the last week. But there's no doubt right now the Hawkeyes are your Cinderella's of the dance and Iowa advances Tim to face who? They will face the winner of Houston and Illinois. It could be an all big 10 showdown in the South Regional final. It is crazy to think back 2024, Matt Northwest, Missouri State. Knocked out on the sweet 16, Ben McCollum, sweet 16 of the Division 2 tournament. Ben McCollum takes the Drake job. He does what Coach DeVries couldn't do, wins the tournament game a year ago.

And now he did what Fran McCaffrey could never do. And he's gotten onto the second weekend. And the first times it's 1987 that the Iowa Hawkeyes are in the Elite 8. What a story it has been for a team that went 10 and 10 lost a Maryland and lost a Penn state. And now they are in the Elite 8. I want to say that I think Indiana might have picked the wrong former Drake coach. I think you might be right. But Ben McCollum's an Iowa guy and that's a job he wanted anyway. So a great story. The Hawkeyes getting there again. If you don't remember, they were 10 and 10 in the big 10 finished ninth. Lost seven other final 10 games. And here they are in this Elite 8. This hour of decent prime time being brought to you by Edge Boost. New users sign up with the promo code V-Syn. We're seeing a little bit of late over money come in. As right now it is sitting at 141. We saw early under money hit the market on this one.

So late over money coming in Illinois. And Houston, Matt, you and I both have a bet on Illinois. Plus the points plus three and a half actually. I have three and a half in the contest. But only three was the best number I was able to grab in the market. And then Arizona and Arkansas. I laid seven and a half with Arizona. And the market right now sits at eight. So we will see how these two games play out. Final thoughts before these games tip off. Because we can briefly turn our attention to the massive games tomorrow in the sweet 16. Yeah, I took Illinois plus three. But again, I bet Houston and the win this region before it started. So I had that back going too. So you got to keep that in consideration. I felt like three and a half was a little too much here. On the number in the game. I expect to go to the wire man. We just had two games go to the wire tonight. Can we get that lucky tonight? I mean, nice. I don't want to get that lucky in the Arizona game. Because actually, I like Arizona. I've got them on two separate money line parlays here. And if I had to, I would have laid the points here. Because this is one dog. I do not think it's going to hang in there for 40 minutes.

Arkansas not tough enough on the defensive end of the floor. Probably not enough depth. And not big enough on the front line to deal with this Arizona team. In my opinion, the best two teams left in the tournament. Arizona and Michigan. And I don't think Arkansas is going to be the team to knock off the cats tonight. I would agree with that. Maybe Darius Acuff puts on a show. But these, uh, this should be fun here tonight. Matt tomorrow night, you and Will Hill will be on the air. As we will be watching St. John's in Duke 710. Tip time, a lot of opinions out there on this game. Whether it's the side or the total, our own Brent Musburger, the goat. Joined a Mitch and Paul earlier today and gave his insight on tomorrow's St. John's Duke game. St. John's, uh, I think St. John's can win the game. Slide out and there's one big reason that starting point guard. Been overlooked a little bit. Yeah, the foster hasn't played for Duke. Okay.

And they're still saying he's going to be questioned about game time decision. And I'm a little doubtful if Foster is going to be able to play. Now Cameron's twin brother, the other booster has been back there at point guard. I'm taking Rick Patino's look at his chops. Hmm. Uh, go after a youngster who's only started about two or three games back there at point guard. I mean, Patino's going to come at him hard. And now, can Cameron carry them all by himself down low? I don't know. The interesting thing about St. John's is when Rick Patino's all the money that was fashed around, he's got a couple of billionaire graduates who, uh, fund the NIL for St. John's. He said, and he has said repeatedly, he will not recruit four and five star high school stars. He wants transfers and European players. Okay. That's who he's paying. What that indicates to me with the St. John's game is they're older, veteran like, they're going to go about their business. And I think Duke's going to wind up in a dog fight.

