On April 30th, the Minnesota Vikings just added some depth to their defensive line by signing Eric Johnson the second, a 27-year-old, defensive tackle who was a free agent from the Indian apolis Colts. Originally drafted in the fifth round by the Colts back in 2022, Johnson has bounced around a bit, including a stint with the New England, Patriots in 2024 after getting claimed off-wavers. Over his career, he's played in 51 games mostly with Indy, wrecking a 41 tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery, though he stayed mostly. As a backup rotational guy, last season, he saw action in 12 games for the Colts with six tackles, logging just 16% of defensive snaps and 5% on special. Team solid effort, but no breakout moments yet. At 6 foot 4 and 320 pounds, Johnson brings energy to Minnesota, and now we'll watch if the Vikings can unlock more from him than his old teams did.
