Ty Knutson Invited to Elite Eleven Finals

The three star from Spring Branch, Smithson Valley, nabbed one of the final invites to the Elite 11 finals, one of the top honors for high school, quarterbacks. Coach Steve Sarkasian clearly sees star potential beyond his current ranking. This camp, now in his 27th year, brings 20 of the nation's best quarterbacks to Los Angeles for three days of intense drills in June. Newtson earned his spot by shining at the Elite 11 regional in Dallas back in March, alongside Michigan State commit, cammed in Lopati as the last two. Picks, Texas has a strong track record here, with Newtson becoming the 12th Longhorn's pledge to get invited. Last year, freshman Diabelle, took home MVP honors, the first from the program, to do it among 11 pass imbites. Fans are buzzing about the pipeline staying hot. Newtson, at six foot three and two or two pounds, ranks as the 33rd quarterback, and 4296th overall prospect per rivals.