And I'm going to pick the Johnny's for an upset. All right. There you go. Brent Musberger on the Johnny's. Matt, you were best bet in the circuit college hoops challenge. Is St. John's plus the points we did hear from Chuck Esposito earlier today in the program that the Johnny's are a popular play at stations Casino. Does that concern you at all? No, not really, because look, there's. There's going to be popular sides that land and popular sides that lose. You know, I'm going to try to get not get too caught up in that stuff when we get this deep in the tournament. But it did concern me when we were talking about the total in the Iowa Nebraska game that everybody, I don't think there was one person who was talking about the over. And that's that sort of stuff that was concern me here. You've got to know people who like Duke. I just I don't want to be on the hot dog necessarily, especially in the NFL. But at this point, that's not going to be the term determining factor in this game. I did switch my best bet from Texas plus seven to St. John's plus seven.

So you never want to switch picks at the last minute. But I was kind of flipping a coin. Which one's going to be my best bet? Texas or St. John's? I went with the Johnny's and here's what? A big factor in determining this game is going to be 10. Do we get a fairly officiating game? St. John's going to bring defensive pressure and toughness in the paint like Duke has not been dealing with in the ACC like Duke has not had to deal with in this tournament so far. St. John's is a different kind of physical and tough. If the officials call it close and call a bunch of touch files and put Zubie edge for and foul trouble, St. John's is going to be in trouble. Hopefully that's not the way the game is called. Anytime Duke is involved, you say, Hey, I want to fairly officiate a game. I don't think TCU got that in the second half last week. Both underway in our two other regional semi finals, Matt Arizona, Arkansas, Illinois, and Houston and early on, Arizona with a two nothing lead, but some good interior defense

from Arkansas on the second Arizona possessions just underway in these two contests. As Arkansas evens things up at two a piece, who else? Darius Acuff getting the first bucket for the Arkansas razor back. So these games almost starting at the same time, Matt. So this should be a fun evening of watching some college hoops here with Arizona, Arkansas, Illinois and Houston, Illinois Houston, our visa and prime time game of the night. Matt, I don't know. That stuff drives me crazy, right? Did Darius Acuff put the crossover dribble going to his right and he scores? If you're the defender, you got to overplay the right hand. Tim, you know, he's going to cross over and go to the right. How do you let him drive to the right? And that's how Purdue won the game against Texas with Braden Smith going to his right. And I talked about that in the previous possession. You got a right hand to guard who always drives right. You got to overplay that side and force him to do something else. And that's how Arizona, let's Acuff get his first points on the board in this game.

But a cats up four to two and they got the ball back. You can tell right now this is going to be a fast-paced game. Whether it gets over is going to be all about the shot making, but it's not going to be about the pace. No, it is not. And underway, bit of a slog so far in Illinois, Houston. Just two to nothing is the score as Arizona ups their lead to six to two right now. Just two minutes into the contest. Matt, I thought this tweet was funny. Salt circulating on Twitter, this from Cody Hills, Iowa finished on a 15 to six run after the broadcast showed Nebraska football coach Matt Rule in the stands. That's not fair. Hey, you know what? That's what my favorite thing, Matt, a foul on a three pointer. Just such a smart heads up play in college basketball. Good God. It is a, it is an epidemic of dumbness. You definitely want to contest. You want to defend the threes, but you don't foul on three pointed things. Make him hit a tough shot over you. By the way, following up on that note about Matt Rule,

Texas was outscored to nothing after they showed Steve Sarkissi, right? That's two points to the game or two to one. I guess he had to free throw. Man, two to nothing is the score, by the way. It's about the under in Illinois, Houston. Apparently, we should have met that was that was decided to look at the live total in that game is down to one thirty two and a half as that has gotten off to a crawl of a start between Illinois and Houston, neither team wanting to score in that game. Six to four, as Darius Acuff makes two of three free throws,

