個人を追い出しても、また新しい問題児が生まれるのは、今の組織という舞台を立て直すために必要な配役だから。
他責経営者は「誰が悪いのか」にフォーカスし、自責経営者は「問題の本質」にフォーカスする。
多くの組織において「問題児」は組織の問題を表してくれている役割に過ぎない。
問題は個人でなく組織にあるため、その問題児が会社を辞めると、別の人が問題児の役割を演じることになる。
よって、問題児が現れた時の問いは「この組織の問題は何か？」である。
