The spirit of this revolution is not going away. This is the Ron Paul Liberty Report with Ron Paul, Daniel McAdams, and Chris Rossini. We are all ambassadors of the Ron Paul doctrine, and it's possible to just tell the truth. An idea for this time has come to not be stopped by any army for any government. Hello everybody and thank you for tuning in to the Liberty Report. With us today we have Daniel McAdams, our co-host, Daniel. Good to see you. Good morning Dr. Paul. How are you today? Doing fine. Good morning. We're going to work on stopping a war. That'd be nice. Good luck. Anyway, there's talk of it and you get your choice. Even in administration, you might get a choice.

They're not all hawks. They're all confused, but whatever. Anyway, there is news in here about what's happening because when I woke up early in the morning, Trump said something important and the markets responded. Gold went up sharply and guess what? The stocks went up and everybody was happy. He says, I can see an end to this war coming soon. Well, if it's that simple, why didn't he do it a long time ago? And if it's so simple, why did he ever start the war anyway? And then if you want some other one where you don't say, never give up. Never give up. Then you go and look for a hexath. What he had to say. He says, stay in there, buddy. We have a lot to do. We can get that oil. And yet, there were some news about hexath. We might even mention that in this program today. Something that you shouldn't be happy with bad news for people.

But in a way, I have to think that since I don't like his policies, if the news on hexath is true, it should maybe calm him down a little bit. Maybe he'll lose some of the authority that he holds in the administration. Because he's a lot of voice in the administration. And so that'll be interesting to see what happened. But the one thing for sure, the markets are rocky up and down. The stocks loved Trump State. I think it was up around 600 for a while, still up 500 points. That's a pretty good day for just ordinary stock changing and things to improving. And Trump says the war can end. And gold is back going up. That gets a little bit confusing because it's not following all the rules. And that annoys a lot of people. And therefore, people thought they had a hand to love it.

But watching gold or the dollar in relationship to gold for a long time, there's a lot of ups and downs and a lot of surprises. And a real challenge for those people who trade in gold. So here, because that responsibility was turned over to the Fed way back in 1913. With the relationship, the ratio between gold and money was $20. You could get an ounce of gold. That sounds like a pretty good deal. But now it has been up as high as $6,000. So something big is going on. And I'll tell you what, you're not getting stability and understanding and belief and liberty. You're here, the word, tossed around. And that's been going around, especially in the last 10 years. And that is the word fascism. Are we going to have fascism or what's going on?

And there are hints and there are people who fear the fact that we're developing into a fascist system. But in the meantime, we want to try to figure out just what this off ramp is. What's coming is Trump want to get out. The war's not over. But if he could say that so quickly, why did he do it yesterday? Why did he do it last? Why didn't he stay out of it? But anyway, it was a token good news for an hour or two. We'll have to wait and see how it comes later because believe me, if you're a reporter and a journalist and a investor and you try it honestly to get the information that would help you reach a logical conclusion or whatever you were doing, that's a challenge. That's a real challenge to figure out by what the market is telling us because the market is up and down and all over the place.

But sometimes people still make money in the markets like this. Sometimes people make money off selling weaponry. And that's why some people say, war's good for the economy. Yeah, the economy of the war mongers. So that's where we are today and not an answer to all our problems, but enough to think about. Yeah, the question is whether this is another Trump panic because we've seen a pattern now of Monday before the markets open, Trump making dovish statements to try to reassure the markets and try to keep a tamper down on oil and other things. So we saw that yesterday and it was a mixed message because on the one hand there was the dove message and then he followed up with a stick big time if you remember. He threatened to take out all civilian infrastructure in Iran, which of course is a war crime. And he also threatened to take out the desalination plant in Iran, which I don't know if anyone has told him, wouldn't have the effect that he thought because the Iran has said in retaliation.