Arizona with a two-point lead, two to nothing remains the score. We're almost at the first media time out. Illinois and Houston live total and that one down to one thirty one and a half. Arizona upping their lead right now to five. Underway, last two regional semi-finals of the night. Let me get your attention real quick podcast listeners. Kind of what we expected in Arizona and Arkansas. Very minimal defense here to start this game. 16 to 11, Matt. As Arizona with a five point lead, live number out to 10 and a half. Total out to 170 and a half. Total is 166. It can't say the same in Houston, Matt, as it is 2-0 after the first media timeout. Illinois with that stranglehold on Houston with that 2-0 lead. Total has dropped a full 10 points. Just four minutes into this game. Other teams are one for 17 from the field combined. And I don't think the align that you're going to score here

by watching the live betting screen. So it's going to go from bad to worst, even uglier here. Loggler drives for the line out. He misses, foul on the rebound. So the teams are one for 18 from the field. Illinois is going to go to the free throw line here. Timnus total is plummeting down to 130 and a half in the Illinois Houston game. Easy over in the first two games. Iowa and Nebraska flies over the total. And then you look at the other contests that unfolded in Purdue and Texas. That goes over as well. Trending over, super early in Arkansas and Arizona. Very much trending under in Illinois and Houston. If we see an opportunity betting in game, you know, it immediately jumped out to us. Couple opportunities in the early games, Matt, whether it was Iowa catching seven and a half down 12 to two. Some of the live under at halftime in Iowa and Nebraska.

I can't really get a strong sense one way or the other. Do you think Illinois Houston turns it up? Yeah, I feel like Houston's going to hit a three here if I had the chance. I was taking a blind guest and I say, I feel like the Cougars are going to get in the board here. Let's see. Let's see what's your intuition. Sometimes it's just so there's a deep spot. That's good. Wow. And we got a three three game. Matt nailed it. Cougars on the board with 1509 to go in the first half. Get their first points. All right, Matt. We've got a little bit of low in the action early first half. And we will keep folks updated, of course, on what is happening in these two games. But tomorrow, you and Will, as mentioned, will be on the air for St. John's Duke, Alabama, Michigan, Michigan, state Yukon and Iowa state Tennessee will start towards the end of prime time tomorrow night. But going back to St. John's Duke, we just heard from Brent Mossberger. He likes St. John's. You like St. John's as well. I like the under. That was my best bet in the circuit contest at 142, bet 143 earlier in the half in the week. The question regarding Duke,

I don't think Caleb Foster is going to play. I think this is clear gamesmanship. But John Shire was asked about the status of his starting quarter, starting quarterback starting point guard, Caleb Foster for tomorrow night's game. Different experience, right? With both these guys, one pat responded well. You never know how that's going to go, but he's on track to play again tomorrow, which is a really big deal for us. And then Caleb, I just go back to when he got hurt. He told me, look, if I do this and work every day, you got to promise me, you're, let me put this uniform on again with our guys. And he's in a position where he's going to try to do that tomorrow night. And he had a good day of practice yesterday, doing a little bit. We have to see how he feels today. And then, hopefully, he progresses well enough tomorrow where, you know, again, it's not like there's a lot of practice time, but we have to make sure he's in position

before the game, it'll be more of a game time decision. But he's going to give it everything he has to go tomorrow night. Yeah, I think it's really tough to bring a point guard back. It's even tougher to bring a point guard back at this point when he's been out for a while, Tim, when you're this deep in the tournament, playing high-stakes games like this, especially against a team like St. John's, he's going to pressure you so much, defensively, and bring back a point guard who's been out injured. I don't think Caleb Foster is going to play tomorrow. I don't think he plays, honestly, maybe in the final four, but in the initial diagnosis was what surgery on his foot. So it's hard to envision him back for these games. And especially tomorrow, I think that point that you make is very valid. Is the pressure that these St. John's guards put on the guards of their opposition, as we saw that case in point against Kansas. You know, Duke struggled a bit with some of the pressure against Virginia with that Caleb Foster. Do they struggle against the pressure of St. John? St. John's will throw that full-core pressure on it and it kind of eases off.

