Volkswagen Recalls 100K EVs Due to Battery Module Issues

The action covers around 75,000 cars from Volkswagen's ID lineup, plus nearly 20,000 Cooper-born models built from February. 2022, through August 2024. Owners might notice shorter driving range from the faulty modules, and there's also a potential fire hazard involved. Dealers will handle the fix with a software update for all affected cars, plus a full battery inspection, and module replacements were necessary.
