Vanderbilt Lands Auburn Transfer Forward

As a freshman, he put up seven points, three and a half rebounds, one and a half assists, and two stocks per game. He shot over 50% from the field, and nearly 31% from three-point range. Auburn's coaches really wanted to keep him and thought they had, but he hit the transfer portal right before it closed. Vanderbilt jumped in quick as a top option. Building on their history with him, back in high school, Williams Adams saw Vanderbilt as a finalist but picked Auburn instead. Fast forward, and Vanderbilt's a whole new beast under coach Mark Beinten, with a real results to show. Now they made two NCAA tournament runs since then, one SEC Games, and built a solid foundation for forwards like him. That track record flipped the script on his recruitment. This move strengthens Vanderbilt's front court, and shows how far they've come in just two years, setting them up strong for the next season.
