The team just agreed to a one-year $7 million extension with veteran tackle trend Brown, bringing him back to right tackle for the 20, 26 season at NRG Stadium. Brown proved reliable down the stress last year during their 12 and 5 regular season and playoff push. The 32-year-old started seven games after coming off injured reserve and shown in the wildcard win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He sat out the divisional round loss to the New England Patriots, a 28-16 defeat, but his steady pass protection made a real difference when he was in. A 10-year NFL veteran, Brown has lined up for the San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, Las Vegas Raiders, and Cincinnati Bengals before. Joining Houston last offseason, he battled back from a torn Patella tendon injury from his time with the Bengals.
