Wake County checked 57 spots, Durham 41, and smaller numbers in orange, Johnston and Chatham. Only three restaurants fell short of an A grade, one C in Wake and two Bs in Durham, while everywhere else earned perfect A's. In Wake County, brunches at crossroads and carry scored 77.5% on March 5th, landing a C. Inspectors noted issues like, missing soap at the cooking sink, smelly cutting boards, improper food temperatures for items like chicken salad, and lots of fruit flies near the. Meat prep area, these scores come from North Carolina's system to grade hygiene and prevent food-borne illnesses, with A's at 90% and up, B's from 82, 89.9, and C's from 70, to 79.9. Over in Durham, Anjapar Chattanoid, bar and grill got 84% on March 4th, citing handwashing lapses, raw chicken stored over sauces, and debris on clean pans, Michoac and Mexican restaurant scored 89.5% on March 9th, with problems like eggshells touching cooked food and undated items. Meanwhile, Orange County's 15 inspections, Johnson's 30, and Chattanoid's 8-all hit a grade with no issues.
