UNC Edges Clemson in Close Smith Center Battle

Luca Bogovak led the way with a season-high 20 points, draining 6-3 pointers most of them after half-time. The tarheels shot poorly overall, but stayed perfect at home. Now 18 wins and 0 losses this season. Clemson jumped ahead late in the first half with a 7-0 run to lead 30-27 at the break. Both Carolina responded early in the second with a 12-0 spurt, then held firm in the closing minutes on an 8-0 run to seal it. The Tigers kept fighting back, tying in multiple times before free throws iced the game. This win marked the final home appearance for seniors Seth Trimble and Elijah Davis, plus a few team managers. Trimble added 9 points and drew key fouls in his last game there. Fans celebrated as Carolina broke its own record for most Smith Center wins in a season. Henry Vesar chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists before fouling out.
