On April 27th, two former San Francisco 49ers are switching coasts to join the Dallas Cowboys. Why receiver Marquez-Baldis-Scantling and linebacker Curtis Robinson just inked deals there, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Marquez-Baldis-Scantling bounced around last year. He spent the offseason with the Seattle Seahawks, then signed with the 49ers right before the 2025 season kicked off. He suited up for five games, hauling in four catches for 40 yards, got cut, tried the Pittsburgh Steelers, and now lands in Dallas. Meanwhile, Curtis Robinson's exit from San Francisco wasn't a total shock. The Niners reloaded at linebacker by resigning Luke Gifford, grabbing Jaden Dugger in the fifth round and bringing back Dre Greenlaw even after. Trading D-Winters. roster spots dried up quick for Robinson. Robinson joined the 49ers back in 2021 and played 26 games over five seasons, mostly on special teams with nearly four. Hundred snaps total.

Last year, injuries to Fred Warner and Tatum Batoon forced him into starts, but he struggled in that bigger role. Cowboys snagging these vets shores up death on both sides of the ball, while the Niners keep reshaping that linebacker room for the long haul.
