ESPN insider Adam Schefter highlighted two solid options during an appearance on the Pat McAfee show earlier this week, Collar Murray and Geno Smith. Schefter noted that while Daniel Jones from the Indianapolis Colts could be a perfect fit, his price tag is likely too steep for Minnesota to pull. Geno Smith just wrapped a tough 2025 campaign with the Las Vegas Raiders, going two wins and 13 losses. He completed 67.4% of his passes with 19 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. At 36 years old by October, Smith could thrive in head coach Kevin O'Connell's offense, which has boosted other quarterbacks before. Most free agents carry some risks, but that opens doors for budget-friendly signings.
