There are tunnels all over the world which are used for various reasons. Cars travel through tunnels to help them get to their destination more efficiently. People dig tunnels to mine for gems or precious metals. There are tunnels under ground to route utilities throughout the city.
We pass through these tunnels as they appear without giving it a second thought. We assume as we enter one end that we will soon come out the other side, safe and sound. Sometimes though, we don’t make it out alive..
