The Damita Podcast with Charlotte Harper — Update on security session logic. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
00Okay guys, I'm excited to share with you this little tweak that I got going. So my security consumers, I have this asynchronous get off function and I've modified it to be synchronous so I can call it in a sync to async and I call it update sessions. And update sessions works similarly to the remote protocol where I'm using Clovals and tying things down to the session with the secret key and also getting the session key and user ID and I updated that get off function so it's not sync to async so I'm not getting a code routine as a result and as a result I get a message of yes or no and that message I send here. I save in the session's SSS as a message and then I'm awaiting this remote thread after
04I set remote sessions to the self and then in the global remote sessions I just call update sessions to get the remote sessions and then I check if the SQ is in sessions and this is the session message, sessions of self-diasky is the session message and I'll go ahead and send that it's text data, save it as a last session and await a sleep. So that's pretty much what I'm doing and that's how I'm managing these async code routines to work a little bit better and faster for security on the website. So that's basically what I wanted to show you. Okay. Thanks for watching guys.
07So pretty much what I can do with that is I can go through. So I have on this page I have a few sessions loaded and you can see and I can you see yeah the green button is marked and approved and I can go ahead and disapprove. I can go ahead and disapprove the session and then you know all thank you out on my screen. You'll see the session will be not in an approval state so it'll show a blue pop up with
09recommendations to authorize. There it is and then I can turn it and set it back to normal and then that disappears and I just have a little panel here where I set the sessions and settings. So that's basically it that's what I wanted to show you guys. Alright I'll see you guys.