If that does happen, it will take out desalination plants of the other Gulf countries. Now the other Gulf countries such as Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and others rely up to the 90% range for their drinking water from desalinated water. But Iran only uses 2% to 3% desalinated water. So he would be hurting his allies a lot more than he'd be hurting Iran, but nevertheless still a war crime. So you had that yesterday and then there was a bit of a ripple in the market. But as you said, it didn't really respond like they expected. So then he came out today with another one. And if you put that up, this is via zero hedge. This is the off ramp metaphor. Off ramp imminent. Trump tells the world, quote, go get your own oil via the straight after decimating Iran. And after comments apparently leaked to the Wall Street Journal overnight, that Trump is willing to leave Iran with the straight unopened.

The president has clarified his thinking this morning. So the issue here, Dr. Paul, is truly bizarre, which is that now the US's main goal is undoing a consequence of its action in the first place in the Gulf, which is the closing of the straight. Iran said, hey, if you bomb us, we're going to close the straight. The US said, we don't believe you. And they started dropping bombs. And Iran said, okay, we're going to close the straight. And now we're upset that the straight is closed. So there you go. But let's see what Trump was saying this morning in his truth social post this morning. He seems a little petulant here. He said, all of those countries that can't get jet fuel because of the straight of war moves, like the UK, which refused to get involved in the decapitation of Iran. I have a suggestion for you. Number one, buy from the US. We have plenty. Number two, build up some delayed courage. Go to the straight and just take it. You'll have to start learning how to fight for yourself. The USA won't be there to help you anymore, just like you weren't there for us.

Iran has been essentially decimated. The hard part is done. Go get your own oil, President DJT. There's a lot of problems with this, Dr. Paul. First of all, you can leave it up for a second. First of all, we cannot make up. The United States cannot make up for the oil that's gone off of commission. The result of the Hormuz straight being closed. We simply don't have the ability to deliver that into the world markets. So that's not true. And number two, the idea, there's a sort of a misunderstanding of NATO among the Trump administration. It's a really easy treaty to read. I've read it many times. I know you have Dr. Paul. If the US goes off and starts a war of choice, a war of aggression against another country, there's absolutely no obligation. You cannot find it anywhere in Article 5 that the US's NATO partners should come to its assistance. It is literally a defensive treaty. Now, if we were sitting here mining our own business, and Iran decided to launch submissile 6,000 miles away and hit the US,

well, then the US could invoke Article 5 and the other countries would have the opinion or the option, I should say, of coming to help us. But you don't get it both ways. You don't get to kick sand in someone's face. And when the guy gets up and he's a huge massive bodybuilder, call your buddies to help you out, which is what the US is trying to do here. So we caused a problem. The US caused a problem by closing, getting the straight of Hormuz closed, and now we're blaming everyone else but ourselves for the fact that it is closed. You know, I disappointed that you don't have reporters. Some of them have access to the President, I guess, to ask him a question. How often, under new circumstances, do you have a reporter? Maybe they don't get on the right list to be called on. But the promise was, and what the people liked before the election, was the promise of decreasing wars. We're going to stop the wars at the same time. We're not going to start anything new.

Well, why couldn't they point that out in a form of a question? But it's just not done. If it's done, I'm missing it someplace because I've never said, maybe Trump is just true enough to know how to answer these questions and they're fluffing over and they're on to another subject. Yeah, well, here's what you were talking about the markets. Here's a couple of charts that hedge put in. Now, go to that next one. The Wall Street Journal reported last night, Trump saying, hey, we may just get out without opening the straight. You can see that the oil price drops precipitously. And then, of course, they're crept back up and Trump this morning led out his, go get your own oil talk and oil did calm down for a while. I don't know what the latest is. I haven't checked before the show. But if you go to the next one, now, here's the reverse from the markets. There's a huge boost in the market there on the left. When the Wall Street Journal published these talks about bothering to open the straight-of-form moves, and then you have it going down a bit and then you have another jump

when Trump came out this morning. So the markets are reacting to what is being said. Yeah, as you said earlier, they're not acting in a rational way. But the big problem is because that's very important all this stuff and interpreting what's happening. But things move so quickly, not even in a logical manner. Things go back and forth up and down. Today we're doing this the next day. Oh, yeah, I gave them 48 hours. But I think I'll extend it for five more days before we start killing it again. I mean, the whole thing doesn't make any sense when it comes to try to figure out finances. So I'll tell you what, as this economy worsens, they're going to have a tougher time doing it because the big fight that was been going on for more than just this skirmish that we're having with. You cray or with Iran is the whole thing about the big fight that's going on which has a significance equal to all this in an economic sense is the fight

