身披條紋斗篷，頭戴斗笠，
姓獨角仙，名三十郎的獨角仙武士，
有一天突然現身在一座村莊。
三十郎在村裡開了一家丸子店，還娶了老婆，
丸子店的生意非常好，招來椿象阿龜的嫉妒。
原來椿象阿龜也開了丸子店，卻沒人上門，
於是阿龜去拜託村裡的惡官大鍬形蟲，
要他幫忙毀掉三十郎的丸子店。
正當惡官的手下們在三十郎的店裡搗亂，
一個神秘的劍客-鍬形蟲傳八及時出手相救，
雖然惡官的手下們被趕走了，事情卻還沒結束...
