Unicorns

0:00I should get out of here everybody. The, you ever wondered, many of the legends that we have in the world, stem ultimately, everything comes from the Torah, at least the good parts. So if you ever wonder where to get a unicorn from, where is this unicorn nonsense that comes from? Multi-colon, so the truth is, it's like many Disney movies. It comes from some medrish that's been stolen, if you will. And indeed, the medrish tells us that there was an animal called a tachash. And the tachash was a multi-colored skinned animal. That the purpose of this animal was created solely, says for the sake of the Mishkan. The covering of the Mishkan, one of them was a multi-colored skinned animal. No, we don't see anything like that. And the medrish says that's because God created it at the dawn of time,

1:03specifically for a certain period of time. And when that time, that was the Mishkan. And they said, let me just say I didn't need it. And then when the time expired of it, it grew extinct. And this tachash, it has a name called the Susquevana. It says, that's another name. It's Susquevana. And that comes from, which translates, proud of itself. And it's a beautiful idea that it's a stretch that we should take a name proud of itself, because we like humility. Judy is a pushes humility. One of the commentaries explains that humility is great, but you have to have pride in what way. If you're doing something for God, you have to have a sense of pride in what you're doing. And that is a message. Anybody that's fulfilling their mission, when you're doing, you have to have to be proud Jew. We're living in such a period of time. This is not a time for meekness. In our mission, we have to have pride.

2:04And we have to learn from the tachash. I hear the whole tachash here says, I'm proud why my creation is here to serve God. And I'm doing my mission. So to each and every Jew, each and every one of us has to have a pride in our yaddas, in our Judaism, in our Torah, in our Mitzvahs, and to be proud, to our observant Jews. And we'll show you.