between the Federal Reserve and Trump. What should interest rates be? And the one thing I've always given Trump credit for is he knows something about business. He knows the real estate market and he knows how important the price of money is. And he doesn't understand that the market price of money is so important because that's the interest rate. But what he thinks he can do is if low interest rates helps correct things for an hour, he doesn't realize it's only going to be one hour if that long. So that fight's going on and it's going to happen. It's ongoing every day and he has his guy lined up to start to take over. And now Powell says, well what if I don't want to leave? But that is boring stuff when it comes to some of this weaponry and militarism that goes on.

But they'll clash, the tool clash because I've always argued that some of the nonsense that come out that when you're in a deep recession or I guess prevent a recession, what you do is you start a war and that adds to jobs which is lots of baloney is what it is. You know, I keep saying, well didn't World War II and the Depression? I said, you know, in a way some numbers got better because people were employed. But how many were drafted in the military by hundreds of thousands and face death? They say, well the unemployment rate was getting lower. So that is the two things are important. And the one thing is all the stuff that they do and all the weaponry and all the problems they face. They never tie it quite and look at it. And the Congress never wants to talk about it. And that is the true danger of this 39 trillion dollar debt.

You know, and how they're going to liquidate that debt. Absolutely. Well, as you know, our friend Joe Zelente says, when all else fails, they take you to war. That looks like what's happening. But things aren't going well. Now Trump is worried about the markets. Yeah, I think he's got a good handle on the media because the media is so pro-war. But the markets are different. But here are a couple of things that I clip that indicate how badly things are going. First of all, France and Italy block airspace for some US planes operating in Iran. Now, we already heard yesterday that Spain said, no way, Jose, you can't use our bases. You can't even overfly our territory to attack Iran because it's in the illegal war. But France has reportedly refused to allow US to use its airspace to transport weapons for the Iran conflict. The first such denial since the war began follows a similar moon by move by Spain signaling a glowing reluctance and angst among key European allies. At the same time, Italy has denied certain US aircraft access to its airbase and Sicily,

though officials insist the issue stems from procedural violations. One thing that we're not really getting, Dr. Paul, is a view of what has happened in the Middle East. And I think our media either is afraid to cover it or is not interested in covering it. But I have one video of, this is our US military base in Kuwait. This was a major US military base. And this is indicative of the first video. And please turn the sound down because there's an annoying screeching. And let's just look at the video for a second. But this is the military. This is a major US military installation. We don't even need the earpieces here. We can just look at it. What's happening? Now, you can see that the base is completely devastated. You could not house troops there if you wanted. The buildings are demolished. Everything is blown up. And this is the case with 13 US bases in the region. They're uninhabitable. The Wall Street Journal itself reported that earlier on.

So you may not see this at home when you hear things about obliterated. But I would call this base, this US military base obliterated. We can stop that one now. And so the other thing that did happen, Dr. Paul, is the Chinese and Pakistanis. Remember, they tried to host a peace talk over the weekend in Iran. I don't know what you're talking about. We're not going. But they have released five points. And put that next one up because this is what they've talked about. It's very minimal. It's not a video. It's just a, it's just a JPEG on Tuesday. Today, they issued a five point initiative. I think this is kind of an icebreaker, Dr. Paul. But the China impact stand got together because they know they're suffering too. So immediate cessation of hostilities. The start of peace talks as soon as possible. Security of non-military targets, security of shipping lanes. And primacy of the UN Charter. Of course, that's important because that is about respecting the sovereignty of other countries. Bombing them definitely is a show of disrespect for sovereignty.

But there you have it. That's what, that's what they're trying to get things started. And they're going to have a job doing this because they're going to be up against the wall. They want to stop the war, so to speak. And when they talk about it and say, let's do this. It's with, oh, we don't need to have to worry about car violence. We don't have to worry about this. We don't have to open up the streets. And I keep thinking that they're trying, that they're surrendering. If they do leave, that is. If Trump says, we're just going to close the shop and let the Europeans worry about their own oil. That's not likely to happen. But the whole thing is that they're moving because they're not about to have celebrations of total victory. And look, we finally have converted the Iranians into a libertarian society.

