Civilians in Syria back in 2011, he worked for Syrian Air Force Intelligence in Damascus at the time, and this marched the first prosecution of its kind in the UK. Counterterrorism, policing's war crimes unit, led the investigation, highlighting growing efforts to address international atrocities. The charges include three counts of murder as a crime against humanity, three counts of torture, and one count of conduct related to such murder. He is set to appear at Westminster Magistrate's Court on Tuesday as authorities push forward with accountability for these past events.
