Interior Minister Mustafa Sifchi announced plans that include buffer zones along the border and tent camps to handle any sudden influx. Right now, there's no unusual activity at the three main border crossings. Authorities have outlined three main contingency options. First, they aim to manage flows on the Iranian side. If that fails, buffer zones come into play. As a last step, they would allow controlled entry into Turkey. Turkey has set up initial spots to house up to 90,000 people using tents and temporary sites. This comes amid tensions from the conflict next door, putting pressure on border resources. Earlier this week, witnesses spotted hundreds of Iranians crossing into Turkey, with more waiting.