And they're doing quite well and getting along with everybody. Because there's no victory there. Most people understand there's usually no complete victory in most wars. There's so much expense and so many people that I killed. So this is something they're scoring on. But I see these announcements. I say, this is almost like surrender. And hopefully, maybe this is good, but leave town. But that's, of course, my advice a long time ago. Don't go, but if you go, go home. If you're going to run into all this frustration and death and destruction, you showed this destruction just a minute ago. Well, one of the things that we are in the business of here is hard truth. It's not always pretty. And I thought someone did a great list of really what the result is of this war. And go to that next one. This is Najam Ali posting on X. He's an economist and politician or a politics expert University of Michigan.

He was a CEO. He is a CEO. So he's a guy that we should listen to. He's been there. He's in academia and business. And here is a very, very interesting, if you go to the next one. This is really, he said so after the complete obliteration of Iran and its military capabilities, the USA and Israel have achieved the following. So here are the great achievements of the war, Dr. Paul. Iran's regime is still in place and it's more hard line than it ever was before. Iran is selling more oil and at $100 a barrel. The oil sanctions are no longer effective. Middle East economies have been devastated and oil infrastructure damaged with medium-term consequences. Israel is being pounded from three directions with considerable damage that's been suppressed by forests. The US Navy has run away from the Persian Gulf. Oil prices doubled, go to the next one. This is the number eight. Iran now controls 20% of the world oil flows, which may increase to 30%. If Iran decides to close shipping in the Red Sea through the Houthis,

nine, the straight-of-formals will remain under Iran's control for the foreseeable future. Ten, Iran is likely to get out of the non-proliferation treaty and develop nuclear weapons. 11 Trump has done so well in the war that he's likely to lose the midterms. 12 Netanyahu who used to shamelessly roam around has been mostly in hiding. 13 US bases in the Gulf have been obliterated and Iran says the US must leave the Middle East now. 14, the world is likely to experience inflation and low economic growth in the next year. 15, the entire world opinion has changed in favor of Iran. 16 NATO and European allies have refused to participate. In the war, he concludes by saying thank you for your attention to this matter. That is a pretty grim 16 points to the result of the war, Dr. Paul. That is why you don't go to war on the advice of Neocons like Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio and Peacats, because that's in all of these guys, Ted Cruz. That's why you listen to people who actually know a little bit about war before you go away.

You know, when Trump was given instructions that we're shifting gears here, you could just go get your own oil. You need to go get it. That's what we do. You know, go get your own oil. And I just wonder whether they... I've listened carefully, but I don't hear it. And they say, you know, Trump says Senals are around. Go get your own oil. Around is already decimated. You know, he doesn't say it, but the war is over. We won. But they never say, well, I want him to explain the consequence of this, so he didn't grant any exemptions to this. I thought he was going to say, oh, except for Israel, we'll take care of you. And you know that even if they didn't move away one step, but the whole thing is such a mess. I think our intervention, our pretense, I think this makes our case.

When you look at what's going on in the Middle East and all this oil stuff, and I've argued for a long time that, ultimately, our foreign policy intervention is not going to be helpful to Israel, because our allies don't even like us like they have before. What if we still want to take care of our allies? And what if we can't do it anymore? What if we don't have the ability or the money to do this? And this would really endanger Israel. It's sort of like dependency raising children or taking care of families. If you teach them very rich, taking care of their children by having largest, then they get conditioned to that. So when you really get up against all big odds, you're not very good at taking care of oneself. I think that's the reason I see Israel in greater danger.

Of course, people are said to say, the few people that, I guess we have to admit, a few more are saying we should sort this out and the war in Gaza has helped make people think about this issue. But that is to me something that would be not easy to accomplish that would convince people that self-reliance, even with people in a predicament that Israel finds themselves in a territorial sense. That is something that I think is conceivable. And I'm not the only one that has ever said this. People have recognized that all the benefits and all the financial help and the military help. All the hasn't made, hasn't given them the incentives to do better with their neighbors.