Once you inbound the ball, they'll ease off a little bit. So it's not full, full-core pressure. But man, they make it really hard to inbound the ball. And they forced turnovers out of that as well as we saw in the Kansas game. And Kansas could not get the ball inbounded in that first half against St. John's. Right. Kansas got off to a really rough start and I came. But again, what did the Johnny's do? They went through a big scoring drought. Let the J. Hawks back in the beginning, almost collapsed late. And similar to what Purdue did, needed kind of a walkoff score there on a drive to the bucket late to get the wind to survive in advance. Dylan Darling with his only Dylan Darling is only two points of the game. It's only made field goal in St. John's last possession there to walk off the J. Hawks. This is going to be an ugly game to him. This is one where I did, I think hopefully we're all right. Everybody I know likes under the total in this game. What could go wrong? We talked about it with the brass guy, everyone liked the under. Same way here. And I played this under 140. I think 140, two and a half.

What'd you play? You got a better number. I got a fan duel. I had 143 and a half on Sunday. It was the first bet I made of the week. And I was expecting around 142-ish. So I was happy to get that extra point and a half on the total. And the market has come down since 141 and a half. Curious if we get maybe a little buyback to the over on this game as we get closer. You know, the public tends to like overs in these contests, but might not be the case as as that game tips off. First game tomorrow. St. John's and Duke Illinois and Houston going on right now. And the rock fight continues under 12 minutes to go in the first half. Illinois with a 98 lead. You are wowing at Anthony Delorso. He got a lucky bounce on the corner. Three there. It goes in and Arizona up 20 to now 15. Wildcats up by five live line nine and a half. Total 175 and a half. Five total has crashed to 127 and a half in the Illinois, Houston. You and I said the same thing about this Arkansas, Arizona game.

Can't play under in this one. And right now that number has moved from 166 to 175 and a half. And we are not at the under 12 media time out as Arizona will have some free throws here. The opposite happening as we have seen a crash as you alluded to in the total. This close around 140 Illinois, Houston, Matt 127 and a half right now. As 1056 to go in the first half. And I believe a foul has just been called on the align eye. The other game in that early window tomorrow night. We've seen a little bit of Bama money hit the market here, Matt. Alabama and Michigan will play in Chicago. Right now circus hits at nine. Total has also come down a little bit. This was up at around 175 and a half earlier this week. It's down to 172 and a half. So some brave souls taking the under in this game between Alabama and Michigan. I mean, Michigan is I talked about the top teams in terms of a defensive rating this season.

Number one, Duke to Michigan, three Arizona and four is Houston out of coincidence. Those four teams are still alive here when we get to the sweet 16. If you defend, you have a great chance to win. And defense always travels when you're playing on neutral courts here. Alabama is one of those teams that they'll just fire up three small over the place. And here's what my concern with the matchup for the Wolverines. Alabama's got better guards than Michigan does. Yep. And if the guards are hot, if they're shooting like they were against Texas Tech on Sunday night, it's going to be hard to duplicate to happen if they do. Wolverines are going to have their hands full in this game. I felt like Arizona, if you're going to lay the points with one of the big favorites there, Arizona was a team to lay it with, not Michigan. Yeah, I can be talked into taking a Michigan team total over. It's very high, 91 and a half right now. Maybe it comes down a little bit, but that would be the only play for me because you pointed it out. Alabama is more than capable of going punch for punch if their shots are falling.

Now, it could also be a situation, Matt, like we saw last year, after they had the 25, three point barrage against BYU in the sweet 16. They were held for eight for 32 against Duke and got blown out 85 to 60. I can happen there too. Also, they could get dwarfed on the front line, right? Michigan's front line, big physical skilled. Probably going to be too much for the tie it inside, you would think. Arizona up 10 now, 25 to 15. Some tie up down low, but I don't know if any foul was called. Live number out to 12 and a half, total 174 and a half. Illinois at the under 12 media timeout, 98 lead, total down to 126 and a half. So we've seen a 14 point move to the under. Any interest of going over in Illinois, Houston now? Well, I tell you what, with the total dropping all the way to 120, would you say five and a half or six and a half? Draft kings has 26 and a half. Yeah, 2126 and a half. You can consider it, but man, you got a tall mountain to climb here.

