On March 3rd, Vanderbilt Women's Basketball Coach Shea Ralph has been named South Eastern Conference Coach of the Year. The conference made the announcement on March 3rd. She joins two of her stars, who also picked up major honors, with Michaela Blake's earning player of the year and Aubrey Galvin taking freshman of the C year. This marks just the sixth time in league history that one school has swept the coach, player, and freshman awards in a single season. It's the first sweep ever for Vanderbilt, and Ralph becomes the first coach in program history to win the honor. The team put up a stellar regular season under her lead, finishing 27 wins and three losses. That ties the school record for most regular season victories and includes a league-high 13-South Eastern Conference wins. They ended up tie for second in the standings. Ralph is in her fifth season with the Commodores. She hit her 100th career win as a head coach by beating Tennessee to close out the regular year.
