UK Bans Drunken Duo, 4k Damage

0:00On March 31st, 219-year-old women from Bournemouth just got hit with a nationwide ban from every pub, bar, nightclub, and hotel in the U.K. After they trashed a hotel reception while drunk, Cara McKeon and Larissa Samascaja, along with their friend Jasmine Orchard, went wild at the Truville Hotel around 11.20 a.m. on April 19th last year, when staff asked them to leave since they weren't guests. Things escalated quick, McKeon swung a vodka bottle, chucked vases, a computer screen, and even a fire extinguisher at workers hiding in a back office. She spat at the receptionist twice and smashed up the place, leaving broken glass and overturned furniture everywhere. Samascaja grabbed the extinguisher too, but didn't spray it, and the trio caused chaos caught on CCTV. The judge slammed their antics as straight up disgraceful, saying it terrified the staff and wrecked the hotel's vibe. Owners tally 4,000 pounds in clean-up, refunds, and lost bookings from bad reviews, plus the receptionist took days off from the stress.

1:04Prosecutors called it criminal damage and a fray, with a real reputational harm, both McKeon and Samascaja caught please, got 12 week jail terms suspended for a year, and must pay 350 pounds each in. Compensation Samascaja also faces 15 rehab days and 12 mental health sessions. Their lawyers blamed youth, booze, and personal struggles, swearing they've turned it around. Orchard, who played a smaller role, walked with a 12-month conditional discharge and 111 pounds in costs back in January. Judge made it clear this is their last shot, or prisons next, curbing their social scene hard to drive the lesson home.
