UK Proposes New Towns for 15K+ Homes

Manchester Victoria North, for example, includes a new metro-link stop to connect people to work across the city. Most sites target at least 10,000 homes, and some could reach 40,000 over the coming decades. Officials emphasize designing these areas for everyday modern life, featuring walkable neighborhoods, shared parks and lively high streets where cars are essential. The goal is to create secure, opportunity-filled communities that families actually want. Meanwhile, the government announced the National Housing Bank set to launch on April 1st, with up to 16 billion pounds in backing to support.