I feel like this is a rock fight. 98 game on it. Yeah, maybe overtime helps you out. Hey, baseball. Would you be surprised if this game finished like 62 to 60? Absolutely not, not at all. Purdue eliminated Texas in the first round. NCAA tournament and Rick Barnes first season at Texas. Purdue eliminated Texas in the second round of the tournament. And Chris Beard's first season at Texas. Purdue eliminated Texas in the sweet 16. And Sean Miller's first season at Texas. If you're a first year Texas coach, I guess you don't want to play Purdue in the tournament. Sounds like yeah. Avoid Purdue at all costs. By the way, Chris Beard, I know that he's got some baggage, but talking about the North Carolina job. I think you start with Billy Donovan. They're going to be some other hot. They're going to be other hot candidates in there. Chris Beard is still top five or top 10 coach. And he's going to get a big job somewhere in some times past. He's going to be a steal whoever hired him away from Ole Miss. Can't imagine it's going to be North Carolina though.

I don't think so. I don't think it'll be Carolina. I do think they take. We talked about it on the night that the news came out. That we thought Billy Donovan would make a lot of sense. There seems to be some smoke behind that. TJ Ozzelberger is apparently not going. I think the Iowa State AD came out today. I did also see someone. I think it was Trilly Donovan on Twitter and said, man, a lot of people are going to get paid because of this North Carolina job. And there's no doubt about that. That that is the possibility of what's going to unfold. Mark Byington, a Vanderbilt, could be a candidate. According to folks out there, Dusty May is going to be a candidate. Dusty May is definitely a candidate. But Michigan is going to do... I think Derek Stevens is going to throw in some money to keep Dusty May at Michigan. I think they're going to do whatever they possibly can to keep Dusty May in Ann Arbor. By the way, at the... He leaves for any job to him. I'm going to tell you this right now. Dusty May ever leaves Michigan for another job. I think it's got to be the Indiana job. Money talks.

Well, he's a student manager. Yeah, no, I know. He's got Indiana history. And the Hoosiers have struggled for a long time. How long has it been since Indiana's advanced in this tournament? Man, 10 years? It's not. It has been a long road. They're a football school, Matt. They don't care about basketball anymore. Actually, that's true. If you win the football national championship, you shouldn't care that much. You got Kurt Signetti. Imagine if you had Kurt Signetti and Dusty May. They pretty good duo. They pretty good duo to have there. So we wait. There was a little bit of coaching news today. Luke Murray. The longtime hurly assistant. And he is headed to Boston College. So interesting job there. Chris Mack, by the way, the under the radar goes to South Florida. So South Florida who loses Brian Hodgson to Providence, they replace their vacancy or filter vacancy, I should say, with Chris Mack. So we'll build South Retire. I know there were a couple tweets out there that were inaccurate.

So you got to be careful out there folks. Can't believe what you need on Twitter these days. There's so many fake reports out there. As soon as I saw that report today, I was like, that's fake. There's no didn't believe it for a second. And not not to say that Bill South couldn't retire. But if it's coming on social media, it's probably from Pete Damol or someone of that regard. All right, 30 to 21 is the score. Arizona with a nine point lead right now over. Arkansas eight and a half minutes to go under eight media time out just wrapped up. Houston and Illinois tied at 14 of peace. Illinois really struggling, shooting the ball in this game. The fact that I'm a pretty good job inside so far tonight, Matt. But from long range, the Align Eye, just one of five Houston two of 10, neither team shooting the ball well. And it begs the question. At some point, do you look over in this game right now, the total down to 123 and a half? Man, still can't get there though. I'm just kicking myself for not playing pre-flop

under in this game. Now down to 122 and a half, Matt. The number just keeps dropping. It does look like this is going to be a 62, 60, 60, 58 type of game. It's 14, 14 with six and a half minutes to go. And there's a line now throwing up another wild shot. Illinois is going to take a 16, 14 lead here with about six minutes to go. But Tim, this is an ugly game. Arizona Arkansas has been it up and down game eight minutes to go before the half 32, 21 wild cats lead. The scoring is not incredibly high right now. The pace is high. The scoring is fine, but it's kind of right on pace. The live total 170, what, 176 and a half. Actually, this is a total closed. 175. This total close 166 and a half. 166, as well as a head of pace. Actually tomorrow night's game. That's the one Alabama Michigan is 173. Tonight it closed 166 and a half. A lot of free throws so far in Arkansas.

