Vanderbilt Stuns Florida, Advances to SEC Tournament Final

0:00On March 14, Vanderbilt pulled off a big upset in the southeastern conference tournament semi-finals, beating 4th ranked Florida 91-2, 74. The 22nd ranked Commodores got 20 points from Tyler Tanner to knock out the defending national champions in advance to Sunday's final. Vanderbilt improved to 26 wins and 7 losses, riding a 4-game winning streak into the championship match. Four other players had double figures, including 17 from Jalen Washington and 15 from Duke Miles, while six guys drained three pointers, and everyone who played scored. Four to sides, 12 game run come to a screeching halt, despite leading the nation in rebounding with a 38-23 edge on the boards. The gators shot poorly, especially in the first half, and never led by more than two points early. The Commodores took control with an 11-point spurt before halftime, leading 47 to 34, and kept Florida at least 13 points. Back in the second half, Vanderbilt's biggest run pushed the margin to 25 late.
