UNC Lacrosse Stars Honored, Set for Playoff Push

Player of the year, Attackman Owen Duffy and Dominic Petremala both made the all-ACC team. This announcement dropped Tuesday evening, spotlighting Tar Heel's dominance on both ends of the field. Wombach, a face-off beast from Pittsburgh, New York, has won 238 face-offs this spring, grabbing 157 ground, balls. He's fourth nationally at 68.4% face-off wins and leaves the country with 11.2 ground balls per game. The seniors won the face-off battle in 13-14 games, plus he's hit career highs with A-goals and four assists. Meanwhile, Duffy, a junior from East Quogue, New York, tops Carolina with 33 assists in 61 points, including 28 goals. He's one of just five ACC players over 50 points, dishing three or more assists in seven games, and five plus points in six.
