UAE Intercepts Iranian Drones, Mourns Fallen Soldiers

The jet fired an A-9X sidewinder missile, destroying the drone in seconds right over the water. Earlier this week, the UAE Defense Ministry reported detecting 117 drones, with 113 intercepted and destroyed. While four landed inside the country, they also took down 16 Iranian missiles, with just one falling into the sea. This came amid Iran's retaliatory strikes on the UAE and other Gulf nations like Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia falling the killing of Ayatollah. Khamenei, the attacks caused real harm, including the death of a Pakistani driver from falling debris near two Dubai skyscrapers that caught fire. Dubai International Airport shut down briefly after a nearby explosion, stranding passengers. On Monday, officials announced detecting 15 more ballistic missiles, none of which hit UAE soil.

Iran's president apologized to Gulf neighbors for the strikes, promising no more, unless their bases target Iran, but military leaders there haven't. Ruled out further action, the UAE remains firm, with its forces ready to protect the nation's security.
