Towers, who had no license or insurance, fled the scene after the wreck in Epping Essex. He got four years and three months in prison in 2023 for causing death by dangerous driving and other charges. After the government's early release program started in September 2024 to ease prison overcrowding, Towers walked free after serving. Only 20 months or 40% of a sentence back in February 2025, he was supposed to finish the rest on license until August 20th, 27. But just weeks later, he got caught speeding and driving while disqualified on the A-127. On March 5th, a court sent him back inside for six months, banned him from driving for another six months and 21 days and hit him with 85 pounds in costs plus a 154 pound
