南極条約会議が開会式　観光規制で前進目指す―広島

第４８回南極条約協議国会議の開会式に臨む各国の参加者、１２日午前、広島市中区南極の平和利用などについて話し合う第４８回南極条約協議国会議の開会式が１２日、広島市で行われ、観光規制やコウテイペンギン保護を巡る議論が本格化した。 Participants started full-fledged talks at a Japan-hosted international conference in Hiroshima, western Japan, on Tuesday, discussing ways to regulate the growing number of tourists visiting Antarctica and protect emperor penguins, an endangered species affected by climate change.
