Even two Trump picks, Neil Gorsuch, and Amy Coney Barrett, sided with the court, while Thomas, Alito, and Kavanaugh dissented. Customs had to build a whole new setup, from nothing to handle the payouts. Over 3,000 companies jumped in with lawsuits even before the ruling, including heavy hitters like sketchers, Revlon, Toyota, Nintendo, FedEx, and Costco. They paid the tariffs directly, so they're first in line, but everyday folks who saw higher prices on clothes and gadgets get no direct cut. FedEx says it'll pass refunds straight to the customers who covered the costs originally. Costco talks about dropping prices, but shoppers are suing anyway, doubting those promises.
