UCLA Bruins Secure NCAA Tournament Win

0:00On March 21st, UCLA's 7th-seated men's basketball team punched their ticket to the second round of the NCAA Tournament's East Region with a tough, 75-71, went over 10th-seated UCF on Friday in Philadelphia. The Bruins pulled it off without seeing your forward. Tyler Bilado, who sat out with a right knee sprain, leaning hard on Coach Mick Cronin's gritty, defense to hold the line. Junior guard Eric Daley Jr. stepped up big time, leading the team with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks, while Jr. Forward, a Xavier Booker added 15 points, 8 rebounds, and a game high 4 blocks in the starting spot. Sophomore Trent Perry chipped in 15 points, mostly from the free-throw line. Red shirt senior Donovan Dent tally 10 points, 5 assists, and 6 steals, and Senior Sky Clark fought through losing a tooth to an elbow, but returned with 8 points and 2 steals. That team effort keeps UCLA rolling, setting up a matchup against the winner of another first round clash as the tournament heats up.
