Ty Simpson's Rise: Rams' Next Super Bowl Hero?

0:00On April 25, Ty Simpson turned heads at the NFL Combine and landed with the Los Angeles Rams as the 13th overall pick in the draft. Coming out of Alabama, he was seen as just a decent quarterback, nothing special, lacking that top tier consistency scouts crave for a first-rounder. His combine performance skyrocketed his stock, but the pick still shocked plenty of fans on Draft Knight who questioned if he was ready for the leap. His coach Sean McVey has a magic touch with quarterbacks, though. Heats up Jerry Goff, who struggled under the old regime, molded him into an NFC champ, then flipped him for assets. McVey did the same with Matthew Stafford, cleaning up his game after years of playoff droughts in Detroit, turning him into a Super Bowl hero on track, for the Hall of Fame. With that track record, Simpson couldn't have asked for a better spot. The Rams build winners, and McVey might just unlock his potential as the next. Big thing under center.