Well, that's Nazim Ali, who I just put up mentioned. He talked about Israel being worse off for this war. As he said, number five, Israel being pounded from three different directions. So there you go. But anyway, you talked a little bit about Hegseth. Hegseth did a press conference this morning. There seems to be mixed messaging because Hegseth loves to push out his chest and pound it and act like the tough guy. I'm going to go to that next clip, Secretary of War Hegseth. Now, he is, Trump is talking about an off-ramp and Hegseth is doing the opposite. Secretary of War Hegseth says, upcoming days will be decisive. And we're damaging Iran's military morale. War Hegseth's, that's hard to say, comments were not quite a mission accomplished, but definitely a reflection on the courage and completion of systematically destroying Iran's military capabilities. I don't know, Dr. Paul. I look at the missile damage reports every day from Iran into Israel and its neighbors. It doesn't look like they have been systematically destroyed.

However, he also said he was visiting troops over the region. He says that the upcoming days will be decisive. Now, he's been saying that for a couple of weeks, Dr. Paul. I'm saying that they still expect Iran to launch missiles, but we will shoot down incoming threats. Saw reports that eight out of ten missiles are getting through the Iran shoots. So that's also another bluff. We're running out of interceptor missiles very quickly. According to Hegseth, sustained U.S. strikes are not only degrading military assets, but damaging Iran's military morale, triggering widespread desertions. It makes me more like a psychological warfare than anything. But we do have a video clip of Hegseth in his briefing this morning, where he's definitely getting bluster. You want to grab that earpiece, Dr. Paul. Let's listen to our illustrious secretary of war, former Fox News host and DC National Guard member. That second video, if we can put that up and listen to Hegseth.

If we have that one, second video. We'll trouble playing it. Okay, we're looking for that third one. But while we're waiting for Hegseth, yeah, so he's down there. You know, Dr. Paul, the other thing about Hegseth, while we're trying to get that going, he talked about Hegseth maybe taking some heat. If you remember, I think Trump is already throwing him under the bus. Because a few days ago, when Trump was having that staff meeting, and it was all televised, remember what he said. He said, it was Pete's idea to go in. He's the one that wanted this war. And he was saying it as a joke. But sometimes jokes like that, especially when they come from bullies, are signaling to the world, this is Pete's war. And if the tide starts to change, I think in the US, which it has certainly among all but the Maga crowd. But even with them, if it starts to turn against this war, I think you're going to see a rapid exit from Hegseth. So anyway, if we can't do that, let's just go to that next clip.

Because you alluded to this, Dr. Paul, you teased about this earlier. And this is an F.P. article, but I actually described one from X. This is from A.F. Post. But if you have F.T. Financial Times, you can look at it. This is a series issued, Dr. Paul. A broker for a war secretary, Pete Hegseth, reportedly tried to make a major investment in leading defense firms in the week before the US is rarely attacked on Iran. Hegseth's broker at Morgan Stanley contacted BlackRock in February about making a multi-million dollar investment in the Ascent Manager's Defense Industrial's active ETF shortly before the US launched military action against Tehran, according to the Financial Times. Now, if that is true, Dr. Paul, that obviously would be a serious, serious breach of ethics in the administration. But we've seen, every time Trump has made these announcements, there has been several people on the inside with seemingly insider information

that have profited to the tunes of hundreds of millions of dollars. So I don't know if Pam Bondy is going to get on it, but you might have a serious problem with corruption. You know, this seems like an event and very serious, and we know the people they're talking about. But the bigger picture that's absent, this looks like a personal thing that went on, and it's sort of like gravy on top of it, because we know how strong the lobbyist is. That's where the real action is. He's sort of a, you know, not a big player. Maybe he's in the Nancy Pelosi category or something. But he, I mean, the military, because that's sort of complex, they cover their bases years before, as constant, and it's been going on for years. And that is, get your people in there that no matter what their philosophy has been