Arizona combined right now. They have shot 16 free throws. So these teams get into the line and fast pace, but it's stopping often for free throws. Houston, Illinois continues to be a bit of a brick fest in Houston. As Houston is missing another three as they trail by two. To Illinois. Matt, look at ahead of tomorrow. We both have got our fair share of bets. We talked a lot about St. John's and Duke. I want to get your analysis on Michigan State Yukon, because you made a strong case for Yukon right out of the jump. You talked about on Sunday, you're at the Westgate Superbook. You laid one with Yukon. Market is one and a half, mostly one and a half, two at the Superbook. Why did you go in on Yukon against Michigan State? Reason number one is Danny Hurley, 15 to 1, ATS run in this tournament over the past few years. And I don't want to bet against Hurley. I'd brother bet on him. And obviously, if you're doing that, your way ahead of the game here. And I know you can talk about Thomas, those magic and March,

but I think in terms of this coaching matchup right now, I think Hurley's probably the better guy. Now, is those got, by the way, if he compared Thomas, those records with Hubert Davis over the last four years, you know, they're about the same. Really? Yeah. And Hubert Davis, what, 125 and 50, I believe, was his record? Not bad. He didn't have a bad record. Right. Not great, but Jeremy Fears is one advantage, as he'll have has here. He's got the best point card. And that's one significant matchup edge. But I like the way Alex Caravan and Terrace Reed are playing. You're talking about seniors who've been around a long time. And I want to bet on Danny Hurley, Alex Caravan and Terrace Reed, and you get to this point. And two tournament games, Caravan has 49 points, 27 and 22. Terrace Reed, 41 points and 40 rebounds in the two games. And Braylon Mullins, the freshman guard, has really matured. And he's not afraid to shoot now. He's not afraid to take big shots. You get Mullins hitting from three. You get so ball hitting down, hitting downtown. I think Yukon's going to be in good shape in this game.

And I just think Yukon's just a bit. I never wanted to say a team's a little bit tougher than Michigan State. Both of these teams got plenty of toughness. I feel like down the stretch in a close game, I'd rather bet on Danny Hurley and Yukon's veterans here. But look, the line came out one. I thought it was cheap. I thought the line should be two, two and a half. But it's going to be a very close game in the last five minutes. What we watched in the first couple of games tonight. Bottom line is Tim. Danny Hurley, 15-1, ATS running this tournament. That's a guy I want to bet on. All right, we got a timeout on the floor in Houston, Illinois on a 7-0 run here, Matt. They lead 21-14 just hit a corner three. And they are out to a two and a half point favorite over Houston, totaled down to 122 and a half. We get a three from Arkansas, but Arizona bounces right back and gets another bucket. The Arkansas defense is as we saw against high point

and at times against Hawaii, not the strength of their team. And it is 38-27 right now. The size certainly feels like it is a difference right now. Rebounds. They're not out rebounding. Arkansas by a crazy margin. I don't think they've ever seen a lot of miss shots, though, right? Arizona shooting 65%. Actually, now 67%. Now, what is uncharacteristic is that they're shooting the ball well from three. But this is an Arizona team, as we know, does not shoot the three all that much. Thought to be maybe in a Achilles heel for this Arizona team. But when they've got the size down low, you're just not seeing much of a resistance here. Coa Pete, seven points. CarChankoff has five points down low. They kind of have this nice little loft shot from the free throw line. 38-27 is the score. Live numbers in both of these games. Arizona minus 13 and a half,

