US-China Trade Talks in Paris: Progress Ahead

That deal paused the trade war, where tariffs had spiked into triple digits before both nations backed off. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi called this a big year for US-China relations last week, with high-level exchanges already planned. President Trump's upcoming visit to China marks the first by a US leader since his trip there in 2017. Besson and his Chinese counterpart, he have driven these talks since last year, meeting in places like Geneva, London, Stockholm, Madrid, and Kuala.
