The blaze was reported around 1pm, and quickly spread across rough terrain thanks to strong winds pushing its southwest. Crews faced tough conditions from the steep landscape and steady gusts, which slowed down their efforts to get in and put it out. 4pm, no homes or buildings had been damaged. Local officials kept a close eye on nearby structures just in case, while urging folks to steer clear of the area. They also told residents to check nixel alerts for the latest news.