total 175 and a half. So that total up nine points from close. 21 14 Illinois, two and a half point favorite. Matt minus $1.80. Any interest on Houston plus 140 on the money line? I think you have to have some interest in Houston here. Plus 140 and also taking two and a half. Tim, what do you think the chances are this game is going to get tied again or it's going to be. It's going to get tight or it's going to be tied again. It's definitely going to happen. Yeah, I would. Illinois is not going to run away with this game up seven. Have an Illinois plus three and a half. I would like to get a little bit more middle opportunity, but it does feel like this game is going to land. Two, three, one way or the other. And the question for me is at what point do you look to go on the other side to grab a little Houston. Matt, you and I both have Illinois plus three and a half in the Circuit College Hoops contest. I have three in my account here. I was mad at myself for not betting it earlier. And now an eight point lead for Illinois, as there's less than three minutes to go in this first half. And the other contest going on right now, Matt, Arizona, a 13 point lead, 14 and a half point favorites in game. Total continues to rise. It's funny to watch the total and Arizona Arkansas go up and the total and Illinois Houston go down. 121 and a half. And now up to 179 and a half in Arkansas and Arizona. Well, you can tell the Arkansas Arizona games played at a fast pace. And like you and I were talking during the break. This is I don't think this game is slowing down. These teams are just going to keep running tonight.

So the live total over. Definitely the way to go so far to this point. It's going to at some point here. It's going to get too high for you to bet the over. But yeah, might do not want the under in this game. Senate before attempt to say it again. No interest in the under Houston is going to hit a three here to cut it to 24 19, but the live total down to 122 and a half. You know Houston's not going to go away. So once again, I don't think there's really going to be a time that I'm going to feel comfortable with an Illinois ticket. So that might lead to getting back on the other side 24 to 19. A grind right now. You know, I forgot to text our buddy Steve Sands who was on the broadcast of the Houston. Houston invitation all down in in Texas for PGA. He's at this game here tonight and didn't text him as the early game was an absolute thriller between Nebraska and Iowa. Bennett's starts was in the locker room.

And he was asked what did Ben McCollum say to his team when they were down 10. He said, quote, he slammed his whiteboard and broke his marker on the floor, ink everywhere. And then he summed it up. He said he was just telling us we sucked and we were soft. I guess it worked. I like that. And Bennett's start said the assistants were all being very positive. And that's the way that I guess Ben McCollum likes to play it. He's the he's the bad cop and the assistants are the good guys. But 24 19 final 90 seconds in Houston. And the cougars who thought they were going to get that three. But they only a trail by five here. So Matt tomorrow, once again, we got best bets. The circuit college hoops invitational continues to roll on. One of my plays is actually my best bet is St. John's Duke under. I am a bit worried. It feels like that is a very popular play. But I had a stick to my guns. That was the first bet I made this week.

So I'll stick with it in the contest. 142 market 141 141 and a half. You've got your best bet in St. John's Duke as well. Yeah, I do. St. John's plus seven. I was alternating. I couldn't decide my best bet. Texas or St. John's. I went with the Johnny's getting seven. What should be a low scoring ugly game? Very defensive oriented. I think St. John's got the toughness. He's going to bring the defensive intensity and toughness. St. Duke really has not seen in recent matchups or in the ACC. So I like to read storm to hang in that game and have a shot to win it. We heard from Brent Musberger earlier in the show. He was on with Mitch and Paul today and Brent likes St. John's. That's good enough for me. No, but I do like the Johnny's here. And I picked him before the tournament to win this region. Yep. So I'm going to stick with that pick. And what's probably going to be a down to the wire game. Look at that rebound duck for Arkansas. I tell you what you think. There's some NBA scouts watching this game tonight. He. Yeah, let us assume. That was pretty Arkansas team is outrageous.

No, Nick Pringle. And then he gets a block on the other side. He gets a put back highlight real dunk. And then they go edge end to end. As Billy Richmond gets a left handed layoff four straight points for Arkansas. Good God. The athleticism on both of these teams, Matt, because on the previous possession, there was a great dunk from Arizona as well. You know, I said it during the break. Arkansas ain't going to quit offensively, man. They're going to keep coming. So if your Arizona, there's no quit in this game. You got to keep on scoring because this Arkansas team, while they can't defend all that well, is definitely going to keep on fighting. Final seconds rolling down here in the first half, Matt. Illinois up five right now over Houston. And Illinois going to use one of their fouls as they only have four left. All right. Well, rapid fire. Our rest of our plays. Neither one of us have an official play in Alabama, Michigan. I think I'll probably bet a little Michigan team total over. It's high 91 and a half, but the way this team plays,