about stopping wars and stopping and spending, they seem to lose all of their ability to resist, you know, a little bit of pressure, so they go along with it, because they don't want to lose their position. We've talked about that a lot, but I think this is very serious, and I think it does need to be investigated, because in a way, this is an individual trying to benefit about it. But the other one is individuals to the tune of thousands of people benefit about it, and then people sort of are drawn into it, and they don't even realize that this should be questionable. They think that this is the right thing to do, and this is the patriotic thing to do, because when I even vote against this, some of these bills, they then charge me with corruption. They charge me with patriotism. I didn't want to take care of the truth, you know, that stuff. And on this stuff, we're not picking on this administration,

anyone can go back and watch the Liberty Report, for four years of Biden, we were hammering constantly on the corruption of that administration. Yeah. Serious stuff. We would have thought maybe this would have been better, but it doesn't look like it is better. You know, I think about this, I know time is fleeting, but, you know, if we have a welfare program, which under our terms would be illegal and unconstitutional, because you take for one group, and I use the words, you steal from this group and give it to this other group. But when those programs are going on, as long as you're following the regulations, you're not doing anything. But what if you take a little bit off the top as an individual? Oh, you shouldn't have done it. I shouldn't have done it. But the bigger crime is setting the stage where they stole a big bundle from one group and passed something on to the other. And that's the problem with the country faces, because I think you're always going to have people stealing and be corrupt. But they're both evil.

They're both immoral. But they forget about the admonition that when you take money from one group to subsidize another group, and that's what the military industrial complex says. All those new equipment, it's science is fantastic of what they can do, but it's war games that they're playing. And in a very negative sense, it's just going to play, we'll have to test these weapons. And maybe the other day, that might have been just a test on a new weapon. Yeah, a new missile will test it on a school in the Iran and killed a bunch of young girls. Very sad. Well, I'm going to close out now. He put that very last clip up. I've got to tell you what to talk to Paul. I got to call when we finished the show yesterday for Marjorie Taylor Green. We chatted for a while on the phone. I had never talked to her before. She's delightful. She's so full of energy. We were chatting about her talk. She's really excited. She can't wait to meet you. She can't wait to see you. But we were talking about her talk. And she came up with a great title for her speech. It's called Marga is dead. Where do we go from here?

So which is interesting, really interesting. She's very amped about a new political movement about getting away from this, getting away from all this party stuff. So she will be speaking in our conference in a few days. And I mentioned it yesterday. We're about 80% sold out. Unless we can secure another section, some more seats in there. We're going to sell out really quickly. And I'm going to get a lot of emails from unhappy people. And there'll be nothing I can do about it. So if you are interested in going, go ahead and grab those tickets quick. I'm going to probably stop talking about this because they're going to sell out too soon. But I just wanted to mention that great call I had with MTG. Right. And I want to close with a quickie on the big picture of what happens under these conditions. And, you know, up leading to the war and it's been around from, especially in the last 10 years, throwing around the word fascism. Oh, you're a fascist of it. And it's sometimes they're half correct in using the word. But I think they overused the word

because I don't think we've had actual fascism. But we have a lot of hints that we're moving in that direction. And Mises warned us. If you combine big business and big government for a long enough period of time, you exhaust the funds. And then you get very competitive. And then the easy taxation, you know, comes to an end. And inflating the currency comes to an end. And that is when it becomes militant. Okay. What we have to do is that people aren't falling the rules. And then they invite the military. And we've seen that, you know, in the last couple of years. The military has been cold out on our streets now. And there's a lot of bad people out in the streets. And it's a difficult question. How exactly can you answer that with a clear understanding of the Constitution? But I think it's this whole idea. I think my conclusion is we are moving toward fascism. But I don't think it's where most people talk about

because they don't like somebody. Oh, you're just a fascist. And they're not using the word. We are corporatists. Corporatists we use. And we have pushed the corporations together. And to government. And that is why you see the military industrial complex, the pharmaceutical industry, and on and on. They get together. And they're a mob rule. They get 51% of the time. I don't understand why the four left who pretend they want to take and help the poor. They decided they put all these groups together. And everybody bids a group. And they get what they want.