the size that they have Alabama, not elite defensively. So I don't really want to mess with the side in this one, but I'll take Michigan team total over if I had to play something in that one. Any thoughts on Alabama, Michigan? I didn't play anything in this game. I do have a money line Parley involved with Michigan in it, but like I didn't feel comfortable laying the points here. I do have Michigan winning the whole thing in my bracket. I'm concerned about the guard matchup because Crimson tied guards are playing better right now that the Michigan guards are. But where the Wolverines should be able to win this game, this got pound the ball down to the paint, attack the rim. And if you do that, I don't think Alabama is going to be able to stop you. Michigan's got the axle into board, a day, Mara, Morens Johnson, those guys are big. They're skilled and I don't think Crimson tied is going to be able to stop them around the rim. So it's not going to probably not going to be easy, but I think Michigan finds a way to get there.

I would not lay it like I've said many times. I thought Arizona, if you're going to lay it with one of the favorites, Arizona was a team to lay it with. I think Michigan's going to have a struggle from the tide. They're going to get a struggle from the tide. If Alabama shows up and hit some threes, if they have major three point shooting regression, what was Alabama from three on Sunday night? Damn Houston hits a three at the end of the half. So they had two threes to close out the half here. 24, 22 Kingston Fleming step back three. That's good coaching right there. There's it Houston inbound to the ball to Kingston Fleming's. Why is it only playing off the shooters? Why they playing off the shooters there? Could have got two and a half just a moment ago. Make a sense. That's this weak defense, a good game plan by 24, 22 by Kelvin Sampson, 24, 22 at a half time. I did not lie bet Houston here either, but like I said, this game's going to be tight. It's going to be tied when Illinois was up seven. You knew it was going to happen. It happened quickly. Houston alive, one and a half point favorite,

totaled down to one 19 and a half 10. That's 60 to 58. But I love man. You think you're at 73 points in the second half here? Not listening to a whole bunch of fouls. Right, I don't know, it's hard. It's hard for me to overtake them in the over. You might get over time or double over time today. Who knows? The half time 24, 22 Illinois, but had a 24, 16 lead missed out on the opportunity there to grab in game on Houston around plus two and a half. Houston ends with two threes to end that first half. Arizona up their lead to 13, 48 to 35. That total now 181 and a half. The two night games tomorrow, Michigan State and UConn. You've got to play in this game at NDC. You're looking at the UConn Huskies. I am again, Danny Hurley on a 15 to one ATS run in this tournament. That's going to be a tough game. If you bet this, you're probably not going to enjoy it. Probably not going to be a fun two or two and a half hours.

But I did like UConn a lot against UCLA Sunday night. I'm going to go ahead and follow the Huskies again one more time here against Michigan State. And I think we got a good chance. Pretty good chance to have an all big east region final in the east with St. John's and UConn. At least that's what I had my bracket before. I've seen nothing to change my mind. Look, and you get this deep in the tournament. You need your seniors to play great. Alex Caravan's done that. Caravan's got 49 points and two tournament games. 27 and 22. Terrace Reed's got 41 points and 40 rebounds in two games. I trust the UConn seniors here. Tim, when you get outside of Jeremy Fears, who runs Michigan State Offense, they don't have a lot of places to go. Spartans kind of limited on how many offensive options they have outside of Fears. I'll say it's down to the wire game that Danny Hurley finds way to beat us out tomorrow night. That's going to be a tip off our show tomorrow night here on V7 Primetime. No, St. John's Duke is. Let's talk about it.

Oh, yeah, yeah, I thought I'm sorry. Oh, well, yeah, St. John's Duke and then right after that UConn Michigan State, right? And then Tennessee and Iowa State will be the late night game. I took the points with Tennessee here. Took four and a half. Fan dual still has it juiced. You student get a four out there. Joshua Jefferson status. Obviously, the big question in this one. Good news, folks. Dustin Svetlson's coming up next. He'll have the second half of both Houston and Illinois. Arkansas and Arizona Wildcats right now leading. Arkansas 50 to 37. Illinois up to at the break over Houston. Should be some great finishes in those games. That's coming up next with caching out. Thanks to all of our guests today.
